Bedrest for how long after ET?

Post by Rae37 »

Hi Everyone.! I am new here. I am on my 2nd IVF cycle. My first attempt ended in a chemical pregancy.
We went straight to IVF since we are both 37 and my insurance covered 1 attempt. I have stage 3 endo and my dh is normal. I had a lap early 2009 and we tried for a few months after but nothing. when we did the first cycle, none of my eggs were fertiziled on their own so they had to do ICSI. So, we think that maybe my eggs won;t fertilize on their own and that could be the cause of our infertility.

Anyway, I was wondering how long any of you had layed down or bedrested yourselves after ET and had a sucessful IVF?

Last time I rested the day of ET and the next day. I wonder if I should have rested longer and maybe I would have been sucessful??

Any thoughts and stories are welcome!
Thanks!!
Rachel

Multiple studies have found bed rest to be irrelevant to IVF cycle outcome. In fact, one study found it to be harmful.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

My first attempt did result in a chemical also. I was in a wedding the day after my ET. We had the rehersal and dinner about 6 hours after my ET and the entire following day was running around with the wedding and reception. My RE did not have a problem with it, just said to take it easy.

My sencond attempt, I did rest the day of and following day. Just because it was the weekend and I could. But Monday I was back to my physical job. I still got a BFP!

If you had a chemical, the embie/embies did implant. There may have been a chromosomal issue or structural issue with it. The resting did not affect anything.
