AFM- Had first OB visit (with nurse practitioner (NP) and ultrasound. Both babies look great, I can't believe how much they grew. I could see their head and butt, even the brain and little buds for arms and legs. Baby B even moved for us. How totally cute! I finally heard their heartbeats for the first time

They are both measuring exactly on the right date and everything looked wonderful. Baby A is laying sideways, and B has it's little head up, butt down. Sorry TMI, just excited
Bummer was that my RE was letting me video tape my u/s's, but my OB's office policy is no video (bull crap liability stuff). I was hoping to tape it so DH could hear the heartbeats. They gave me pictures, but that's not the same now is it
Appt went well. I was there for like 2.5 hours. I won't have my next appt for 4 weeks (no u/s)! And I won't get my next u/s until I'm 16 weeks (2 months from now)

I was very surprised by that since I'm kinda enjoying seeing the little rices every couple of weeks. I just figured since I was IVF and have twins, I would be followed more closely. Who knows though, I haven't had any face time with my OB, so maybe she'll want things differently. The NP was kinda giving me the schedule they give everyone which is mostly for singletons. You guys that have gone to OB's, are you going that long between u/s's? Are my fellow twin mamas being followed more closely?
BTW-Thanks to everyone who has been filling out the medication schedule. It was really cool to see the different regiments. I am going to ask my doctor to change me to Crinone gel. My poor hiney has had it.
Also good to know for the twin mamas, NP told me I had to add a 1mg supplement of Folic acid to my pills for the extra baby. Thought it may be good to know for anyone who hasn't had their OB appt. yet.
Well ladies, I am beyond tired today. I am having visions of my bed floating in my head
Good night, Melanie
