My DD elbowed me in the abdomin last night. I am freaking out. I have a schedueled u/s tomorrow anyway. Hope all is OK. I did a web search and the sights say the baby is well protected and it is a myth getting hit will cause m/c. Let's hope that is true. She hit off to the side also, so that reasures me somewhat.

Shelby - my next u/s is in 11/24. Btw...my first name is Becky and my due date is 07/08/10. My first pregnancy with my twin boys I was due in 07/01 but they were born on 04/24. 10.5 weeks early. They are both healthy now but they has a rough start. I had severe preeclampsia with them so I hope that won't happen this time.

Lisa - you must have been hit pretty hard. I am sure that everything is okay.

Hey Ladies-

I hope everyone is well. I am now 8 weeks and five days. I'm finished with my IVF clinic on to my regular doctor. My u/s was yesterday and I was measuring a few days ahead. I am still so sick all day, vomiting all day. I am going to try that seaband to see if that will help me. I'm just praying for healing at this point so that I can be productive. :) I read a few of the post and I'm glad that everyone is doing well. Has anyone tried the seaband for sickness and is it working for anyone?

Tonya I did the seabands. They are OK. They do seem to help some, but they hurt after a while. You have to put them on in the exact position too. I have found pepermint candy works good. I suck on them all day!! I am lucky to not to be vomiting, but I feel ready too. It comes in spurts. I found ginger, like in ginger ale and I have heard candied ginger (but I have no idea where to find that) help too and anything pepermint like candy or tea. Good luck. It usually only last the first trimester so hang in there.

Sorry, I've been MIA...I've been really busy!

shelbyrn0124 - My OBGYN said it really depends on the person as to how much weight she should gain...I'm a little overweight, so I have plenty of "stores" to provide the baby...therefore, they don't want me gaining too much. My doc definitely doesn't want me gaining "double" since I'm having twins...I suggested approximately 15 - 20 pounds and she thought that may not be enough because of the baby weight, placenta weight, fluid weight, etc...I know the "What to Expect When You're Expecting" book has some suggestions...

Melanie - My OBGYN is going to see me every 2 to 3 weeks due to the fact I'm having twins (typically it's every 4 weeks for a singleton at my OBGYN's office). I was really surprised to read that they're making you wait until you are 16 weeks along...especially with twins! I think I'd call and get another opinion!

bjones - CONGRATS!!! OMG you must have been going through a nightmare...I'm glad your docs were able to ease your mind!

AFM (since I know what that means now! :D)...

I had an ultrasound last week (Thursday) and I was measuring perfectly...8 weeks. We heard and saw two heartbeats. HOWEVER, I'm going through my typicall panic again...you know, the one where I'm so not in control of things, and yet they don't change and make me feel any better! :x

My issue is that I'm not having any morning sickness again...as of yesterday. I was having the soar/tingly boobs and touble eating large portions with a little nausea (no vomitting), but now NOTHING. I was able to eat a big lunch today...which scares the stuffing out of me. Has anyone else had m/s come and go so abruptly?

Thanks!
Misty

Misty-It is totally normal to have m/s come and go. Mine is usually every other day. No worries, just keep eating healthy. Im ocassionally really hungry too and eat a big meal without feeling nauseas.

AFM-I was suppose to go back next week for my 2nd u/s but since my RE charges $273 and my OB charges $150, Im going to wait until my OB appt on 12/4. It is a little bit longer than I would like to wait, but I am out of moola! I threw up for my first time yesterday. I was so excited! Everyone thought I was crazy. I got my H1N1 vaccine today. They were giving them out for free at my school. I heavily weighed each side and decided I rather not lose my baby or die....and there is a very good chance I could get it.

Look like there are quite a few July Mommies on here...Thanks June Mommies for having us!! We could also move over to July if anyone wants to.

kala0704 - Tthanks for the kind words. I hope there is nothing wrong, and I'm just making a mountain out of a mole hill! I, too, got my H1N1 vaccine last Thursday...just a little warning: I've felt like crap ever since. I feel like I have a constant cold. It started the very next day, and although I'm not running fever, my eyes hurt/itch, I cannot stop sneezing, and the drainage is now making my throat soar. :( I'm not 100% sure it's from the shot, but I know you can feel a little under the weather after a flu shot so I'm chalking it up to that. It actually feels a lot like a bad case of allergies, although my allergies don't typically last this long. Hopefully you will skate on through without any side effects!

Yay!!! Tomorrow is "hump" day! :D

TONYA - for me lemon drops work best. I also heard ginger should be good but I don't like eating it and there is no ginger in the soda "ginger ale" so that doesn't help:-)

MHARELL - I had my m/s come and go this week as well and I was thinking it is a bad sign but I had an U/S this morning and the baby is perfectly fine. So I wouldn't worry about that.

AFM - just an overall comment since we had some posts about brown spotting and discharge. I had that for a week now and as long as it is not bright red RE said it is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. it can come from the hormonal changes and is mostly old unnecessary blood.

I had my 6th u/s today and the baby is a couple of inches now. It measures the right size for 10 -1/2 weeks. The baby even moved around this time and I could see each little finger 8) It was soooo awesome.
Also I am now off my meds - DH is in Paris for 2 weeks and so they checked my blood level and decided I can stop - jipeaaahhh. They explained it as follows. The ovaries are suppressed at the beginning and so they don't work like they would naturally. Until week 10-11 the ovaries produce the progesterone - since they don't we get the shots. At week 10-11 the placenta is taking over the progesterone production so that's when the meds can be stopped.

Wish everyone a happy day today

Going in a hour for my u/s and RE release. I am so nervous since my DD elbowed me. When will I ever relax about this? I'll let you all know tonight how it went.

By the way, my m/s comes and goes too. That also worries me. But then I think, might as well enjoy it while it lasts.

Lisa- Hope all goes well today=)
MHarrell-I too have had symptoms come and go. I actually haven't had many symptoms at all but occasionally I get nausea and my bb's don't hurt at all. The only constant I have had is the fatigue.
Shelby-I don't know how you keep up with all the updates. I can barely keep my eyes open to read lately. I don't know how you are doing that with twins!
Kiwi- Yeah for the meds being done. I found out yesterday that I have 2 weeks and then I will be done. So excited!
tonyacheek-hoping the lemon drops or ginger will work for you. Poor thing.
Kala-i am headed to get my swine flu shot tonight. Not thrilled about taking it but it seems to be so strongly recommended by all.
Bjones-Has twins times two sunk in yet...congrats.

Sorry If I missed anyone. I have been exhausted lately as are many of you I am sure. I had my second US yesterday and was able to see my beautiful babe moving a ton! It was so fun to watch. The little legs were even visible. I am measuring a few days ahead (like last time) and the heartbeat was 171. Yeah. One more appt. in 2 weeks with my fertility doc and then I go to the Ob doc. I think all these ultrsounds are spoiling me and I will be very sad to leave as well. Good news...2 more weeks of shots....Yahooo!!!

I have been released!!! It was a sad, but a happy day to say goodbye to my RE and the staff. Everyone came up and hugged me. The nurse I have worked most with even cried. After 2 and a half years I am finally moving on. I told the receptionist that it was great knowing her, but I never want to see her again. I get to go down to POI shots every other night starting next week. I do that for a week and then I am done! My bum will be so happy!!!! My u/s went very well. I found out where the baby is in my belly and my DD hit way above it so that was good. Plus the baby is protected well. The heartbeat went up to 164 and you could see arms and the brain. It is so crazy and amazing to see that the little speck has a heart beating in it. God really is good.

By the way, my RE said 50% of women get morning sickness, 50% get sore (.)(.)'s and 100% get tired. So everyone not feeling symptoms, don't worry. Enjoy it.

Lisa- Congrats on graduating from the RE!.

I graduated today as well! Was really nervous for this appointment because last week "baby B" was measuring small and the RE said to be "cautiously optimistic". Today "Baby B" is right on target and "Baby A" is one day ahead. Both had heartbeats in the 170's. I even got to hear "A's' heartbeat but not "B's" because it's hidden behind "A". Music to my ears!

My clinic is great and I would highly reccomend them to anyone in the area. When we were leaving all the staff met us in the hall and clapped and congratulated us and even sent us home with a gift bag of baby items.

I hope everyone is doing well and all the babies are growing, growing, growing!
