Ghost - ever heard of this???

1st beta 43, 2nd beta 48, 3rd beta 63. They told me to stop all meds and made my follow up with RE for today. Went to have my follow up with RE this morning to see what to try next. They call me this afternoon and my beta is 511. So from my 3rd beta to my 4th beta it doubled like it should. They said it could be 2 possiblities. Late implantation or ectopic. They told me that if I had severe pain on one side to call them and they would send me to the nearest ER. What are your thoughts?

Your clinic is correct. Are they planning an ultrasound soon? Also, did you resume taking the meds?

That's a very odd set of hCG readings for a viable pregnancy.

5th beta scheduled for Monday. I assume according to what the numbers are they will schedule me for ultrasound.

Stupid question... if you ignore either the first or second beta, do the numbers look very nice? Perhaps the lab made a mistake. It doesn't occur often, but we are human.

3rd beta to 4th beta doubled every 48 hours. I have 5th beta tomorrow so we will know more then. I was also told because I didn't have all of my beta's done at the same lab that could be an issue. They may not calabrate their machines the same. So I am holding out hope until tomorrow.

Did you continue to tak eyou meds? I have heard way to many doctors say to stop meds. I would never stop meds until beta went down! Hope this all works out for the best! Good luck!

5th beta yesterday was 824. RE wants to go ahead and do ultrasound tomorrow to see if he can see anything. I'm thinking they think ectopic...But nobody has come right out and said it..

Had ultrasound it was NOT ectopic, it was in uterus should have measured 6wks 2 days but was not even close. My beta dropped and they told me to stop meds. I have now miscarried. Having last beta tomorrow to make sure number is at 0. Will try FET in February.

Glad I sound strong because that it the last thing I am, this was my very 1st BFP. I am 39 about to turn 40 and thought this was it. I feel like a cruel joke has been played on me and I am having a hard time with my emotions. I am so angry. I am dealing with this each day and mentally trying to prepare myself for my FET in February. I know that I have a ways to go before I am totally ready but I will get there.
