Reading the posts and catching up - nice little bunch of ladies to share the journey...

I had my first ultrasound (for follie check) and I have 8 leading follies between 7.3mm and 12 mm (four on each side) as well as more than ten above 5 mm on each ovary. That's over 30 follicles. I'm freaking nervous about it! I am already feeling a bit tender and having to pee a lot, with a mild backache.

They were thrilled with my eggs but my E2 didn't climb much between monday and wednesday (only from 560 to 580) and so they took my bravelle up to 225 IU and booked me in for another ultrasound and bloodwork tomorrow morning. We'll report soon...

It sounds like both of you are on your way!!! Over 30 follicles? Wow, that's fantastic!! Your stomach must be sore, but it will be worth it! Shafs, I know a lot of people that start slowly...no worries though, it doesn't mean anything. I am so anxious to start my stims...hopefully Friday or Monday! Good luck...

I dono whats gonna happen in this cycle.

Okay we need some full reports here!!

Where are you on your stims? Ultrasounds? Follie Counts??

I'm going for my "BIG" ultrasound this morning to see how I did over the past three days and if we will trigger tonight. I'm very nervous!

I have been doing 300 IU of Bravelle nd 150 IU of Menopur since Thursday night, (it was about half that before). I think yesterday was day 11 of stims - and hopefully the LAST. My tummy looks like a plucked chicken with all the little holes in it (about 15 plus acupunture!) LOL

Sonya...I have been reading your blog and I am definitely pulling for you!! Hopefully you'll get to trigger tonight and then there will be lots to retreive!! All the shots will be worth it in the end!!! So excited for you!!

As for me, I went in for my baseline and U/S this morning. I start my stims tonight. This is the first time I will be using menapur, so I'm a little nervous about mixing all of my meds together. I am on 5 lupron, 375 Gonal F, and 150 Menapur. I'm so excited about getting started. I have appointments for Friday and next M/W/F, so we'll see how things progress.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi all,

I saw this Message Topic and wanted to jump in...I am set to start Lupron on Feb. 4th, stims on the 13, and possible ER on the 22 of February. While I have done two IUIs I have never done IVF so I am both terrified and excited! Should I expect the same reaction to the meds for IVF as I did for IUI (basic moodiness)? I am new to this so any advice on what to expect would be great. I linked into the Jan/Feb IVF thread but felt overwhelmed!

Thanks for having me :D

Hi Molly...welcome!!!!! This is my second IVF, so I know how terrifying and exciting it is! Your emotions will be all over the place, but TRY to relax. I had the same symptoms as my IUIs, but a little more bloating. Also, my emotions were crazy!! I just started my stims yesterday, so we're close. Good luck and glad you joined us!!

Wow...it sounds like everyone has a lot going on! I took some time to read each of your updates/stories.

On one of your posts I read something about E2 (was it you, Sonya) What does this mean? I am SO new to this stuff and really need all the help/guidance/advice I can get!

Shafs-what is the latest? What was said about the diet?

Sarah-I am a teacher too...and was bummed not to get a snow day today! How are your stims going?

Sonya-what happened with your appointment? Did you trigger?

Babyranger-it is my first IVF too and I it is a REAL learning process!

Gi-sorry to hear about your possible canceled cycle-is there an update?

I have no idea if I hit on everyone, but I am rushing off to class!

Sending good thoughts to everyone!

Sorry...forgot:

minkidoo-I, too am in the same boat of needing advice for IVF-I hope you get some answers!

babyranger-being that this is my first IVF attempt, I am nervous about the success rates of the first attempt too. I share your emotions of eagerness and being terrified! I don't start my Lupron until next week and I just want it to be here already so I can begin! I, too get four shots at IVF. We are actually going to be part of a study where we are chosen for one of two "arms." The first arm we do a live transfer and then they freeze and genetically test the remaining embryos. The other "arm" we have the embryos genetically tested before the transfer. Lots to think about! Hope things are going well!
