buried in the mattress!!! DH and I have not slept in 2 days!!! It scares the crap out of me. I go in ther and slightly move her head to the side only just for her to move it back face down into the mattress.
Anyone have any advice?? I am scared to go to sleep and wake up to her not breathing.

You can try a sleep positioner, but it didn't work great for me. My little one started preferring her tummy to sleep pretty early too, and the only thing that gave me peace of mind was the monitor I have which detects motion. I would have gone crazy without it.

Glad you got the angel monitor...I was just going to suggest it. Friendly tip...turn the sensor all the way up...that way if she moves wayyyy off the pad to the other end of the crib...you wont get sooo many false alarms. You WILL get lots of false alarms, because they roll to the end of the crib where the sensor cant detect her motion. Dont panic...just go in and turn it off and turn it back on to reset it. We still use ours and Zach is almost 14 months old. But, we get false alarms probably 3 xs a week, because he always ends up smack against the end of the crib where the pad doesnt pick up his motion. Keep the pad in the center of the crib...if your baby rolls toward both ends of the crib, like Zach does.

I was going to suggest that monitor also - my three month prefers sleeping on her stomach and has since she was one month - I love my angel monitor

I know it looks scary, but she probably has small air spaces which allow her to breathe just fine. Also, does she roll over on her own? If so, the risk of SIDS is much lower.
