bad news. anyone have a similar situation ever?

had U/S #2 today
heartbeat is 89 bpm and i am 6 weeks 6 days, dr says not a good HR, is low

dr also says embryo size is about a week behind.
she said it is very possible i will lose this pregnancy.

has anyone experienced anything similar?
i'm very sad today

Miracles do happen, ivf dr. is not _od. Keep a positive outlook, talk to your baby, say a prayer with your baby and let go!

What happened at u/s number 1? Was there a hb then and was it a higher hb? I can not tell you much about the low heartrate, but I can tell you that my little Ella measured about a week behind the whole pregnancy. I think at my 6 wk u/s, we couldn't even see the hb.

So measuring small I don;t think matters too much, since I had success, but the heartbeat when we finally did see it was much higher, I think in the 150-170 range. I wish I knew more about that for you.

I will say a prayer for you though.

thank you both, i will take all the prayer and positive vibes i can get to go along with my prayers.

CT- at US #1 they saw a sac but dr saw no fetal pole then, only sac. so today was first heartbeat sighting. your situation gives me hope. i am hoping for the best but preparing for the worst i guess.

yeah the HRT should be in the 140's-150. But who knows what happened today. I would go in again and get checked by your OB! I go tomorrow!!
