Hello everyone,
I took a HPT this morning and I got a faint line. I did one yesterday and it was nothing today there's a faint line. I'm excited. My husband wants the blood test done so he's not as excited as I am right now. I'm 8dpt 5dt today I will have my pregnancy test at the hospital Saturday.
I've read that there can be a false negative but not a false positive. Is that true?

Honey, you are PREGNANT!!! If a HPT can pick up the HCG in your system, a blood test will confirm it. Congratulations!

Arabsrcool-I'm so excited. This will be my second pregnancy. My son was a 3dt and now he will be three this coming April.

There can be false positives, but not at this time.

The most common cause of a false positive is from an hCG trigger shot.

By 8 days post day 5 transfer, that hCG is long gone. To support that, you had a negative test the previous day.

I suppose I should ask, are you taking hCG for luteal support? That is rare, but some clinics use it that way. Most just give progesterone and estradiol.

Ghost-I don't know what a hcg trigger shot mean. I'm on progesterone and patches. Speaking of progesterone which method is better shots or vaginal inserts? right now i'm currently doing the shots.

Then you are almost certainly pregnant.

The inserts can work about as well as the shots. There's also an inserted tablet and a gel that work well, but they are more expensive. And there's an oral pill, but it does not work as well.
