IVF verses GIFT and other services

Post by zozo38 »

Im very new to this - we have just found sperm in hubby after blocked tubes diagnosed, so all go for IVF. I am fine but we are given no choice but to proceed with IVF.
I have heard about IUI, Gift and other related services that may not involve me taking lots of drugs and having egg retrieval.
Any ideas ? Doctors seem to just push IVF and nothing else !

IUI is not an option with blocked tubes in your husband.

GIFT would be an option but I think the places that know how to perform it are much fewer than those that do IVF. If you want to find out more you may need to find a place that actually offers the service and talk to them.
