help in starting labour

Post by wishfull27 »

just wondered if any of you mummies had any suggestions or experiences that helped bring on labour - am nearly 38 weeks with twins and will be induced on Friday unless anything happens naturally in the meantime ! - have tried raspberry leaf tea, pineapple, curry, 2 lots of acupuncture specifically for induction.. only one not tried is the sex - with the size of me and parents staying that would be mission impossible - so any other suggestions would be welcome girls !!!!!

My wife says her first labor started when she got dehydrated during a 2 hour traffic jam on the way to work. I'm not sure I'd try that one on purpose.

Why would they induce before 40 weeks?

cos its twins and 38 weeks in Uk is classed as term for twins - they do not like you to go any longer !!

Carolyn,

I have no suggestions since I too was induced, but I was wondering how things were going for you. By the time you read this your babies will have arrived! Yippee!!! Hope all went well, can't wait to read all about it.
