Yippee Miracle!!! Congrats on your positive and your strong beta! i am not sure when you tested but at 9dp5dt my beta was 267 and I ended up with twins. But who knows - I've seen incredibly low betas that resulted in twins and high betas that resulted in singletons! The important thing is that you are going to have a little one in your life in 8 months! Enjoy being pregnant!

Congrats Miracle!!! Get beta after an emotional cycle, glad to hear it!
I hope everyone else is doing well.
I just got back from my radiology appointment and we are having two girls! We had both kind of wanted one of each, my husband especially since he is the last male on his side of the family, but we are happy they are measuring right on target and appear to be doing very well.
hey girls,
just popped in to read a bit and saw Miracle's great news! Congratulations on your BFP!! Wishing you a smooth and uneventful pregnancy!!! So happy for you!
Hopeful - how nice, two girls!!
Sabi - nice to hear from you -- and with possible identical twins! Wow! Hope you are doing well. Have great fun setting up the nursery.
Clemo - hang in there on the pill -- your cycle will get going very soon! Wishing you and your cousin all the best!
Poohgirl and Carolyn - hope all is going well!
Pauline - have you already made plans for your next cycle? Good luck to you!!
To everyone, thinking of you! Sorry that I don't get much time to write, but I am rooting for all of you from the sidelines! Anna is 6 weeks old today and is our little sunshine amidst a very grey November. It is wonderful to watch her grow and develop and her little smiles just melt your heart.
Summer - so lovely to hear from you - sounds like you have taken to motherhood well and that Anna is being a good baby - hope my two follow suit!!
Hopeful - great news on the girls - I think twin girls is more unusual as most on the boards seem to be boys or boy/girl - I keep winding DH up saying we are having 2 girls and imagine the hormones!!!
Clemo - hope all going well for you and cousin - when does she start to stim ?
Kelly - always cheering us on ! - good to hear from you and glad the little ones are doing well - is the hired help working out ?
So my beta is in.....1137! I am happy with the number. I have a prenatal appt on Dec.2nd and then hopefully I can schedule my u/s. I am hoping that week as well. Its killing me not to know how many are in there!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Yummm!
Miracle - great beta! Hope your appointment goes well and they schedule you for a u/s. It is such a waiting game, isn't it?
I hope all of you here in the States had a good Thanksgiving weekend. Well, I had my first visit to the hospital last night. I had cramps that did not feel right, so I called the nurse connection and they sent me in. Turned out I was having mild contractions. They gave me a shot to calm them down and wow what a difference! I've had this full feeling off an on for several weeks and I chalked it up to gas ... now I'm thinking it may be contractions! I just turned 20 weeks, so we'll see what the doctor has to say today.
The thought of bedrest for 3-4 months doesn't sound great, but I'm all for being cautious right now, so it will be an interesting conversation with my doctor. I already had an appointment to see the nurse practitioner today, but I put a phone call in to let them know I need to see the doctor. The good news is both babies were doing well and moving all around
This is such a positive (pardon the pun) thread! I too had several tries and eventually had to try donor eggs and I will tell you - there is absolutely no emotional difference what so ever once you feel those little people inside you:-) Mine are now two; boy and girl twins and they are the joy of my life! I started ttc in 1977 and had the twins in November 2007... Keep positive and be strong and all will happen at some point - when nature decides it is time
Hi Everyone!! I just read through the last few pages of this thread and am amazed at all of the BFP!!! DH and I are starting to consider DE but I am still so hurt and angry at the world for not being able to have my own biological child. I know that whatever our "Plan B" is I have to go into with an open heart. How do you let go of the hurt?
TTC 2 years me: 35 poor ovarian reserve dh: 35 low count
IVF#1: March 2009 canceled poor response
IVF#2: May 2009, BFN
IVF#3: July 2009, BFN
IVF#4: Sept 2009 canceled poor response
IVF#5: Nov 2009, BFN
Welcome IVFinNJ! I can't tell you how to let go of the hurt. I was upset that I couldn't get pregnant but the biological part wasn't a big deal for me. So, when I was finally given an option that might work I was thrilled. I went through IVF with donor eggs and now have my gorgeous 14 month old twins.
What I wanted to tell you is that I cannot imagine that a biological child could have felt any different from my little ones. I was over the moon throughout my pregnancy and the moment I layed my eyes on them, they were 110% mine.
Take your time to heal and then once you are in the frame of mind to proceed, you will get super excited and the pain will be a thing of the past. As you can see from this thread, the success rate is high!!
Hope everyone else is doing really well!!
Kelly
