Ghost- anyone??

I am 10p3dt. I took a HPT this morning that was positive immediately. I started spotting this afternoon. Isn't it too late for implantation bleeding? It's not a full blown period, but very concerned right now. Is this normal??

For starters Congratulations!!! For me, I spotted about 13dp5dt and again 16dp5dt. I called my RE each time as I suggest you do as well. My RE told me that it is ok to spot as long as it is just when you wipe versus if I had to wear a pad they would be concerned. Some people will say if it is brown or pink then it's fine but I also spotted red and it turned out fine also. How many did you transfer? My RE told me, after discovering it was twins, that spotting is more common with twins so not to be too concerned if it happened again. Hope this helps!

DillysGirl: I just saw that you are pregnant after an FET! I am doing one in December, and was wondering how many embryos you put back. I only have 1 frozen, so my fingers are crossed that he/she's a little toughie!

I spotted on and off this IVF cycle and I am 5 weeks pregnant now. I think the spotting started 10 dper and seemed to occur every other day or so. At first, it was pinkish with brown. Now I still have an occasional spot and it's brown. Sometimes it is enough to show up on a pantiliner, but nothing too serious.

It still freaks me out even though I have been told it's normal. So I totally know how you feel.

BRmommy2B: I put two back in for the FET and both of them stuck! My theory on FET's is that the embryo's are more likely to stick because your body is under less stress that with an fresh cycle. I was soo sore and uncomfortable after the fresh cycle (i ended up retrieving 33 eggs!) that I was not too surprised neither embie wanted to hang around in that environment! Good luck on your FET, it only takes one!! If you peek around on the 'pregnant after treatment' boards there are lots of people pregnant from FET if you want to get/keep your PMA up!

Hi everyone,
Thank you all so much for taking the time to respond to my question. I transferred 3 very good 3 day embies so I guess twins is a real possibility.

It would make sense too since I didn't have implantation bleeding with my DD but I could have it with twins.

Teachermom - did you have any symptoms? I have been quite dizzy and slight headache today 3dp3dt. Also, anything strange? Was this your first HPT? Or, did you do any earlier? I know better, but am getting the itch. I have never been this bad!

I'm not sure there is any such thing as implantation bleeding. Your embryos are fully implanted by now.

Congratulations.

Spotting is very common. Be sure to tell your clinic. I've read that estradiol helps to reduce the bleeding.

albany- I have been feeling nauseous on and off the past few days. I had terrible morning sickness all day with my DD. Also, I felt pinching which has subsided now. The spotting has stopped for now. I was just worried because that didn't happen last time. That was my 1st HPT. I held out as long as I could. I think you have to make sure the trigger shot you did is out of your system before you do a test. I think it's 10 days after you take the shot. Try to hold out a little longer

Ghost- thank you so much for your help. I did contact my RE and he said we have to wait for 2nd beta on Wednesday before we will know anything. They do 2 betas but do not call with results of the 1st. Also, I am taking estrodial twice a day. Do you think the dosage may not be high enough?

If you are concerned about the spotting, see if your doctor might increase the dose.
