Hello Girls! Hope everyone is holding up well. Olim, I am in the same boat as you right now as I am taking inventory of every and anything that may be a symptom every second of every minutue of every hour of every day!!! This is exhausting and mentally taxing. I know I want to enjoy every minute of this pregnancy, and I truly want to believe and trust that everything will be ok... I still want to poas everyday. DH has strictly forbidden this practice. Can we fast forward to 1st USG????? I need a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On another note, 30 is the new 20... haven't you heard? We are 6 hours behind here in Chicago.

HollyB - How are you holding up?

Me2009 - How many? I can't wait! Are you in Canada? Btw, I bought a pair of Joe's and Juicy Couture Maternity jeans. I can't wait until they come in the mail! I can barely fit into any of my jeans anymore. I have only gained 3 lbs, but my waist is significantly bigger! I went to a formal party last night and everyone was telling me how great I look (small round bump attended as well), and everyone at our table asked us if we are pregnant! How do people know?????? So weird that something is already noticable. I mean, I know it is no bigger than a grain of rice (4th week) or the size of your big toe (the total mass of cells by the 5th week). My nurse did mention there's a lot of remodeling going on down there in preparation for the next 8 months.

Rikirees - How many did you transfer? Are you ok with having multiples or do you think you are having one? Is the other object the Dr. saw on scan dangerous to the pregnancy? I hope everything is ok.

Anything cool to report? Any new findings from reading books, internet or talking to friends, family, etc..???

albany- I only transferred 1 embryo. I am NOT ok with multiples. I won't be able to carry them and if it multiples, I will most likely have to terminate the pregnancy. With my last BFP in May of 07, I transferred 3 blasts, all 3 implanted and 1 split. To make a VERY long story short, I was pregnant with quads and 3 died in utero. My DD was born 14 early by emergency C section with a vertical scar. My uterus will not hold more than 1 baby to full term because of the scar. That is why I only transferred 1 embie. RE said there was 1 sac that was very visible and another little thing that showed at some angles and not on others. It wasn't that same size at the very visible sac. I am PRAYING it is only 1 and trying not to freak out...pushing Ghosts comment out of my mind. It isn't working though. I guess I will know more at the next U/S on Friday...damn Friday can't come sooner enough!

Is anyone feeling any symptoms yet? I am just having mild cramping, mostly due to the progesterone and super sore boobs. They seem to be more sore every day!

Oh gosh, what a story. I am praying for the best and keep your PMA. Yeah, I can see how Friday is a long, long and far time away. My RE had me go in for beta 1 and beta 2. When they called me with beta 2, they said I can schedule the 1st ultrasound with my ob or go back to do it with my RE!!! Were they trying to get rid of me or something? Everyone on these boards seems to get more attention and personal care, I kinda feel neglected and left out. So I made the 1st scan appt with my RE (he wasn't getting out of this so easy) on his first available appt, which was Friday Dec. 18th. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!! A feel like crawling out of my skin. Is this too early? How far along were you when you had your 1st scan?

The only symptoms I have is occasional pulling in my lower abdomen, a twinge here and there around my ovaries, breast acheeyness (especially up and down stairs) and a very dull headache everyother day and i never get headaches. I had gastric reflux up until about 2 or 3 days ago.

I just had my first scan Friday...so 4 weeks 4 days. As long as the Beta is over 1000 they can see something on the scan. This was the same time frame as my first pregnancy but I can tell the RE is being very cautious by seeing me every week right now. I am hoping once they can confirm it is just 1, they switch to every 2 weeks, which is the norm at the RE. If all goes well, I get released around week 9 or 10. Then the battle at the OB. My OB knows how emotional IVF can be so she knows IVF's momma's like ot be seen more than just once a month for peace of mind

Oh and once you get farther along you can rent the fetal doppler for $20 a month (I think around 15 weeks). Then you can hear the hb anytime you want to

HI everyone !! I'm at work so can't stay on too long... I love seeing everyone posting -our own little IVF family

I'm patiently waiting for my U/S on the 14th.. and am feeling nothing but sore bb's and a cramping pully belly... which is weird cuz i'm not taking progesterone anymore. oh well . hopefully it's an early pregnancy sign.. I'll try to chat alittle more later...

Hey Holly! Welcome. I can't tell in your signature what attempt this was for you but congrats anyways! I have no symptoms either except the boobs and wow are they sore:) Nothing else. Worries me a little but I try to keep telling myself my little one is fine.

I called my clinic today to ask the name of the vessel thing ghost is bugging me about:) It is called a venous lake. Seems harmless as long as it IS that and not another sac. The nurse said to try to relax. I also found out, by asking since my RE never told me, that I need to have my thyroid checked with labs every 3 weeks with my regular GP (seems strange the clinic can't send out my labs when they draw my blood). I have a thyroid issue and am on meds for it. I am SO glad I asked. Now more appointments to juggle Ack!

Hi riki- I'm on throid med too.. My primary actually says he needs to adjust my meds too. it's elevated alittle only to 7 though which really isn't high. When is your U/S scheduled? Mine is scheduled for the 14th. I can't wait . Can you list your BEta levels so I can compare? thanks. I had one set of #'s that only increased by 70% and now my nurse is saying to go into my U/S with 'cautionly optimistic" - nice huh?! I was so upset but my other #'s more than doubled so everyone here is telling me I'm fine.
Its so nice to chat with all you guys with our due date sooo close. Oh and I fixed my signature too so you could see...

bey - what does that mean???? I have read everywhere that they look for at least a 60-66% increase????? Have you talked to your RE? She should stop worrying you and should know better! Maybe she is miserable. Hang in there and I am positive that you will have a great scan!

Hey Albany Good to hear from you.. Do you beleive she said that to me.. .Remember I told you she called me Friday on the way home from work.. then I had to bring my son to his dance so I couldnt chat long. I've read everywhere to that if it increases by 60-66% your fine. Ghost even said I'm fine.. I think everytime I think of it I get so mad I have to vent

and my U/S seems so far away! god I hate waiting.

So what's new with you??????

Holly- that sounds like a bunch of bullcrap. I am anxiously awaiting your scan next Monday! Your betas looked great.
My beta's were: 10p5dt: 414, 12pd5dt: 847 and 14dp5dt: 1850. My next scan is Friday the 11th. Praying they rule out a 2nd sac.
Yesterday was a LONG day, I had to take my DD for an endoscopy (camera down the throat) to check to see if her reflux is causing any damage. Everything came back normal but very stressful exhausting day. I hope everything is ok in MY tummy:) I wish I had a camera to look in there whenever I wanted too:)
I am still worried that I have no symptoms. Actually got the urge to POAS again just to make sure I am still PG:) I didn't though....IS IT FRIDAY YET:?
Anyone on facebook? I would love to put a face to all my new friends

I feel like I am on a constant 2 week wait now!!!

Not sure about how to detect a singleton or multiple at home, but the genius lab scientists created a "gender identification pee stick" to be used as early as "6 weeks after the missed period"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am getting it next week!!! I am always up to something

Hope you are doing well, hang in there. High betas are not necessarily always indicative of multiples, but of healthy singleton pregnancies that make it to live birth! That is the bright side. There is a girl on one of the boards that had a 900+ beta on her 11dp3dt or 12 (can't remember which) that is pregnant with a singleton. Kick back and have a glass of sparkling juice this evening!

How is everybody doing?
Is it just me or is this week going by SOOOO slow....
I just found my a friend of mine who has a 2 year old son through IVF (5 attempts!) is 10 weeks pregnant. She was told she could never have kids naturally and whoops there it is...It would be so cool is everything works out and we have both of our kids the same age!

Riki - yes you are sooooo right, going by tooooooo slow. I want the 18th to be here!!! I want my 1st scan

!!!!!!! I am traveling with my husband for work so, that is helping a bit. We just got back from a Purdue basketball game, they are really good!

I think your friend's miracle is amazing. That will be so cool to have a friend having a baby at the same time. Unfortunately all my friends are already done. I am the last one, but you never know... surprises to happen!!!
