Beta didn't hardly go down...GHOST?

Post by LorrieS »

I went for my 'declining' beta this morning it was 186. Last Thursday it was 191. The nurse said the Dr wants me back in tomorrow for more blood work and also an ultra sound to see what's going on.

What could it be???

I m/c on 12/26/09. I saw the sac and passed many blood clots and when I went to the ER that night the Dr said I had passed everything. I had another u/s 4 days later and my RE said all was clear. Why would my beta only go down by 6 since last week?

I'm really worried. I don't really want to have a D & C because this will prolong being about to TTC again.

Thanks in advance.

It's possible you have a little placental tissue in there somewhere making hCG.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Would a D & C be required or will it eventually pass? I'm not bleeding anymore though.

I don't know how often a D&C is required, but the couple of cases I recall like that did have a D&C to resolve it.
