Hello- Got my Swine flu and seasonal flu vaccine today. I was debating a lot as to whether to get these or not, but most of what I researched pointed to getting it. I have a 6 year old in 1st grade and I was afraid I would at least get it from him. I had him get it also and he was not a happy camper. Poor little man :(
Lisa- those numbers are amazing. Congrats! How many days past transfer were you when you got the first beta? Also, was it a 3 or 5dt?
I'll be curious to see your results on Wednesday also. How fun!
Shelby- I have my first OB appt on 11/12 and will have an u/s also. Maybe you can re-post your blingy updater so we can track every-one's comings and goings. I have lost track of who is doing what on which days. Thanks for your well wishes, I am cramping less and the spotting is much better, it's hardly there at all. It was nice yesterday catching up on some housework. I have been such a lazy little thing lately. These two little rices sure are taking a lot of mamma's energy. Stats, I can't even imagine how you feel. I presume energy is a precious gift right now. The other thing is the eating. I am not normally one to always eat three meals a day and I don't really "snack" that often. Now I have to eat all the time and it's not something I'm used to. I kinda think...I just ate, how can I be hungry again? I feel like a little cow crazing all the time...I'll make that a goat just to make myself feel better
I was never one to be very good at hydrating either. I drank when I got thirsty but I'm not too good at just drinking water for the heck of it. Now I am thirsty all the time, and I know I have to drink water even if I'm not that thirsty so that the rices have their hydration.
Funny how many changes we go through when pregnant. BTW- Wish it was summer so I could show off the "girls". I look like I got a boob job...loving it (except don't touch :x their off limits--DH doesn't like that). By the time warm weather comes around next year, I'll be more like a spokes model for the Michelin Blimp and the girls will be overshadowed by the belly 8)
Well ladies take care, Melanie

The funny thing is, out of everyone here, I did not want twins. We only put 1 embie in. I already have a 7 and 5 yr old. But the Lord never gives us more then we can handle. I guess we will see what happens tomorrow. DH says he'd rather 2 than none. Right now I'm picturing a bigger house and NO MONEY ever again!

My first beta was 13dp5dt (960). Second was 16dp5dt (3000 something or another).

Lisa, I also did not want twins. We tried 4 years for baby #2 (have 6yo DS). First IVF we put in two day 3 embies, which is fairly conservative-bfn. Then we did an FET with 1 day 5 blast, for exact reasons your stating. bfn again. So this past FET we did 2 day 5 blasts figuring we needed to up the odds, and they both took  We were shocked to say the least. I always pictured myself having 2 kids, not 3. But, I am happy to be pregnant, and be having a chance to be a Mommy again. I still am in some denial about the whole prospect. I know how hard it was to have just 1 newborn, so this is crazy to think about. I really think multiples are probably easier on first time parents since they don't know any different, plus they don't have another little one running around, or 2 in your case. Just my opinion though.
I put your numbers into babymed.com. They have an hcg calculator. Your first beta is 18dpo and then your next was 3 days later. It shows your betas are on the up side of the high normal range for a singleton. Meaning, you could have very strong hcg levels for one, or you could have twins. You can plug my numbers in if you want a reference, since I have twins. My first one was at 15dpo, then every 2 days for next two betas. Numbers are below in my signiture line.

Ladies, have a great day. My little man is off school today for elections, so I have to go and keep him busy. I wish I was having one of my higher energy days, but such is life  He's very patient though...He actually lets me take little naps as long as he is occupied :)
Take care, Melanie

I have just moved over here from the IVF board. We had been through 3 IVF cycles..first was a miscarriage at 5 weeks, next 2 were BFN, our 4th and final cycle I am now 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant!!! I still can't believe our dream is finally coming true. I can't wait until the first trimester is over so I can relax a little bit. I try not to worry or stress but it's really hard not too. I have my second ultrasound tomorrow and she said I should be able to see the yolk sack, the embryo and possibly even the heartbeat!!!! My first ultrasound at 5 weeks and 4 days all we could see was the gestational sack but she said it was measuring perfectly!!! I am so excited but also a little scared!!! I just hope everything is as it should be tomorrow!!!! :D :D :D

We are so excited (and relieved). We had our first ultrasound today and heard/saw one perfect little heartbeat!!!!! The heartbeat was 130 and the doctor said he/she is measuring 6 weeks 6 days which is right on track. No concerns at this point. Until my doctor pointed out the heartbeat, I'm not sure I was breathing. (We were unable to see a heartbeat with our first pregnancy.) Ruthie...welcome and I completely understand the not trying to worry. It is so hard to do though. Good luck tomorrow.

I will go back in 2 weeks for another US=)

My husband and I really thought that we were possibly having twins with the high numbers but it turned out to be just one. So maybe that will be the case for you Lisa. You never can tell.
I don't think I slept at all last night and I am looking forward to an afternoon nap. =) Thanks for sharing in our excitement with us!

Hi Everyone!

ruthiej74- I know how you feel. My RE said that once you hear the heartbeat the chances of m/c go down to about 5-10% which I thought was a hugh relief. Hope that helps you relax a little after your next u/s!

melanie_100-How's it goin chica! Glad to see everything is looking good for you and your 2 little beanies! Looks like I'm going to get the flu shot too. I've been debating but you're right everthing points to "get it". I am with you on the drinking water too...I'm not a very big water drinker in general but I've been trying to make myself drink as much as possible every day. My DH even texted me one day to "Drink more water" lol.

lisa10- Hey hon! Me and DH didn't really want twins either...we put 2 embies in knowing that the chances were less for one taking due to my endo issues. my beta numbers were pretty high and the RE said he was thinking twins but there was only one in there at the time of my 1st u/s so there is still hope. We actually had a scare during the u/s...RE thought he saw 2 heartbeats in one sac which would mean identicals but it turned out to be just a vibration of the one heartbeat. I am relieved that there is only one...I started to freak thinking there might be two...where would we put everything, how are we going to afford it, our house is so small (only 2 bedrooms) not to mention the elvated risks to the babies and mother...so we are very relieved there is only one! GL, here's hoping to one strong heartbeat in there for you!!

twest-- Glad your fall wasn't too bad...I'm with the others, you'll be just fine!

kala0704- thanks for the ticker info...I'm gonna put one on now too!

shelby and stats- Glad to hear all is well with the multiples!!!

AFM- Not much new here...my 2nd u/s is Friday with my OB/GYN so pretty excited about that. I've just been tired and feel winded most of the time but feeling really good today. I've think my boobies are getting bigger finally but they don't really hurt at all so that's nice. I've had a little nausea that consists of just not feeling hungary or actually feeling stuffed so I just don't want to eat but as soon as I eat something, I don't feel stuffed anymore...wierd huh? Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

Has anyone bleed and have a successful pregnancy? I started spotting yesterday afternoon and last night it turned into dark heavy flow. I went to the emergency room and got a u/s done and blood work. They said my blood work was normal and u/s show a sack and a yolk to early for a hb. The pain and bleeding stopped after a couple of hours and I was put on bed rest for 4 days. Today I'm feeling good, I feel pregnant but I'm so scared now.

Ruthiej74 – Great to have you!

Twest – Congratulations on hearing the HB. That sound is music to my ears every time I hear them!

Jaydentd – I have heard plenty of ladies say that they have bleeding and everything turns out just fine. From what I understand, it’s perfectly normal. Try not to worry too much (easier said than done).

AFM – My nausea, UTI, fatigue, and overall being miserable was getting better….until yesterday. I have sinus problems @ this time every year and they are hitting me with a vengeance! I guess I will be sleeping in the recliner tonight so I can breathe. I got my H1N1 shot this afternoon, too.

Shelby- Thank you soo much for the awesome update board! It's soo fun to see all the great things happening over here!

Melanie- I was cracking up about your "girls". I too am loving this particular body change going on. I'm hyper sensitive about them though because I feel like it gives my secret away!

Twest- Congrats on your perfect little bean!!

Ruthie- Welcome! Good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow, I too hope you get to see the heartbeat!

Lisa- Great betas! I'm excited to hear your ultrasound results.

Jayden- Soo scary! I'm sorry you had to go though that! When I started spotting a few days ago I scanned the message board and found lots of woman that had bleeding and gave birth to healthy babies.

Everyone I left out- Many blessings to you all and your growing babies!!

AFM- Started light spotting on Friday and totally freaked out. I called my RE's office and had to leave a message! No one called me back for hours and I was super mad. I had to call them back and demand to talk to a nurse. They said I was fine as long as it was just with wipes and not to so I had to wear a pad, and it was gone by the evening anyway. All was well until today I started spotting again, but a smidge heavier. I didn't even call my RE office and just choose to take most of the day off in bed. I am soooo annoyed at my RE office right now! My u/s isn't until next week and they are very stuck on that date and wont make it sooner. I can't seem to understand why they wont make it any sooner, especially when I am freaking out and I'm sure they extra stress is not good for me. They might end up with a Mega-Witch in their office come ultrasound day!! I have been tempted to call an OB just to get an early ultrasound and each day it tempts me more... On a positive note, I spent the day at the Hospital yesterday while my good friend gave birth to her 2nd child, a beautiful baby boy! Soo fun to get to hold a new baby and get really excited for the day when it's my baby I am holding! Had a sleepover last night with her 4 year old son and now I am exhausted!

Dillysgirl- I can't believe your Dr./nurses wouldn't be more sensitive. I hope all is well. Resting was probably a great idea.

Ruthie-Good luck to you today!

Melanie-I too was laughing when reading about the "girls"...too funny.

Kala-Are you feeling any better?

Jayden-Sorry to hear about your scary day. When do you go for another US?

sancap- Thanks for the info about m/c rates going down after you see the heartbeat. So happy to see the heartbeat yesterday but I'm not sure I will ever stop worrying.

Shelby- Thank you for all the updates. It looks awesome. One more piece of info you can add for me...EDD...June 24. Thanks. I hope you feel a little better. Did you really sleep in the chair?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well, I went for my second ultrasound today and things are not looking good. They couldn't see anything..not even a gestational sac. Last Friday they were able to see the gestational sac and it was measuring perfectly. I have had no bleeding or cramping at all. I have felt perfectly fine. Is it possibly they just missed it or its hiding??? Please god, I hope that everything is okay. I am waiting to hear what my HCG levels are today. I hope that they are higher then Friday. This is our last try.

jaydentd Dogzrule had heavy bleeding for several weeks and all is going well with her pregnancy. Try not to worry. I had some red bleeding the night before my first beta and all seems to be going OK.

Ruthie I have heard of them missing the sac at this stage. Hang in there. I can only imagine how scared you must be feeling.

In about an hour I'll know if it's 1 or 2!
