Ruthie - praying for you that they just missed it.

AFM - I am getting an u/s every week which is quite exciting. The baby is growing and next week it'll look like a gummibear with little arm and leg buds. It is so interesting.
Now I have to schedule a nuchal transluency US and some bloodwork to check if the baby is healthy it will be done in week 10. Is anyone doing that as well?

OK, so all looks good with the u/s. We got a sac and the start of a yok. I guess the nurse was not thinking it through when she said we'd know if it was 1 or 2 today though. In my case, since we put 1 embie in, there would only be 1 sac. And it's too early to see yoks and if a yok might show up later. So now I have to wait till next Friday for that answer. But in the meantime, everything looked really good.

I waited 3 hours, but I got my swine flu vacine yesturday too.

Melanie-Hahaha....you crack me up. Im the opposite...I use to eat all the time (Im 6'1", so Im a big girl). Now I dont want to eat a thing. Even the thought of food makes me neasuas. But no m/s yet!

Lisa-the only pet peeve I have about this forum is people jump on the multiple banwagon...and I have bit my tongue for too long. There is no definate correlation between betas and the number of sacs/hb's. If you look at the beta numbers that shelby updated on sept/oct board, over half of the "high" betas are singleton pregnancy. So no worries, what happens happens. But, i guess it is good to prepare yourself just in case. Sorry...Ill shut up now.

RuthieJ-good to see you! Im praying that your little one is already playing hide in go seek! Im anxiously waiting for your beta results. PMA to you!!!!

twest-Woooo hooo! What a great hb! How exciting that must have been Im so happy for you! (and there is another example to prove my earlier point).

Jayden-OMG!! You poor thing...Im scared for you! But, that is sooooo good that your bw is normal and they saw the sac. No worries....I hear that bleeding and cramps are normal. But you were smart to get it checked out. Enjoy your bedrest...get some sleep for me!

Shelby-allright girl, Im going to hop on the plane and fly over to Atlanta and we are going to have ourselves a pity party! Why cant we just enjoy our pregnancies!?!?! I bought Monostat 1 to clear up my YI, but I still have burning when I pee so Im thinking I may have a UTI...jees will it ever end! Good luck with your sinus...what a pain. The Netti Pot helped me a lot.

Dillysgirl-forget about your RE...i think you should go to your OB and get an U/S if that is what you really want. As long as it is at the point where you can see the hb. Good luck!

AFM-
Like I said, YI seems better but things are still weird down there. I pray that all this mess doesnt harm my baby(s). At least my sinus infection and cough is going away. I am 95% sure Im going to get the H1N1 vaccine given that my students are constantly germy and sick. My U/S is in one week!!! I cannot wait!!! I have to try and talk my principal to let me leave work early for it. Im a little tired but not enough to take naps....but Im surprised how many people have told me i look tired...and they all know im pregnant. Shouldnt they be saying Im glowing or something?!?!

jaydentd- I am so sorry to hear about your m/c. GL in whatever you decided to do next. My heart goes out to you. (((((((hugs)))))))

kala0704- I think the whole not wanting to eat thing is a part of m/s. I go through the same thing...just thinking about it makes me nausous sometimes but then I make myself eat something and I feel better. One of my co-workers that knows keeps telling me I look tired too...sometimes I just want to slap her.lol Also re: the twins thing, I thought for sure I was having 2 b/c of the beta #'s and it turns out that there is only one in there (thankfully) but I have to admit the thought of having two was both exciting and scarry for me, I guess we can't help but get caught up in the thought of it.

lisa10- congrats with your 1st u/s!!! Sounds like everything is on track and looking good!! Yay!

kiwi-NICE on the weekly u/s's...that would be exciting. I will ask about that nuchal transluency tomorrow at my next appt. Sounds interesting!

Ruthie I think the same thing happened to wolffie at one of her initial u/s and the little guy was just playing hide and seek with her. I guess they can be shy sometimes. Hopefully your little one is in there snuggling in tight and the tech just couldn't find her.

twest- I hear ya! I worry every day, even though I know the 5-10% thing now. I don't think it will ever end.

DillysGirl- I would probably freak out too if I started spotting. I can't believe they won't let you come in early. It seems like others just ask for the heck of it b/c they don't want to wait and get in earlier so it doesn't make sence that they won't let you in early. I'm sorry and good luck getting in sooner.

shelbyrn0214- Hope you start feeling better again soon. (((hugs)))

Kala I'm with you on the whole beta thing. It was actually my nurse freaking out about it. But she didn't even think it through to much. Because I only did 1 embie, the tech said I would only see 1 sac even if there were twins and it would be too early to see anything inside. So that doesn't make sense that the nurse wanted me to come in for an early u/s to check for twins. I looked up identical twins on line. Not a good plan. It was all about the complcations and stuff. I am so hoping for 1 baby now just so I have a smoother pregnancy. The tech did see one yok in the sac. So I am going to assume for now there is just 1 baby.

Hello ladies...

I too just came from the Sept/Oct IVF cycling board.

I'm a little concerned. I felt like I was losing my m/s (sore boobs, tiredness, twinges, etc...) so I asked RE to let me do an u/s last week.

They saw two sacs  but I'm not sure what all I'm looking for... With my son we didn't have an u/s this early, and when we did I remember seeing a "ring". What I saw last week was the gestational sacs (I guess). It was a black circle and had a small, thin, white thing in the middle of each one. Do you guys know if that is the beginning of the yolk sac or could it be the fetal pole? There was no "ring" in either one. I was 5 weeks 5 days pregnant at the time. The only thing RE said was that I was definitely pregnant (duh) and asked if I'd be ok with twins.

I, at first, thought twins would be so much fun; but now that it is a real possibility am scared out of my mind! We have one in daycare right now; how are we going to afford two more all at once! Yikes!!!

Prayers and advice/information would greatly be appreciated...also, do you know how to figure my est. due date? Doc says I'm 7 weeks today...so would that be June 24th...although I realize it could be sooner with twins.

Thanks!

Misty

mharrell- June 24th is the correct date and I only know that because I have the same due date (although I am having one.) I am seven weeks today also. I don't know the answer to your other questions. I had my first ultrasound on Tuesday (6 weeks, 4 days) and I was able to see the heartbeat!=) When is your next US?

Tonyacheek-Congrats!!! I just heard my babes heartbeat on Tuesday! So exciting.

Sancap-Enjoy your US tomorrow and the beach this weekend. I wish I could be doing both also!!!

Got to run...dinner is on the table. Take care all.

misty- I don't have an answer for you but you should check out this website http://www.pregnancy.org/fetaldevelopment you can see an ultrasound picture of each week so you know how it should look like.
I like it a lot, because it is more detailed than the pictures I see on my own u/s.

jayden - there are no words but I am really feeling for you and hope you'll feel better soon :(

AFM - today was my first day where my m/s was not that bad and I could keep my dentist appointment. Hope everyone is hanging in there
