Olim-
I'm so glad you are all right! Sounds like such a frightening ordeal you went thru, and I'm just happy it's behind you...

NandK-
Congratulations! I remember hoping for twins so badly my first pregnancy, and (silently) being disappointed that I had 'only' one. By the end of the pregnancy, with all the discomfort, etc., I was DEFINITELY not disappointed anymore :P . Try to relax and enjoy meanwhile, till you get to see the little heartbeat/s fluttering away...

Julia-
Congratulations! Don't worry about your progesterone. If you are given an increased dosage, that will do the trick; same thing happened to me last time, and that number shot right up after taking the higher dosage.

Hope all is well with everyone... Albany, Rikirees??

Oh, also... HAPPY NEW YEARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mommy of 2,

Just from what I have read, it seems that spotting is much more common with twins :D :D (CONGRATS BY THE WAY!!!). It makes sense logically, as there's double the 'remodeling' going on down below (borrowing that term from Caprice or Rikirees, can't remember who used it :) ). Stands to reason that there's even EXTRA blood pumping through your body to get ready for what's to come, so the spotting is no biggie, I'm sure. Just take it easy and relax :).

And Welcome!

Riki-glad to hear you are still alive. So you still don't know what your going to do huh? Are there still 2 babies? How are you feeling.

Is anyone constipated? I am really struggling here.

I had an ultrasound today and found out that my seemingly healthy twin stopped growing at 7 weeks and my "non-viable" twin split into two perfectly healthy 8 week old identical twins. The human body is strange. I kinda just want that 3rd one to vanish quickly, it is making me really nervous.

Hello everyone! Welcome to all the new mommies! Well, DH and I have had the most relaxing 15 days in Panama. Just got home. The transition from 95 degrees to 16 degrees has not been easy.

I am ready to hit the sack, but just wanted to check in and say hello!!!!!

Caprice, btw... that news is soooooooo amazing. I have another scan tomorrow morning and you got me thinking now.... miracles do happen, huh??? I hope my 2nd sac has a heartbeat as well. If not just hoping for a healthy baby on schedule for growth.

Olim - how very frightening. My grandmother always tells me to be careful on the stairs and I would just brush it off. I guess it's a very serious thing and I will be more careful. I am praying that everything continues as is to be for the next 7-8 months.

I apologize to everyone else, no personals at this time, only have about 6 hours to fit some sleep in before the long drive to RE for scan. Last one before I go to my OB next week. Sweet Dreams mommies and babies!

Happy dance, happy dance.... our little mouse is sooooooo cute! The baby first stretched, repositioned itself and went back to sleep!!!!!! sooooo amazing! As soon as the dr. said "ok, baby time to show off for mommy and daddy" the baby started moving around. We are just over the moon and can't believe this miracle we have been given.

Our aunt is already making the Christening gown and baby quilt!!!! We are soooo excited!

The other sac is still there and growing but no heartbeat or anything. The Dr. said not to worry and it won't hurt the existing baby, so that is good news.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Albany - that's amazing that you saw so much. We don't get our next scan now until 12 weeks and the last one we had at 8 weeks after my fall, it just looked like a blob wit a heart beat and wasn't moving. That's brilliant - can't wait to see ours moving!

Hi Ladies,

The board has been quiet but sometimes no news is good news!

Albany07- Glad your u/s went well. That is such a great story. Did you get a print out of your baby to take home with you?

AFM - Has everyone had thier first u/s yet? My first one is Friday 1/8 and I will be at 7 weeks. I am soooo ready for this appointment. Overall, I feel good with a bit of fatigue and nausea but no vomiting. My ta-ta's had been really sore but that has subsided the last few days. It makes me nervous - that's why I just want the u/s appt and to see a heartbeat. We havent told any family yet so will be excited to tell our immediate family after Friday's appointment. I will wait to tell others and my work at the end of the first trimester.

I have a good friend who is just starting IVF this month - so I get to watch her experience this process that we just went through.

I hope you are all doing great and that those little babies are growing strong!

albany- good to hear from you and the good news. You have been quite for while.
Caprice- Does that mean you started out with triplets? I too am SO constipated. YUCK.

AFM- had my apt with the high risk OB today. 2 little babies moving all over the place. He didn't do an extensive scan just chatted a little and checked the placement of the babies. They are anterior in the uterus so that was good they are not in front and pulling on my c section scar. He put in normal terms and as I already knew...I am super high risk for preterm labor and rupture. Also high risk for gestational diabetes. So for now I have to check my blood sugar 4 times a day and report back any abnormally high or low numbers. And we go back at week 13 for a detailed scan. He briefly discussed a reduction if he thinks my life is going to be at risk but quickly changed the subject when we said we would like to avoid a reduction. So for now all is quiet. Need to see my RE one more time in 2 weeks then off to the OB. OH and no more POI! My tushie is doing a happy dance!

Rikirees-
Happy about your happy dance :). Glad to here that so far, so good.

Mommyof2-
Congrats on the great u/s.

As for me, I'm a bit concerned, as I've had some light/light-med. brown spotting over the past two days  . Not enough for a pad, though. Hoping it is nothing. I have another u/s tomorrow evening at my ob's, but will bump it up to the morning at the women's health clinic if possible. Trying to stay calm till then. Meanwhile, my son woke up with a fever today, and now he is shivering. My dh took him to the urgi-care center. Hoping that shivering subsides soon, he was shaking like a leaf, poor little angel :( .

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Hello girls!!!! Glad to hear everything is going well for everybody! Shari - don't worry! As long as it is not red or bright pink they say evrything is fine. I have not had any spotting except for a pink streaked mucus while on a 6 hour air flight. I told my RE and he said there is nothing to worry about. The same day we saw our ultra great ultrasound. By the way, YES... I ask for multiple pictures each time I go for my ultrasound. We paid a lot of money for that ultrasound paper!!!!!hahahaha!!!

As for constipation... I am much better now that I follow this easy rule I found in one of my books... 3 fruits a day, 3 vegetables a day and 3 servings of Vitamin D milk a day (so your teeth don't fall out). The baby will pull calcium from your bones and teeth if your calcium intake is not adequate. If u drink skim or 1 percent, the calcium is not absorbed into your body as efficiently as vit. D which assists in absorbtion of ca. Just a tip! Bottoms up and enjoy!

Hi everyone,

I'm sad to say that I will be leaving this thread. My ob did not find a fetal heartbeat today, and he said the fetus is the same size as last week. I will go in for a D/C some time this week I hope. :(

In shock and sad tonight... All is for the best...

Shari xo

P.S. Have wonderful pregnancies, ladies. Very happy for all of you :)
