Thanks Dogz. i hope you are doing OK. That sounds awful!!
I get this coughing every year. It is a dry cough due to allergies and post nasl drip. 2 years ago they even tested me for asthma since it lasted so long. Of course in planning all this IVF stuff, I didn't even take into consideration that I would get the cough again. It actually started about 2 days before my ET. Great timing! I think some how it comes with the first frost, but it may be corn pollen. I am allergic to it and we live around corn fields. For my 2 days of bedrest, I was so unpset that I kept coughing. I too have taken something with codine in the past. The Drs have tried many things. I have been trying various allergy meds the Dr. OKed and today, I am trying nothing. I figure the less meds the better anyway and they don't seem to be helping. I also find if I don't talk, I don't cough, but good luck with that!
Thank you for the advice. I hope you are feeling better. Honey helps a cough too. 3 TBS. before bed or when you need it. It actually tested more helpful then cough meds. It takes a little while to get used to it, but I do find it helps sooth the throat. If you have a deep cough from the chest, that may not work. But it is drug free.
It helps so much to hear the coughing should not harm anything, but after my chemical, I am still so scared. I told DH about my ticker and he said, "Aren't you jumping a little ahead of yourself?" But last cycle my beta was 18 and this time it was 960. We'll see what comes about tomorrow with beta #2.

Sorry it took me sooo long to post. I slept most of the day. ER went well. We got 18 eggs! SO we are happy with that. Now the hard part....getting them to fertilize and make it to transfer. I hate these next 5 days..waiting for the call to see how they are doing. It is torture. Anyway, I will let you know when I hear something tomorrow.

Hey Ladies

Post by tonyacheek24 »

I have a question for you. Over the weekend I have had the chills and at first I was like Oh lord, I getting the flu but I don't feel sick, just tired alot and nautious alot. Has anyone experienced the chills, like you can't get warm? I can't tell if I'm getting sick or if it's due to pregnacy.

Hey ladies, I am so glad to see all of the bfp's and my heart breaks for each and everyone of you when I read about the bfn's. I am thinking about everyone, but just haven't been able to immerse myself in the boards the way I usually do.

I cancelled my consult appt with RE on the 27th. I was sick and so was the baby and I couldn't find a sitter. I find it pointless anyway, I already know what he is going to say. I asked if he could call me instead of me driving a half hour each way while sick, and he said that was fine, but of course no call yet. They were busy last week with retrievals, so I am sure I will hear from him soon. I just need to know if he recommends dh go through TESE again while we try to figure out financing to try again or save up money.

I am still pretty down about it not working out, but I am getting over it. It is what it is. I am taking all of my negative energy and putting it into something positive at least. My husband has wanted to go professional with photography for a long time, so I finally said, "Why not? Let's give it a try!" It is really taking off already. You can check out our website at www.toddphilip.com. Of course we used some pics of Ella for our portfolio.

Neffi- Congrats on so many eggies, but I will be praying for high fert numbers...I know that is where you struggle, so I am keeping everything crossed for you.

I will try to check in more often, but just know I am thinking of you all, and praying.

Sooo...I went for beta #2 today. The nurse said as she was taking my blood that they were looking for my number to double. But since it was 960 she suspected it wouldn't double since it was so high to start with, but was looking for a rise. HA HA! So they call this afternoon and it 3000 something. I was too shocked to hear past 3000. So it more then doubled. It is pointing very much to twins she said or I just have high HCG. I said, good thing I only put 1embie in. She was surprised by that. I could be looking at identical twin boys here. So they are pushing up my u/s to Wednesday to find out. We would prefer 1, but maybe God had some other plans in mind for us.

Michele-I checked out your website...it is very nice. You and DH have some talent! Good luck with your new adventure and making that baby!

Jayden and Lisa-Im so jealous! I have to wait a week longer than ya'll and it looks as if my ER/ET was before ya'llsl. Im so impateint!

AFM-My sinus infedction is starting to go away! Yay! But, now Im having another probelm...i know i know....im a handful. Anyways I think using all those progesterone suppositories these past few weeks is taking its toll down there. I think I have a yeast infection, but im not sure, it may be irratation from all the suppositories. Any advice? the docs said it is ok to use monostat...but I thought I would check with my IVF sistas first. you all know everything.

Kala...I had the same thing. I found a jell at the pharmacy called Yeast Guard. It is all natural. It really has helped. RE aslo said to "let it all hang out" as much as possible. Whenever you can, don't wear undies. Both those things helped me each cycle. It does take a few days however.

Lisa - WHOA! 3000? That is just crazy! I am so excited for you and DH...how many DD do you have already and what are their ages? I am sure they will be a big help :D

Michele-I also took a peek at your website..very nice indeed and I recognized little Ella, she is a darling! Wish you all the best!

Beth - So what are you doing to pass the time? Snuggle in little embies!

Neffi - ANy news on the fertilization report..I am praying for good news!

AFM - I got a 3rd Beta yesterday (Monday) it came back at 1212 and the nurse said that we great so now I just have to wait! U/S is Nov. 18th and it will be hard to go that long without sometype of check to let me know things are still progressing. My hubby and I are still pretty reserved and are not sharing our news at this point. Well not with anyone except you ladies :D
