Yay for your ER! Seven is great - it only takes one good one. No, never heard of the 'glue' - there is some research on some different proteins in the uterine lining that some women have more of and have better implantation rate. Is there an associated cost with it? Surprising they never told you about it when you started your cycle. Have they used it for long?
Does your clinic do a lot of five day transfers?

Shermy19-Congratulations on the follicle growth-you are on your way and it is terrific that you are responding so well-keep it up!!
Sonya-Wow...I will keep my fingers extra crossed for you, I know what a long road this had been for you and it sounds like the ET was ideal. Has the doctor commented on your progesterone level?
Sruppe-congratulations on the seven mature eggs! Can't wait to hear how the ET goes-sending good vibes your way!
This is such great news for the three of you...it is helping to keep me on a positive track, as today is Day 1 of my Lupron injections...I wish I were as far along as the three of you!

Molly you'll be here soon enough - I do know that this is not something I would look forward to doing over and over again. It's extremely draining.
No, we didn't check my progesterone. I am already on 600 mg of progesterone so there's not much more they can do anyhow. I've been on the suppositories before and know they are effective.
How is everyone else doing? We need updates....!

Molly...the time goes by pretty quickly. You're not too far behind us.
Sruppe... Yeh for all of those mature eggs. I have never heard about the glue. It sounds interesting, since that may be my problem. Good luck on Monday!!
Sonya...I keep reading your blog. I love it!! Now, your 2ww...that's the hard part. Wishing you all the best!
Lauren...how are you doing?
Devans...good luck on Tuesday!!
Shafs...how are you doing?
I went in this morning and my follies are not quite ready, so it looks like ER will be on Monday. I still have about 12. But she thinks one will be too mature on Monday, but the rest look great and are all about the same size. My hubby will be out of town, so I will have to have my sister bring me. I had a little meltdown this morning. I'm so anxious and nervous. I know I need to relax, but it's so hard. My estrodiol looks good.
Sorry I wasn't finished writting... I love to read all of your stories and I took feel like I can't keep up with the thread.
Can anyone tell me if you get cramps after you transfer? I have six more days and I started getting pains last night. Im not spotting but Im starting to worry. Its so hard to stay calm and not think about all day long. Any advice will help? Lots of blessing to all you ladies, I can relate, understand and admire all of you for going through what im going through. Its amazing what us women have to go through. I have you all in my prayers..

DESIRE_270, Welcome! While I can't give any advice or speak to any experience (as I am just starting the whole IVF experience today), I am wishing positive things for you. I know how hard it is to remain positive, but do your best not to over think or get negative before there is reason to be. You are cycling very close to some women in this group so I think you will find a lot of support and advice in this thread. Keep us up to date-we will support you!

Question to all who have done Lupron (or its equivalent). Is there anything I need to lay off of besides the obvious (drinking, smoking, etc). My doctor didn't mention anything aside from staying away from vigorous exercise once my ovaries become swollen.

Well RE called today and out of the 7 they retrieved 2 didn't do anything, 3 they are still watching and 2 fertilized. I realize it only takes one but that was heartbreaking to hear. He said they are watching the other 3 just to be sure. They have moved my transfer to a 3 day instead of 5 since we didn't have but 2 that are good as of this morning. The ET is now scheduled for Sat 2/6.
Molly05- I have heard to be very careful about vigorous exercise because you don't want to have your ovary or ovaries twist on you because they are so big due to the follicle growth but there are discussions both ways.
Sonya- they didn't tell me about the glue until ER day my guess would be because you really don't need to decide about doing that until they actually have eggs and then you can decide if you want to pay for it. My clinic charges $100 extra to do it. They tend to go with the 5 day transfers if they can but in a situation like mine they will do a 3 day. I think we are going to try the glue so hopefully between that and the acupuncture we will have success. It isn't looking to go though.

Sruppe, I know this must be disappointing news, but don't give up hope. Put your energy and focus on those two fertilized eggs! What is RE saying about the "quality" of the embryo? Sending good thoughts your way and try to stay positive, you have made it this far, keep your eye on the prize!

DandMe i am also on the progesterone suppositories but i am only taking it 3x a day and they are only 100 mg each. You said they are affective, but in what way? what is their purpose really?
sruppe i have never heard of the glue either, what is it and how is it used for IVF?

Hi All,
I guess I will be going for blood test in early AM since still no AF!!! Does everyone not drink alcohol while doing stims? I have had drinks (sometimes alot) every time I have been on them. This time I am taking Menopur, so I am not sure if I am not supposed to. Do all of you do progesterone shots? I have the vaginal kind, and I had them last month too. Kind of gross, but my RE said shots are painful. I hope to be starting stims Saturday!
Lauren, my doctor has always mentioned "moderation" with alcohol when doing IUIs...however, with IVF (and Lupron) he said ABSOLUTELY no alcohol can be consumed while on this medicine. I didn't drink when doing IUIs just because I was mostly trying to get my body as "welcoming" and healthy as possible, but I don't think it is completely banned. I would lay off the alcohol while doing IVF though just because the meds get more serious. Best of luck with the doctor's appointment!
I am slated to do progesterone shots after the ER, but in the past I have taken pills vaginally (which I found gross!) but since I have traditionally low progesterone, I am going to do the shots (which I hear are awful!).
Hope you start your stims tomorrow! I will be thinking of you!

I want to say thank you to all for the responce about freaking out if I should have period cramps or not. They come and go and I went to sleep so early yesterday because I felt mentally exhausted.
Molly05- I want to thank you for the support and When I started Lupron I didn't feel any different nor Did I get any pain. The needle is are so small it really doesn't hurt at all.
Devan- One day apart I will also keep you in my prayers... The strange thing is that we had the same day (jan 29th) transfer so why are we having a day apart? Did you do a day 3 transfer or 5?
Sruppe- Question, When do they determine if you need the glue or not and is there other testing along with that decision? I never heard of it and I wonder why?
Lauren171- My Dr's office said not to drink at all, not sure I wont want to take any risk so I haven't drank a glass of wine since New year day. I was also on Menopur & progestarone shots... I always iced my butt (40seconds) each night to make sure it doesn't burn or hurt... lol
To all the other ladies good luck to you!!! Baby Wishes to all of you..
Hi just popping in to reassure Desire 270, I have had 5 2WW's and on All of the bfn's and bfp's i had terrible AF type cramps was always on nicker watch, on the bfp's i was soooo surprised it was positive as sometimes the pains were really bad!! I did m/c twice but it had nothing to do with the cramps (natural killer cells!!) Best of luck not long left xxxx
7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!
