Morning!

So...when is everyone finding out if they are having a boy or girl?

My next sono is Dec. 8th, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will find out then.

cheryl- I hope to find out on Monday. I have another u/s with the specialist, so hopefully the babies will cooperate and we'll be able to see what they are. I can't wait any longer! I have a feeling that i'm having at least one boy, but really I have no idea.

deftones- I know the feeling, i've been sick all morning!

Fitz- yes, I feel pressure and it scares the heck out of me! I also get the kinds of pains that deftones was talking about, but the pressure is definitely there.

Faith- I ordered the doppler on the internet yesterday and I can't wait to get it! Even though I go in every week for an u/s, I still need that reassurance in between. Is it hard to use?

AFM, I'm jealous of those of you who have been feeling good or started feeling better over the last couple of weeks!

fitz- you have really been through it! i am so sorry for the loss of the twins. you seem to be staying really strong through all of this.

i'm glad to see everyone is doing well and hanging in there. faith9455, you are so funny! of course the big belly isn't in you mind. don't feel bad, i had a doctor guess my due date and she said i was due in 2 to 3 months! my friend took a pic of my belly and showed it to all the women at her job.

it's funny that we're talking about delivering multiples vaginally or c-section. i met a woman today that delivered her twins vaginally. she said the 1st one was the hardest b/c it took so long with labor, but the second one came right out.

how is everyone finding out the sex so soon? my doc said i won't know until weeks 18-20...

i forgot one question. jg and faith- do you notice that when you sleep on your side, the babies bunch together on that side and bulge in your uterus? i can touch the babies when i wake up. it's so weird.

Mjay--I had my NT at 11 weeks . . . if the baby had been co-operating, the doc could have told at that stage . . . however, most of us will have to wait 18-20 weeks for the anatomical survey . . . for me, that falls between christmas and new years! I hope the office is open =)

Is anyone else showing a lot? I have a singleton and I seemed to pop out right away! I wonder if it's due to all the shots I had to take . . .

I am just starting to show. I put on 10 pounds as soon I started taking the progest. shots...and the weight has just re-distributed over time. Did you guys put on a lot of weight with the shots?
Hope everyone is doing well!!!!

mjay- They should be able to tell around week 14 and forward what the sex(es) are, but sometimes equipment might not be sophisticated enough or whatever. If you are going to an ultrasound before weeks 18-20, I would ask them if they can take a little peek! I haven't felt the babies in the morning, but I will certainly be checking that out first thing tomorrow and i'll get back to you! Question- is the number one question that people ask you is "Do twins run in your family?". It's starting to annoy me!

monkeys- I didn't put on any weight, but I think the m/s outweighed the progesterone. I wasn't on shots though, just crinone gel.

deftones- Yes, i'm showing too and people are noticing. It's exciting in a way, because I feel pregnant, but it's scary too because I still have a long way to go. I'm going to be huge!

as you all know, i had horrible OHSS so i was already bigger than i am now. people have noticed that my stomach has actually gotten smaller. i am measuring at 6 weeks right now. i'm wearing my first maternity shirt today!

i wonder why my doc is making me wait until 18-20 weeks. everytime i go i get an ultrasound. i did notice that the machine they have in the regular rooms are not nearly as good as the ones in the ultrasound clinic next door. maybe that's why.

jg- YES, people ask me that ALL the time. since people don't really understand genetics, they except the fact that DH has twin cousins. but, my mom and i just realized that i also have twin cousins so now that's what i'm telling people.

mjay- My mom has twin cousins, so that's what i've been telling people too. The funny thing is that my mom is from a huge huge Irish Catholic family, so there was bound to be twins in there at some point! I'm not ashamed of having IVF, but I don't really think it's anyone's business either, especially people I don't know! I was reading an article in the NY Times a month or two back that someone had posted on the IVF side and it was about decreasing the number of embryos implanted, etc. Anyway, when I got to the bottom and was reading the comments, my heart broke! The things that people were saying were so heartless and cruel and I was really surprised about the people who are just ignorant that say horrible things. I decided to keep my mouth shut after that because you just never know who you're talking to and i'm way overly hormonal right now anyway, so i'd probably start crying or yelling if someone said something mean to me :-) I was checking this morning to see if the babies were bunched, but I think I toss and turn too much for them to gather on one side. As far as 18-20 weeks, I think most doctors don't want to give the wrong information, so they wait until that point. When I asked the specialist to check, he said he would be told me not to go out buying stuff for the nursery or telling grandma! I think they just want to be sure.

Fitz- Any news on the single guy yet? I hope you guys are doing okay!

Anyone else still sick? Gosh, I thought the m/s would have subsided by now, but then again, my mom told me that when she was pregnant, she was throwing up while giving birth!

Hi Everyone. TGIF!! Not much to report here..headaches are still full force but relieved by medication or laying down. We are doing a 3D scan tomorrow and they "may" be able to tell the sexes! I'm super excited..hubby is skeptical. We have our anatomy scan scheduled for the 8th so should be able to know at that one if tomorrow's is a bust. Sooooo we'll see! Fingers crossed for 2 girls and a boy :)

Have a good weekend!

Faith
