Ghost/anyone - after 1st beta no symptoms?

Hi I just had my first beta Wed of 150 and on Friday of 250 which didnt double ---and then I woke up this morning with no more sore bbs !!!! they were killing me for the whole 2ww and even yesterday, now their gone... now what??? is this a bad sign...???? I'm so nervous - should I call or just wait for my third beta which isn't til Tuesday ?? UGH these two tests were done by different labs and different doctors... I just called my RE and waiting for a callback.... Geez I hate waiting.... and I can't think of anything else to Google besides that HCG are suppose to double.. UGH

A huge congratulations on a great beta !! I think a lot of the sore boobs come from the PIO or suppositories and some days you may feel it more than other days. A lot of RE's say that at this time you probably won't feel anything and it's completely normal because it's so early.

thanks amy for the response.. maybe I'll try to relax alittle... like we always say PUPO !! right? haha... I guess I can't stress over something that really hasn't happened yet. Man I hate waiting though.. I wish I could go for BW and US's whenever I wanted - haha

Very common following a fresh IVF cycle. The follicles made a lot more progesterone than is natural (and a lot more than you are taking), and this typically slows during the 2ww. It may increase again as the hCG from your pregnancy hits the follicles, but just to be safe, IVF clinics almost always prescribe progesterone so they don't rely on follicular production.

As always, tell your clinic everything.

I am still taking Progestrone though.. I have been the whole time I take one supp in the morning and one at night along with 2 tablets of estrace at night....
I have myself sick now over this.. no more symptoms and my HCG didnt double..

Holly, I would not worry about your beta not doubling. If you look at my numbers below, the only time they doubled was from 1st beta to 2nd beta (and look how low my numbers were there!!!). Look all the way across the numbers, and you'll see at one point the growth went way down (from 3rd to 4th, with four days in between, should have doubled TWICE), but it turned out all was well! Hang in there and keep us posted!

For some reason I completely missed the part where you wrote about your beta not doubling... My RE said that they look for atleast a 60% increase ..

Holly,
I am on PIO injections for IVF and I am almost 6 weeks pregnant. I haven't really had sore boobs at all. And other "symptoms" have come and gone hourly, daily, etc. I know it's easier said than done, but please try not to analyze every symptom or even beta levels. It will just drive you crazy!

That's not the point.

Days after the trigger, a fresh cycle patient might have a progesterone level over 100 because of all the follicular production. A week later, it might be down to 20, and even that is only because she is taking PIO. The side effects at 20 may be less than those at 100+.

Either figure is more than adequate.

ghost I just talked to my RE nurse and she said getting HCG from different labs is a huge no no.. just like you said... !!! that makes me feel better and she said my sore bbs will come and go just like you said... and she said when I went for my 1st beta at my Gyn my 2ww wasnt even done yet and they probably did it differently .. plus it was too early.. and she said they want to see the first beta between 50-100 and mine is 225 !! soooo that's a great sign..... I see them again on Tuesday so I guess everything is ok.. thank god. When I asked for my progestrone level she said she didnt receive it yet?? hmmm weird.. but I'll call again maybe tomorrow for it...and I read online that it should be around 50 i think.

HollyB- you ned to calm down

your getting some anxiety which they say is normal especially after doing infertility treatments. You will drive yourself crazy though. I'm pregnant also after IVF and I have a DD from clomid, I don't remember all these levels or being concerned because I don't think it is an issue I guess. My thought is I'm pregnant right now and it is out of my control what happens after this. So, try to sit back and enjoy it
