Questions During the Dreaded 2WW

Post by KristinKR »

Hello,

First of all, could the 2WW be any longer???

What symptoms (if any) did you ladies experience during the 2ww? How soon after the transfer did the symptoms begin?

Also, is bleeding/spotting necessary for implantation?

We transferred (1) 8 cell grade 1, (1) 8 cell grade 2 and (1) 4 cell grade 1 on Sunday.

One more question: what is the earliest that you would advise to take a home pregnancy test?

I wish everyone the best!!

I had no symptoms other than sore (.)(.)'s. Which can be from the PIO anyway. Still don't have symptoms. I did have spotting, but many women do not. Some do. Some get BFP with lots of bleeding. My RE said ignore everything.

As far a HPT's. I say no, but it is as hard as hell not to! I took some with my first cycle and got positives. It tunred out to be a chemical pregnancy and I was devistated after thinking for so long I was PG. Some women get a neg HPT and test possitive on their beta. Sp possitives could mean nothing and negatives could mean nothing. Plus you'll get addicted. Just 1 is never enough. It's so hard. But I waited this cycle. Actaully 3 days longer then last time and got my BFP.

Symptoms

Post by BRMommy2B »

I am in the 2ww and was always wondering about symptoms. I don't really feel too different, except for some occassional cramping and slight tenderness, but not all the time. Is it just completely different for everyone? I go in on Thursday for my test, just trying to stay positive until then!

During my 2ww I had mentral cramps - to the point where I had convinced myself that it hadn't worked and I was going to get my period. I did not have any spotting at all. Lo and behold.. i was pregnant! I took and HPT the night before my scheduled blood draw and it was positive. That was the only one I took. I had a friend that was going through it the same time as me and she took an HPT every day until it was positive.. i thought she was nuts because the negatives would have broken my heart! But she was very laid back about the whole thing. She ended up being prego too and our babies were born 1 day apart! I think it was about 9 days between embryo transfer and my positive HPT. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

I did not have Amy implantation spotting. I had cramps and soreness so I started taking HPTs 3 days post transfer. I was negative until 5 days post transfer. On that day. Had a VERY FAINT line right before bedtime. I continued to poas until 9 days post transfer which was also the day of my beta at the doctor's office.

Hi all,
I am in the 2ww, 7days post a 2 day embryo transfer to be precise. At first (1-5 days post transfer) I was experiecing pain manily at the right ovary and some contractions. Was also feeling stiff especially in tummy area. As from yesterday, my tummy isn't that still any more & when I am distracted I barely feel anything. Have some twinges in both ovaries but mainly on the left this time. Have got pimples too, but this could be caused by the meds (probably progesterone) I am taking. I am afraid hat since the symptoms are fading, so are my success chances. My beta test is this Friday and I am scared of the outcome. Can anyone give me some courage please?

Thanks a lot.

Hello Ladies,

Thank you for all of your responses. What a long 2 weeks this has been!! I wish everyone patience and positive thoughts during this time!!!

For the past few days, I have noticed that my breasts are definitely on the sore side! Especially at night, when I take off my bra.

My beta is Friday, but I am considering taking a home preg test either tomorrow or thursday. We shall see...

Best wishes to everyone!!!! XXOO

HPT

My beta is Thursday, and I'm committed to not taking the home pregnancy test. I don't want to have any more confusion that I already have. I've heard that even if you take it, you're still anxious, because the hormones in your body could give it a false reading.

My company just decided to sponsor a luncheon on Thursday, and I have to go! SUCH bad timing. I will be a mess! I go in for the bloodwork at 7:30 am, and it only takes a couple of hours for the results. We've decided to have them tell my husband, and then he'll let me know once I get out of the meeting. Either way, I couldn't sit there with a bunch of people when I either want to cry or shout for joy!

I guess that's one of the downfalls of not telling people what's going on; they have no idea that the "Try not to schedule anything" on my calendar really means that!

Hi ladies. I just started my 2ww. Had ET yesterday (FET cycle with two 5 day blasts). Thank goodness I don't have to wait 14 days...only 9! So Nov 19th is a big day! I don't feel anything at all yet! I wish you all a HUGE BFP! We all deserve it!

Not a good sign

So I was supposed to go in tomorrow morning for my beta, but I think AF came to visit me last night. I called the RE this morning and they told me I could go ahead and come in today. Just got home, and awaiting the call. Nurse said there has been a lot of bleeding this cycle, so hope isn't lost yet, but I just don't want my hopes up when I'm pretty sure it's not going to happen. Left work, luckily don't have any appointments today so I can work from home today.

KristinKR- how you holding up? Did you POAS? I'm only on day 2 of my 2ww. No real symptoms that I can attribute to being pregnant! These PIO shots can cause our bodies to mimic pregnancy! ugh. I thought I feel a bit more heaviness today already but I think I'm over analyzing. I am thinking not to POAS...but who knows how I will feel by Sun or Mon? I have until next Thursday until my beta! I'm kind of enjoying being PUPO! ha!
