FSH Levels

Post by joy42 »

Has anybody over 40 had a successful pregnancy with their own eggs with FSH levels at 15? I just spoke to my doctor and he told me these were the test results and that I had to go on highest medication for getting pregnant with my own eggs. He said the chances were 10 - 20%. Does anyone have any experiences to share particularly with regards to the medications?
thanks,

Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if anyone has gotten a BFP with an elevated FSH? If so, how? I have recently been diagnosed with a Diminshed Ovarian Reserve. Please help? I am only 29

Pregnancies happen in that group, just not as readily as in younger patients with lower FSH.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

hi, I had high fsh 15 and over. I got pregnant naurally one month after failed ivf last november. I turned 42 2 months after my baby was born. she is almost 5 months old now. Even though ivf failed, i think the meds kick started things in my body. one re even told me i would never have a baby with my own eggs. sometimes miracles happen. dont give up and dont always listen to doctors.

I am 38 years old. In December I got my FSH results of 17.3 with an AMH of 0.2 to boot. I was told my chances of having a biological child were less than 1% even with the most aggressive treatment and IVF. I was given the donor egg speech. And this was all before I even started TTC as I am a single woman. I was devastated. I saw another RE who agreed with the first but seemed nicer and was willing to work with me. He wanted to do IVF as a first step but ultimately we decided we would try IUI with COH. This would also let us know if I would respond well to IVF as the drugs and treatment were going to be the same. He first wanted to check my progesterone at CD 20 and repeat the 3 days FSH. That meant I would not start any meds or do IUI until February or more likely, March. Well, during all of this I was on the internet and reading books, seeking out others with high FSH and Low AMH that went on to have a biological child. I started to believe that my chances were just as good naturally as they were with ART. I decided I would try naturally during any non IUI cycles. Well low and behold, I got a BFP the very first time I TTC naturally and I got it less than 30 days after those FSH and AMH results and the donor egg speech were given to me. Today I am 6w3d pregnant. My bHCG's have been great. I have my first U/S on Monday. I cannot wait. I am somewhat afraid (because of the outlook I was given) but very hopeful.
