HCG levels !!

HI there,
I'm actually on the board for Aug 2010 babies but wanted to ask a general question to everyone here!

Has anyone ever had a set of HCG #'s only increase by 67% or so and then went on for a successful pregnancy?

my 1st beta was 225
4 days later my 2nd beta was 625
4 days later my 3rd beta was 2770 !! yay !!

But I did have 3 embies transferred - Ghost says I'm ok and that sometimes happens when more than one try to implant it may slow down the HCG alittle bit but then once fully implanted the HCG can rise normally.....

My nurse still wants me to have caution when I go for my U/S this Monday.
I'm still kinda depressed about it. She said since the first set didnt quite double there's risk. but my second set more than doubled - shouldnt that be enough.
I would really love to hear words of encouragement!!!

Hello-

My HSG didn't rise alot on my third blood test. The doctor's had me scared to death. My first beta was 482 or 782 , the second was like 2,000 something, and then the third beta was 3555 and they wanted it to be 4,000 so they said my beta was border line and had me come in for a sono to make sure they saw a sac and that I wasn't preg somewhere else. I went for the u/s at 5.5 weeks they saw the sac, but no fetal pole. They said it was still early come back a week later. Came back at 6.5 weeks and there the baby was and we saw a strong heart beat. I am now 12 weeks pregnat. So don't worry as along as it's increasing you should be ok. Good luck with everything.

thank you tonya.. I do feel better. I have pregnancy symptoms I should just relax til my U/S .. but it's soooo hard.. This whole IVF process just drives ya crazy sometimes.

So glad to hear your little bean is growing wonderfully...

My second beta did not double either and then my third shot up. Similar to yours. And of course my Doctor had me super scared! But now I am 11 weeks pregnant with twins and both babies are doing great. I think moral of the story is that rising beta numbers dont tell too much other than, you are pregnant! As scary as it is, I hope you are finding lots of joy in being pregnant. I have to admit I talk myself down from the 'worry ledge' almost daily still!

Look at my signature and you can see my 5 beta numbers, including the dates (so you can see the number of days in between). HAHAHAHA I was told I was miscarrying after beta #4 since it went from 214 to only 548 (or whatever it says down there) over a FOUR DAY period. As you can see, I am 23 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. God knew better than those numbers!
