Amy, that was too funny that he pooped on you, lol! Sounds like you're getting things under control. Hopefully Ren will be home soon!

Tara/Kelly, I get the stretching. It "looks" like they are trying to claw and kick their way out of my belly! Sometimes the kicks are so hard they hurt. Still cute though :D .

Nicole, sorry about your hemmorroids. It will all be over soon! How's everything else going besides that?

AFM, I had an appt this morning. Nothing new to report really. The twins passed their BPP and everything looks good. There is so much pressure on my cervix and in my butt (don't know what that's about) that is driving me crazy! I literally can't sit straight up sometimes...when they are awake and moving around. It only gets a little better when I lay down. It's hard to fathom going another 3 weeks (wow, did I really just say 3 weeks?!?!) knowing they will just get bigger and the pressure will get worse. I think I'll truly be on bed rest by then!

Cynthia,

I too feel lot of pressure in my cervix with just one baby. I can only imagine how you must be feeling with two babies!!

I had my OB appointment today and had the GBS test done and my cervix checked. My cervix is very much closed, so no activity yet. My OB said they won't let me go past my due date which is December 7th because of the gestational diabetes. Another 3.5 weeks!! Can't wait.

Hey Ladies!!
Went to the doc. again yesterday. The baby did well on her non-stress test, her heart rate was good and she moved around good. After that was the actual doctor's appointment...which went ok. My blood pressure was 150/100...which was awful. Then I was anemic, which I have been since I got pregnant. I take 4 iron pills a day and I'm STILL anemic.
So they said there's nothing they can do about that, they just have to watch me for severe bleeding during delivery.
Still had protein in my urine, so they sent a 24 hour urine test home with me to measure the amount of protein over a whole day. I was already 2cm dilated, 80% thinned out, and my (this sounds gross) mucus plug was already gone. Her head is so low she could feel the head just checking my cervix. They gave me an induction date of November 23, just a little over a week from now. I am so glad, I just can't take much more!! So, looks like my little Gabriella will be here sooner than I thought.
Hope all of you are still hanging in there...I know we're all feeling a bit crappy right now, but we can make it!! Our little babies depend on us :D

Wow Kelly! You're so close! I envy you, lol. I won't be long behind you though ;o). Seems like just about everyone will be having their babies within about 2 weeks of each other. Fun times!

AFM, had another ob appt today. Again, nothing new to report. I was there waaay to long! The babies wouldn't cooperate for the NST as usual. Still the nurses try for like 45 minutes. Then they give up and work me into the ultrasound appts. Total we were there for over 3 hours so I was pretty b*tchy by the time we left. Mostly because I was STARVING! We ate and I came home and slept like 3 hours. Anyway, these kiddos aren't showing any signs of coming anytime soon so bring on Dec 4th!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Kellie - Congrats on getting a date to have the baby. I was 2cm dilated with a bloody show when they decided I needed to have the babies. I was also having contractions every 5-6 minutes with a very upset stomach. Are you having any contractions? Keep us posted!

AFM - Recovery is going slow. I can tell when I do too much because the incision is so sore. Piper is doing good. She eats every 3 hours so that means I only sleep 2-3 hours at a time but it's so worth it! Ren may get to go home tomorrow. They are making sure he does ok with his feedings.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

aims327 - Yes, when I go in for my non-stress tests I always have contractions about 5 minutes apart...but I don't feel them and the nurse just always says "oh, you're having contractions". So I guess she's not really worried about it?
I'm beginning to wonder if my doctors know what they are doing. I mean, my blood pressure is super high, I've had diarrhea for weeks, I have a low, dull headache, and now I'm feeling nauseous and dry heaving all day long for the past three or four days. But they act like "oh you're fine, just do this urine test for us".
It's awesome that Ren is getting close to coming home!! I know you want them both home, not just one. So how is it being a mommy? I'm so excited, yet nervous at the same time. I'm so scared I won't know how to take care of the baby. How is your husband doing? Is he helping you out?

cymplicity27 - I know it's so exciting to see everyone getting ready to be moms finally. We've all been on here for almost a year typing away about ourselves and now it's all almost over! I hope everyone keeps typing away and we can all stay in touch.

Tara2009 - So how is the diabetes doing? I hope you and the baby are doing well!!

KuteKellie -

YOU NEED TO GO TO A NEW DOCTOR!!! NOW!!! Your blood pressure is too high. Nausea and vomitting are NOT normal signs of pregnancy in the 3rd trimester. I'm beginning to think you have HELLP syndrome too which is even more serious than just preeclampsia.

What are the symptoms of HELLP syndrome?
The following are the most common symptoms of HELLP syndrome. However, each woman may exhibit experience symptoms differently. Symptoms may include:

right-sided upper abdominal pain or pain around the stomach
nausea, vomiting
headache
increased blood pressure
protein in the urine
edema (swelling

Please just go to a different doctor. Or, go to an emergency room. Or call the labor assessment area of a hospital. You are close to Charlotte, right? Please go to a major hospital there.

It is better for me (you) to be wrong about this than to sit and wait for the worst to happen. Please get a 2nd opinion from another hospital/doctor. I think your doctor is crazy not to induce you right now.

I've been through this and almost died. My high school classmate just died 3 days ago from preeclampia. You need to look out for yourself becomes sometimes doctors just don't always do the right thing or the best thing.

PLEASE GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR! It could very well save your life or your baby's.

As you know from my PMs, I'm not trying to scare you. I just want to make sure that you are taking care of yourself. I don't think your doctors are.

Kutekellie - Is everything ok with you? I was concerned after seeing EYCI's message. Please post when you get a chance.

AIMS - Is Ren home with you yet? You must have a full house now!!

I had my OB appointment and ultrasound today. Everything looks good. OB said I am 50% effaced!! I am a little excited. But cervix is closed still. I am scheduled to be induced on December 7th. Considering I am 50% effaced already, I may go into labor anytime before the 7th as well. Who knows what will happen?!

Hey everyone! I'm ok...my doc still wants to wait till the 23rd before delivering me. I'm still in bed rest and she pretty much told me I have to live with the headaches and nausea till Monday. She said my test came back ok so I just have to live like this. Bad news is my computer got a virus and crashed and it's going to be a week before I can get it fixed. So right now I'm at Starbucks using my iTouch to check emails and get on the net. Ughhhh
I'll do my best to keep everyone updated!!
Take care everyone!!

Kellie - I'm glad to hear you are ok. Please be careful and don't hesitate to get a 2nd opinion. It is great to be a Mom but more exhausting than I thought it would be. My hubby is being great. He's helping me as much as possible. He's still really nervous about taking care of the babies alone but he will get the hang of it. He never even held a baby until our twins were born. I've been trying to nurse the twins and wow it's been a challenge. I wasn't able to nurse them right away because they were in NICU, so I've had to pump. Since I've been home, I've been trying to nurse them but they won't latch on yet. They are trying but they get frustrated. The nurses told me that premies don't make good breastfeeders until they would have been term. So, I feel like a machine. They eat every 3 hours, so in between feedings I have to pump and get as much done around the house as I can.

Tara - Yes, Ren is home! We brought him home last Saturday. I'm hoping he gains weight soon. He is so tiny. He's still under 4lbs but he's taking his feedings slowly. He spits up a lot and falls asleep while taking a bottle. I take him to the pediatrician tomorrow so hoping there's a solution to all the spit up.

I hope everyone is doing good. How are you feeling Cynthia? I hope you can keep those babies in longer than I did. I'm really glad I have them but wished they didn't have to be in NICU.

Kelly, I know 11/23 can't come soon enough for you!! Hang in there!

Aims, so glad to hear Ren is home! I think I left you a comment on FB. Nursing these twins is what I'm most nervous about!!! My twin nursing pillow is suppose to arrive on Friday. I'll probably look at it and just cry, LOL! I told DH I didn't know if I were up for it. I was expecting him to say "just formula feed then". Surprisingly he says "you can do it...I"ll help you". So I feel better knowing he'll be supportive and not give up as quickly as I probably would by myself. Did your belly start to get really itchy? Mine gets CRAZY itchy, almost to the point that it's painful. I try to moisturize as much as possible but the relief doesn't last long.

AFM, I had a BPP yesterday and the doc said the girls cord flow has elevated a little more, which means she's probably getting fewer nutrients. She (one of my high risk docs) is sending a recommendation to my Ob to move up my up my c-section by a week. That means I could deliver next week!! I'll be 37 weeks next week. I'll find out for sure tomorrow. (Aims, remind me again of how far along you were when you delivered...) I get new growth measurements next Tuesday. I'm hoping the baby girl is at least close to 5 lbs. The boy should be over 6 by then. Well I meet with a pediatritian today and one tomorrow so at least I'll have that out of the way.

Cynthia - Nursing the twins will be a challenge especially if they don't latch. I've been trying to pump for them but I'm so exhausted. I can't seem to get on a schedule. The twins have to eat every 3 hours and I have to pump every 2-3 hours. So, as you can imagine, that consumes most of my day. I've had to supplement with formula on Piper. Since I haven't got my pumping schedule down, I'm not making as much milk as I should be. I've been giving most of it to Ren since he needs the most help. If giving your twins breastmilk is important to you, then do it. You will find a way. I want all the feedings to be breastmilk so I'm just trying to work harder at it. I'm not surprised they are moving your c-section up. I think it's great if you make it to 37 weeks. I was 35 weeks when I had the twins. I went into labor and they weren't going to stop it especially with Ren's weight falling farther behind. When you have the c-section, make sure you move around when they want you to. It really hurts to move but it does help the recovery go a little faster. Also if you have the worst headache you've ever had after c-section, it is probably from the spinal block. Make your hospital bed so you are flat on your back. It was the only thing that gave me some relief. Keep us posted on your c-section date.

Cynthia - I forgot to ask, did you get a steroid shot to help develop the twins lungs? I was given 2 steroid shots when I was about 30 weeks.

Amy, I would like to breastfeed, but I wouldn't be too torn up about it if I weren't able to. I'm going to give it a real try but if I find it too difficult I have no problem going with formula. We'll see how it goes!

No, I didn't get any steroid shots. Back when they were giving me the ffn tests every 2 weeks, they always said if the test came back positive they'd give me the shots. They never did and they haven't said anything about the shots since.
