I am so excited!!! I bought Gracie's Christmas dress for her picture with Santa. Its SO cute!!! I cant wait!!
Angram- I did BF for almost 5 months, it helped loose 35 of the 60lbs, but this last 25 is killing me!!! Good Luck on your trip! We wont be traveling for Thanksgiving, but will be gone for 12 days during Christmas.

We had a server issue for a while, but I think it's fixed now and I just need to do a complete overhaul of our site and get it back up and running.
So Audrey is pretty much eating mostly table food these days, anyone else? I'm at a loss of what all to give her, since I'm trying to mix both the Gerber foods (pastas, etc) and some of the food we're eating. We're not the healthiest of eaters, so I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas. Any help you all could provide would be much appreciated!

Congratulations on Jack's first steps! Our DD also walked few steps at this age, but DS seems to take his time, he can stand up free of hands, but not yet walk.

Neffi- congrats on Jacks first steps! How are you feeling? Have you had your first U/S yet?
Angram- How did Audrey fair on your holiday trip?
Gracie is not walking yet, but she loves to push a diaper box around the house and walk. She doesnt like the walkers (the stand and push kind) for some reason? She would rather sit on the floor and play with the buttons and such than push it. She also took to pushing a 24 pack of toilet paper around the kitchen while I unloaded groceries the other day. She can stand on own for a few secs, but thats it. She doesnt seem to want to move forward at this point, which is ok.
Gracie has not moved onto any table food due to her allergies. Because of this we are having an issue of her feeding herself, she does not want to. I've tried cooked, smashed veggies, but no luck. When I give her things she stick her tongue out like its a foreign object. When I tried to get her to chew it she gags. Still having issues with the sippy cup as well. The Dr said its ok if she is on formula until 14 months so just give her time, not to push her.
We have all of our Christmas shopping done. I cant wait for Gracie to open gifts:) She loves to sit and watch the tree, she sticks her arms in the air at it (like "touchdown") and goes "oohhhh". She loves when DH gets his little remote control cars out. She likes to crawl around and chase them. Cute, cute!!!
Anway, I've gone on enough. Hope all is well and everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.

Dakota - Audrey did outstanding on our Thanksgiving trip, thanks for asking. Hopefully she'll do just as well at Christmas, since just the 2 of us will be flying home on our first flight alone Gracie sounds like such a cutie pie, you guys are going to have a great Christmas! Audrey is doing wonderful and now has 3 teeth. She just cut her top front tooth and has started grinding it on the bottom 2 teeth, it's a horrible sound. She's such a happy little gir and is smiling all the time, such a cutie! She's on her 4th ear infection in 3 months, so she'll have tubes put in this Thursday. DH and I are pretty nervous, but I know everything will go great and she'll feel so much better. Just so sad to see my little girl put to sleep. Other than that everything is going well, almost done with my Christmas shopping, and now need to get my Olympics clothes shopping out of the way

Hey guys-- I m/c on thanksgiving day. I assumed you saw my other posts, sorry I didnt write on this thread. We are hangin in there! Jack is my strength. He is walking about 6-8 steps at a time now. He had tear duct surgery today and was a trooper. I was worse off than him I think. He is my little angle and I love him so much. Hopefully we will have a second child someday, but right now I am enjoying him! I love every minute!
We also have no luck with the sippy cup! Oh well, I am trying to get him to use a straw, no luck there either. We do some table foods, but not many, also due to allergies. He loves his baby food and yogurt so I'm not going to push it.
Have a wonderful 1st Christmas with you little ones. We cant wait!

JACK NEEDS GLASSES! I am so upset about such a stupid thing, but I don't want him to have to wear glasses. What a pain for a one year old! He has astigmatism in both eyes, the left is worse. My mom has this and it is very genetic. I know I am being shallow, but I feel like he is going to be a nerd.....first peanut allergy, now glasses! Wow! He is such an angel and doesn't deserve any of this. Ok there is my bitching.....sorry. I need to shut up. I see kids every day with cancer and horrible health problems and I am going to spend from now on be thankful that my baby is healthy, he just cant see well or eat eggs or peanuts! It could be worse. On a good note,.....he is such a big walker! He is all over the place now! He is so cute casue he is so tiny. I think he weighs 19 lbs now. He is a peanut, but very active, and sooooooo good! I am so lucky. I hope you all had a great Xmas! Ours couldn't have been better!

Gracie is taking steps now!!! Its only a few at a time. The most she has done is 3 and she does them when she is not thinking about it. She will be cruising on the wall going down the hallway and just let go and take steps, then she falls. She is eating peas and sweet potatos on her own!! Woohoo!!! What a mile stone!!! Still working on the sippy cup, not much luck. She is doing well with the allergy foods. The ped said to keep working with her on small amounts and maybe one day she just wont have a reaction. She gets yogurt everyday, puffs and multi grain cereal. As long as we dont over do the oats or dairy she is ok. When I give her the yogurt I mix in fruit and veggies, which it already has, but I ad more. Mac and Cheese she still breaks out, I think its over load dairy and if I give her straight oats, like cheerios, she majorly breaks out. I will just keep at it. Mabye by 1 she will be able to have milk. I am crossing my fingers.
Gracie got a TON of toys for Christmas, she doesnt know what to play with half the time and the other half of the time she would rather play with a water bottle.

One the way home, after about 8 hours in the car Gracie got a 103 temp, so we had to stop at a hotel, which sucked because we were only 3 hours from home, but we parked it until Gracie broke fever to get home. It was only about 10 hours, so not bad, then once we got into the car to go home she slept the whole way. She is much better today, we all are, but still pretty stuffy and coughing.

Dakota - Great news that Gracie is taking steps, it's too cute to see such little ones start walking Sounds like things are getting a little better with food as well, so that is excellent. I'm sorry to hear you all got so sick during the holidays, that isn't any fun, but good that it took this long for Gracie to get her first cold. Hope you all get better soon!
Neffi - I think little kids are too precious with glasses, and it's ok to be a little nerdy, although glasses don't necessarily define that I've been wearing glasses (well when I do wear them) since I was a child and also have a horribe astigmatism, and I'm by no means a nerd I do understand it's just one more thing your little man has to deal with, so I'm very sorry for that. You're right though in that he has his health, so focus on the positives and give him lots of lovin'. I'm guessing things are way busier now that Jack is walking, he's such a cutie in all your pics!
Well Audrey had her tubes put in almost a month ago, broke out with a horrible fever the next day and had to go to the urgent care around 9pm. She looked great to them, other than the fever, so we went home and gave her meds to help reduce. 3 days later she broke out in a full body rash, so it ended up being Roseola. She's been absolutely great since then and she had a wonderful Christmas. She cut both top teeth over the holidays, took 2 steps on her own, said Momma, and started clapping..overall was a very productive holiday break She's started fighting table food lately, so we're having an issue with her eating. She's over 23lbs, so I'm guessing it isn't a problem, but I'd rather she eat more. She's all about the snacks like yogurt melts, cheerios, graham crackers and fruit, fruit and more fruit! She was throwing her food on the floor the other night and I said "damnit", which is when she decided repeating mom for the first time would be great...we could NOT believe it! Guess I really need to start watching my mouth
Well sorry for the extremely long post, but lots going on around our house these days. Oh yeah, we have an IVF consultation on the 25th, so hoping to start another round after we get back from the Olympics at the end of February. I hope everyone is doing well and the new year is starting off great!

We are overwhelmed by two little ones during the holidays but I am happy to read all the news from you all.
Neffi - I am sorry that Jack needs classes already but I wish early intervention helps to correct her sight so that in the future, she won't need them. My friend's daughter also has her glasses for the same reason, although I forgot whether this is genetic in her case.
Dakota - so happy to know that Gracie has started to walk! Our DD also started her first steps earlier than one, about 10m2w. However, DS is still taking his time. He is quite a big little guy who crawls very fast, so I guess he figured out his own way to get to the places.
Angram - very glad that you are seeking for another cycle. Wish you all the luck in the world for this second one.
About DS, he is going to be 1. He is still breast feeding, 2x/day. He had very bad stomach flu and he subsequently lost quite amount of weight (he was 27lbs at 9-m checkup!) during the holidays. It is over now and he is eating like crazy. Like Audrey, he likes fruits a lot! He likes to feed himself and does not like to be fed.

Hello Ladies! Long time, no talk! I just spent some time getting caught up on all of your updates - can't believe how all of your little ones are growing! Sounds like most of them are starting to take steps...that is so great!
Well, our daughter Isabel Carmela (we call her Isa "EESA") was born March 15. She is doing really well - a very happy, healthy kid, so we are so thankful. She is not walking yet, but she's close to standing on her own...just doesn't quite have the balance yet. She is, however, peeing on the potty! She also has no teeth yet, so that's a little odd. I didn't have teeth til I was 15 months old though, so it's not totally unexpected.
So I had gone in to meet with our RE back in November to talk about doing a frozen cycle this spring. We have five in the freezer. I told her that I'd had my first regular periods ever after Isa was born (used to vary from 40 to 70 days...and never ovulating), but I still figured our chances of natural conception were slim. We had kind of been trying in the meantime, but really with no thought that it would actually work. Well...turns out I am 8 weeks preggers! Holy crap, ladies! It is wierd that there has been no big build-up to this...no shots, no U/S, just all the sudden a positive pregnancy test. I took it 3 times before I believed it could actually be real. Anyway, I just found out a few days ago, and I have been thinking about all of you a lot...ever since I met with the doc in November I've been thinking about getting back on the board and finding you all...I just remember going through so much with each of you!
Anyway- Neffi, I'm so sorry to hear about your m/c. Great that Jack's toddling around, though, and keeping some joy in your life! I would feel the same way about the glasses - not shallow at all! What a bummer!
OK ladies, I want to write more to each of you, but I have to run to work. Will try to post again soon so I can catch up some more.
