Thanks everyone for all the well wishes for my mum. I'm waiting to hear how her appt. went with the plastic surgeon today but I think she'll be just fine...maybe have to get her nose reset but hopefully that's it.

kala0704- at first I told her I thought it was a yi and she said that it could just be irritation from the prog. but I was like I don't know...it's pretty bad irritation. She had to test me for a couple of STD's (by law) so while she was down there she noticed it was definately a yi. I was told to dothe prog supp until week 8 but I actually stopped at 7 weeks and 5 days because I started taking the yi cream and I figured it was just a bit much...only 2 days early that can't be too bad right? I wonder why we have to take this stuff and normal pregger girls don't have to? We should be just like the normal pregger girls now right?

kiwi- arms and legs...how cute, you little one is already starting to tak shape!! Again, I don't understand why we have to take this prog for so long...why are we any different than a naturally pregger girl at this point...NOT FAIR!

lisa10- GL with your u/s Friday!! I will be waiting to hear the results! You have got to be so strong to be able to hide this from everyone for soooo long. I bet you are excited to finally be able to tell someone! My OB said that after week 9-10 m/c's are very rare so I'm thinking I'm going to spill the beans to those who don't know then...my whole family and DH's family knows and my closest friends already...I have a big mouth I guess:)

twest- Correction...sleep, work, FORUM, sleep! I love sleep, I sit at work and daydream about getting into bed. Did I say I love sleep:)

DillysGirl- WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!  Congrats on your two little babies  , VERY exciting!

shelbyrn0214- GL tomorrow!

Hey Everyone-

I thought I would check in to see how everyone was doing. I have been extremly sick. I had to ask the doctor for nausea medicine. They prescribed Zophran. Hopefully this will help. I am now starting to spit alot. Boy this is really attractive :) Is anyone else this sick to this extreme, and all day? I keep asking myself how am i going to make it? I can't work, I really can't eat much without the food sitting on my stomach. The smell of any food is soo strong. I'm also experiencing motion sickness too. As I walk down the street, i start gauging and everyone is looking at me like I'm crazy hahhahhaah

I can't wait to go into my second trimester praying that I will start to feel better. I go to church every sunday, i haven't been to church in two sunday's in a row. I said to god, alright lord i'm not able to go to church now so I'm going to need some help hahhahaha.

Thank you everyone who said they like my ticker hahah I'm cracking myself up because I said Tickler in the beginning hahahahh. I have my second u/s on monday and prayerfully I will be off the progestrone shots. This may be TMI but does anyone else's urine smell like Nair hhahahh. Not attractive when you're trying to get in the mood. Which hasn't been happening since I've been pregnant. Poor hubby! I need to stock up on the magazines for him. hahahahah They have me on DelEstrogen and Progestrone shots. So ready for the depositories.

Twest- that's great our babies due dates are real close :) We have to send pictures after they are born :)

Sancap14 -I'm glad your mom will be just fine.

Dillysgirl-Congradulations on the twins :)

For everyone that I missed, I'm thinking of you. I can hardly type this email without feeling like throwing up. Plus my husband is making spaghetti and he's about to run me out of the house with the smell.

I will talk to you ladies later.

Take care!

Wow, lots of activity on here.
DillysGirl- Welcome to the club. I guess there really is twin dust going around! Congrats!
It's funny that people are asking about the meds because I was going to ask you guys a question about that as well.
I am currently on PIO and estrodial. I started at 2cc of PIO and 2mg of estrodial three times a day. My doc did a blood test at around 6.5 weeks and decreased me to 1.5 mg PIO and 2mg estrodial twice daily. I will take more blood tests this Thursday, and he will continue to wean me according to my levels. I will be on meds until 12 weeks, but will be slowly weaned off them.
As far as Amy's (Sancap) question on why we have to be on this, as far as for people that had FET, there is a very logical, medical reason to be on both these drugs. If anyone is curious as to why, let me know, I'd hate to bore you with details. It basically has to do with the fact that the system was suppressed not to ovulate, and so some hormones had to be supplemented. As far as fresh cycles, I'm not sure of reasons to be on estrodial if anyone is on it (sorry no help here). I believe one of the main reasons to be on progesterone, is the major studies and research done that proves that prog. decreases miscarriage rates in the first trimester. Many women that get pregnant normally, and have history of miscarriage or preterm labor will take progesterone supplements.
So here's my question:
My poor little hips are sooo sore ( I give my own PIO in my hips). It is getting hard to find where to inject. Last appt I had at RE's office, my nurse was surprised that I was still on injections. I may ask for Crinone soon since I took that before.
Can everyone write very quickly- Fresh or Frozen cycle, What meds you take (for IVF-do not include prenatal vitamin), in what form, how often and until what week. This may be nice for all of us to see and compare.

Here's mine:
FET
Currently: PIO 1.5ml (150mg) once daily
Estrodial 2mg Twice daily pill
Aspirin 81mg once daily pill
Take until: 12 Weeks

Have a great week, Melanie

Hi Ladies - I had my U/S today and we saw 1 sac and 1 heartbeat. We are so excited. I'm officially 6 weeks and 4 days. I go back in 2 weeks for another U/S and then will be released to OBGYN. The sickness has started with me and the not being able to eat I can totally relate to that. I think of something and then with me it's more the texture of the food not the smell. I don't even see how you ladies with twins are doing it. I'm so tired and ill and I've heard it's much worse with twins. Saying prayers for all of us to get through this rough patch!

I'm catching up on everyone's posts now. Sounds like everyone has lots going on.

The only medicine I'm on is endometrium suppositories 2 times a day. The nurse said today I would be on them through the 10th week. I've been amazed at all of the difference in meds between clinics.

Have a great evening!

FRESH
Currently: Progesterone Suppository 200mg 3x/day
Take until: 8 Weeks

Im glad Im just on the suppositories and not injections. that is too many needles and suppositories are a lot cheaper. The only problem is that they leak. but ill take leakage over needles any day. I was afraid that the RE was taking me off too early, but i read the placenta is supporting the pregnancy around this time.

FET cycle
1ml PIO nightly
Vivelle Dot patches(estradiol) 2 every other day
Take until 12ish weeks

*and I have to add extra 1400mcg of Folate to my regular prenatal b/c
of twins.

I was given my official date to stop meds today... Dec. 10th!! I want to frame the sticky note my nurse wrote it on! Def. putting that in the baby book as one of the many hugte milestones.
Melanie- You are a super woman for giving those PIO shots to yourself! My DH would like me to try it but I tell him that it's our secret bonding thing and it wouldn't mean as much alone :) I do give him a very small spot in which he can stick the needle after I poke the area and find the least sore spot.
bailey- Congrats to you! Soo fun to see the heartbeat!

Thanks for the congrats from everyone! I am soo excited I have not even been able to take a nap today, and not for lack of trying!

We had our u/s today too...we saw and heard two heartbeats...and my how those little beans have grown! I am feeling a lot better now. Thank you to all that responded a few days ago regarding my cramping scare.

As far as my meds...I am taking a baby aspirin and progesterone shots (I wasn't given the suppository option; don't know why). My RE took my blood today and told me that they could tell me tomorrow when I would be able to get off, but that the babies were taking well to the placenta and he didn't think it would be too much longer...yay!!! I am taking one shot (1 1/2 ml...?) every evening. We try to take it at the same time every night.

My doctor told me that since we did IVF (fresh cycle) that you have to "trick" your body into believing it is pregnant from the get go...which is why you have to begin taking the shots early on...so that your body doesn't begin to shed your uterine lining and the baby will have something to grab onto. I think they want you to continue to take it until the baby is so far along to make sure the body doesn't reject it and try to shed the lining...because remember, we are manipulating our bodies to get our desired effect...a beautiful baby! Therefore, you have to make sure you body is on the same page. So you definitely do not want to stop those progesterone shots/suppositories before they tell you to! And trust me, I'd be the first one wanting to quit...I literally have knots in my rear! DH has a hard time finding a spot that's not all lumpy! Hehehehe!

Glad to hear everyone is doing great! Hope your week is awesome!

FRESH CYCLE
PIO 2mg daily
Estrodial 2mg Twice daily
We haven't discussed when I will be done but I thought 12 weeks was mentioned.

I too had heard that the prog. is very important because of the way we went about getting pregnant. (Sort of like we missed a step that others go thru in a regular pregnancy.) The prog. acts as "the food" for the baby/babies at this point.
I have been surprised that my prog. shots have not been lowered. My prog. is way over 100 every time they do a blood test. Doesn't that seem high?

Congrats on another great US mharrell!

Yeah baileysgirl...congrats!
Gotta run!

Hello everyone. I hope it is okay for me to communicate on this forum eventhough I am due in July.

I had an u/s today nd there were only sacs again. No fetal poles. The sacs only measures 4 weeks in size. My betas are listed below in my signature. I am scheduled for a repeat u/s on Monday. I am really worried. Any thoughts?

Well I had my u/s yesterday and there was one little bean with a strong heart beat (114 beats/minute)!!!! DH and I are sooooooo happy. Even tough we were really hoping for twins, one little baby will be a great start!!! With this economy I dont know if I could afford two babies. Everything happens for a reason.

I got a picture of the baby too. But it was just a little smudge though. Hopefully when I go in two weeks, we can see it a little clearer. Im so excited!! I showed every one at work my little smudge today. I love it!

Bjones-Im praying that everything is okay. It may be two early to see the heartbeat if they are a little small. I hope that they have a growth spert ASAP! GL Monday.
