Thank you Caroline, you really don't know how much I appreciate your reply. I have been in a panic since my m/c that I would run out of time and not be successful in my next attempts. I even thought of not trying again. According to my Dr. my ovaries have already returned to their regular business and my uterus is healing. The news is encouraging. All I have to do now is heal emotionally, and give it another try. perhaps in 3/10. Hearing your story gives me hope...... thank you so much for your support.

How's everyone doing? All is well considering here on our home front. Below I put together a 3 photo collage of DD on her birthday and wanted to share with ya'll. She wasn't much into the hat, the bib, nor the cake. No she was so upset with us just bawling over the whole affair. However, in the long run she did decide the buttercreame icing was scrumptuous Please excuse all messes in the background. I'm not so quick to pick up after our little tasmanian devile, aka DD. She's definitely a busy, curious, little girl and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Welcome Jules, I hope that you got encouragements here from all of us! I was 47 when I got our DS and you have got plenty time!
Catharine,
Your DD's birthday looks fun, a lot of activities going on there. I like her hat, even though she did not care. She seems to be very into the cake also. She looks like speaking already! BTW, you look scholarly and young !!! with your glasses!
I cannot believe we soon will cerebrate our DS's first year! He can stand up for a second now, but no sign of walking. He pushes his walking toys VERY QUICKLY, which often winds up falling... DD started her first step at 10.5 months, DS is taking his time. However, he has no problem to call me ma ma constantly, generally when he wants me to walk him. He claps and waves bye-bye whenever we request. Both my hubby and I believe that he is sweet with pleasant personality. Our DD is another story, she IS the boss of the house. She has some sweet side, such as adores her brother, shares everything she owns with him, and rushes us to take care him whenever he cries...DD is now at story telling age, she is a chat box at the moment.

We have been overwhelmed by parenting duties during the holiday season since we took them out of the daycare since Christmas eve and had them until Jan. 3, full time, 24h per day. Boy, let me tell you, this is a load of work for me and my DH. We are so happy to be back to normal to send them to daycare. I sounded horrible but that is the truth. However, at midday of Jan. 4, my DH sent me an email says that he missed our little ones, since he's gotten used to having them around all the time!
Anyway, we had been traveling to meet their cousins at Phoenix and them we all drove the Rocky point, Mexico. That was a mistake because that place is almost dead at this time of the year. All we did was to purchase some fresh seafood and cooked in our luxurous resort condos and drank. Some of us did eat, but most of us did not, because our DS had stomach flu just prior to this trip and he got more than half of his cousins and Aunts sick during this time. What a holiday!
On the top of everything, our DD almost cried EVERYDAY, for at least once! We did not know why and we thought that is rooted from her not being our only attention. We are working on her issues right now. I read online and it said sibling jealousy can have many forms, one being loving and caring for the little one. She seems to be normally caring and loving her brother, not excessively. If any of you have any insight, don't hesitate to tell...She is awfully attached to her daddy to the point to tell me to go away sometimes in the mornings if I am the one to get her out of the bed. However, we did not hear any negative things from her teachers, that is a concern. Do little one behave VERY differently between home and school?
Oh, well, I don't want to complain too much about her sounding like I don't love her, I do, love her too pieces, but she is a piece of work.
take care, and do tell your stories when you have time.
Yasmina.

Long time no "see", how is everyone here parenting?
We just had a birthday party for DD's 3 year this past Saturday. We never had big party before but for a 3 year old, you cannot get round without any forms of cerebration at age 3 and beyond, my friends told me. Since our DS's birthday was 20 days ahead of DD's, she had been bugging us everyday since then. Anyway, we invited her entire class of 16 kids, 11 of them showed up, few of them showed up with their siblings, we wound up having 17 little kids in the house. It was packed! and we cerebrated with a Magician. He came to have a 30-min magic show, which is quite age appropriate. He intentionally involved as many kids as possible to his magic show. He then made each of the little ones colorful balloon animals to bring home with. The kids had a blast!!! We also supplied a lot of food, beer and wines (sorry, we know we are not supposed to have those at 11 am). We guess the parents also had fun too. The only regret that I had was the time was too short, many kids were not ready to leave at the end. This morning, when I walked in her room, several kids came up to me to say happy birthday to her, that was great.
Tammy, Happy birthday to Andrew and kiss him for me!

Thanks! Andrew turned 3 on 2/28. He is such a joy. Today, out of the blue, he said, "Andrew wants a baby."
I questioned him and he said, "Mom, Andrew wants a baby so much." Upon on further discussion he said he wanted
a baby girl.
Yasmina: Wow, what a big birthday celebration you had for Eloise! Andrew invited his friend, Katie to his birthday, but
the rest were family.
Hello to everyone else.

Happy mother's day! DH is taking me out tomorrow night alone for the first time ever since i became a mother, wish me luck on not missing my children on our date.
on another note, it finally happened, dd was officially free of diaper at night at 3 yrs n 1 month. she had been dry for a while but i was still in disbelieve and asked her to put pull-ups on, then we changed to cloth diapers. another few weeks passed, she had little wet once because we did not hear her calling us in the morning - it was a Sat, for our defense.
what i don't understand is why this is not a graduate process? instead, it's like a switch that she suddenly turned it off. I did not do anything as she was wearing the same size of diaper as her little bro anyways. dh said that he had asked her to call him in the middle of the night if she needed to go - b/c she turned 3, she was a big girl now who should not wear diapers. he said she called him only few nights and then she quitted n that was it!
ds is very clean n regular person. he speaks a lot now at 15 months. he is very expressive and he tells us when he wet himself. like his sister, he cleans after himself often, the funny thing is that he would spill his milk, drinks or pee intentionally on the floor n then goes to get towel to clean it. we did not do any diaper training on him since he stands up as soon as he sits on his potty, but we put him on the toilet every morning. since he clearly knows what he is doing, we think he can be diaper trained after the summer.
boy, it took me 2 h to post this, better log out now. utill next time!

Yasmina-you are so thoughtful. Here I am 2 weeks late. But I do wish all the mother's on this board all the best. I trust each and everyone had a wonderful mother's day.
Yasmina-what a great story about your kids. We have introduced the potty to DD and she is funny. She likes to play on her potty, standing, sitting, sitting backwords, sideways. It's like she's a rodeo acrobatist. She is so cute. Last night I put her on the potty before her bath and she tinkeled. She enjoys transferring it to the big potty and flushing it good-bye. This morning before getting her dressed for school I put her on the potty and she went again. What a good girl. Fingers crossed that progress will continue. She does let us know when she is having a bm. She sits still and whispers, 'poo-poo?'
Thinking of everyone. Hope your Springs are going well.
ok, I am back. Thanks, catharine. just turned in a big grant and taking a moment for myself. I deserve a little break from work. Your story about your little girl is pleasant to read! I think she will be diaper free soon since she clearly knows what she is doing and she seems to enjoy doing it.
Just wanted to let you know that parenting lessons that we learn in the past few days. What happened was we went NC for a wedding and stayed in a house with another couple who have a 20-month kid. He is so well-behaved and we were inspired and realized that we have not taught our children good manners. DH often tells me this but I thought the daycare will take care of it for us. No, little kids learn to behave differently, they are angels at the daycare but evils at home (sometimes to often). Anyway, the very first thing that we learned is to ask them eat breakfast every morning - I am a late person who does not eat breakfast at all. So far, they enjoy starting their day with parents. DS claps his hand each time he puts a spool full of cereal in his mouth, as I said, he is very expressive.
Another thing is about diaper training, DS suddenly started to sit on the potty all by himself when he needs to go. We caught him in the video the other day when he did this, it's fun watching him since he is not tall enough to get it right, he would try multiple times from each direction, when he finally sits on it perfectly, he makes a push sound with a big smile on the face.
Well, DD, on the other hand, after two months of diaper free at night, she needs diaper again at the night. She said she wants to be a baby and she is tired to be a big girl now. She never gets out of the bed by herself, we think this is the main reason that she rather pee in the diaper so she does not have to hold it until we come to get her in the morning...
ok, my break time is over, chat again next time!

Greetings Ladies
I just wanted to share a tender moment that occured last week. As my DH and I were putting our DD to bed one night. I was quite tired from being up very early. I said to DD that I was heading downstairs to mommy's room to go to bed myself and I'd see her in the morning. She said okay mommy, and unprompted she walked over to me, gave me a good night hug, and said I love you mommy. She just melted my heart right then an there.
