I just called the lab to see if my progestone results came back and she said 268 !!! why the heck would it be that high????

Follicular production.

Your hCG is rising. hCG is the embryos signal to the corpus luteum to keep making progesterone to prevent menses. You have many corpora lutea making progesterone, since you just went through ovarian stimulation and had many follicles.

Anyway, the progesterone typically reaches a peak a few days after the trigger, then fades until after the pregnancy kicks in, then rises again.

268 is higher than most. I recall seeing one over 450 before. The really high ones usually are in high responders who had a lot of follicles.
