Iamhopeful - that reassures me quite a bit, and I'll be hoping for the best. You must be very excited for the u/s - good luck with the little bean!
Neffi - I'll make sure to keep checking for you after my beta!
I have my beta tomorrow. I'm stopping at the lab before 9am on my way to work, and then I usually hear from them in the early afternoon. This time, I'm going to have to wait because I have to teach a class at 2pm and I know I'll never be able to go into the classroom after bad news or good news. So, I'm going leave my cell phone on quiet and wait til I'm done.

ARGH! I just realized that I forgot to call my RE's office today to have them fax the order over to the lab. Even if I call in the morning, I probably won't catch them early enough to get the blood draw before work. I might have to wait until THURSDAY!!!

Hi,
First of all good luck & sticky baby dust to all.
I have my beta test on Friday, 10 days post a 2-day transfer which I think is too early. I was wondering how long will it take for the lab to issue the result and if there is a chance that the result would be inconclusive. I am really scared but anxious at the same time to find out and an inconclusive one would be a blow.
Well I did my first HPT this morning and it took over 30 mintues but the line is there! I am cautiosly optomistic becasue I know you are not suppose to read them after 10 mintues. Although I have been using this brand forever, and never had my neg tests change. I usually study them for days! So I am hopeful.
Beth-- thinking of you today!

Good luck to everyone today. I can't wait to hear results.
Afm... I had an ultrasound and bloodwork today (5 weeks and 6 days). I have not heard back from my blood work yet, but it is STILL twins. There were no heartbeats which kind of upset me, but what really bothered me is that they are only measuring at 4 weeks. They told me that right now things are looking okay since they have doubled in size since last week, but the only thing visible were the sacs...again. That is the same thing that I saw last week. they said that because of the shape of my uterus and the location of the embryos the image was not all that great and they could not do anything to make the image more clear. I have a repeat u/s on Monday, so I am praying that we have heartbeats then.

Still hanging out watching for Beth and Neffis news. Good luck to you both.
I finally talked to RE, apparantly he has been trying to call and my phone has been busy, which I believe b/c he is not the only one to say it. Ella likes to play with the phone, so I think it ends up off the hook a lot. So he said he doesn't know why it didn't work. He said they were embryos not meant to be and wanted to know what we wanted to do next. Of course I told him we want to keep trying but can't b/c of money. DH and I are both looking for jobs that will give us more coverage, and hopefully something will pan out soon.
I did just hear from the billing lady. My office normally charges $14,600 for ivf w/icsi and she said they are willing to discount a cycle for me to $9,700. It is a very good discount, but still more than we can afford right now. But maybe after we finish paying for what we financed from last time, we could finance that amount and afford the payment. Hopefully we won't have to do that and will just have insurance coverage.
For now, I am trying not to think about it too much, hence why I have been scarce on the boards. I just want to enjoy my holiday with my one blessing and worry about what comes next after the holiday. I will let you know if one of us finds a job with more coverage.

Lucienne- That does seem early. My guess is that even if the beta picks up a pregnancy, your number would be pretty low at that point. I think 14 dpo (or in your case 12 days post 2day) is more standard. Good luck!
Neffi - Hooray for your HPT! I'm hopeful for you too!
Bjones22 - My prayers for your twins too - If your doctor is being optimistic, I think that's a good reason for you to be optimistic too!
CT_Michele - Thanks for checking for those of us at the tail end of this thread! I probably should have joined the Nov board, but when I look at it, I get overwhelmed with how many people are there already! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for finding the insurance or $$ to keep going. Even though we're doing shared risk (and cleared out all savings to do so), I'm not sure how we're going to find the money for the meds if I need to do another fresh cycle!
AFM - I was right that I wasn't going to get the beta today. I actually drove to the REs office by 8am, which is 20 minutes away in the other direction from work, to try to get the blood work done there. (I usually stop at a lab on my way to work, and have them fax over the order the day before.) So I got there at 8 to learn that they wouldn't be open until 9am, and then turned right around and went to work. Sigh. So tomorrow will be the day.

Well I took another HPT like one hour later today and again the same thing. I got a faint line like 30 mintues later. So I will do another tomorrow and see what that one does.
Beth-- you must be sooooo annoyed that you have to wait a whole day extra! Well I'll be thinking about you tomorrow!
CT Michele- 9,700 is a good deal, but seriously, who can afford this! Its just crazy! It sucks so much that we have to plan our families around money and insurance!

Well my test was a very very light line again this morning so I called and told RE and I had my beta at 11:30 so I should hear this afternoon. The average according to betabaseinfo is 24 for 11dpo for a single pregnancy, so I am hoping for something around that!
Beth-- waiting to hear your news!
