Ive moved from the fcb board. Forgive me if ive already posted on here, im sure i havent, but my brains not working as normal!! We had our first ivf treatment and found out on 14 April we're having twins! We were in a little shock, but are absolutely thrilled to bits. Eveyone keeps telling us how lovely it will be and then laugh!! We're off for a nine week scan on Wed which im looking forward to getting over as im a little scared. Ive been feeling really really sick and tired, falling asleep whenever wherever i can get my head down!! This weekend has nt been good as i was then hit by a v nasty tummy bug that was going round on top of having a water infection. Hopefull im getting over that now!
I hear there's lots of twins on this board. I'll look forward to catching up and keeping up with everyone.

edd is 2 December, but ive been told that twins tend to come early, is that right?
Congratulations - I posted for you on the other side and was waiting for you to get over here. Feeling scared is normal = I do it so well particularly after my history. Get the 9 week out the way and I am sure you will be fine for a bit then worry about the 12 week and so it goes......
Take time out to enjoy though! How exciting. WE are having two girls - EDD 13th August but yes more often than not they come early - yikes!
Sorry you have not been well - make sure you drink plenty of fluids to replace those you have lost and the fact that twins are hard work! Feeling knackered and tired is normal - I did until a few weeks ago and now starting again to feel a bit tired - am 25 weeks on Friday! I was sleeping during the day for England and kept falling asleep during East Enders - I ask you.
Fire away with the questions!
love
Tracey

Welcome!! It's so exciting isn't it?! We are having twin boys due 15th August, although every thing I hear and read about twins says 36-37 weeks is the norm. The worry never stops-I'm worrying about the birth already! but try and enjoy it as time really does fly. It seems only last week I was posting about expecting twins, and now we are 24 weeks. Shopping has started now.... where are all those parcel vans!?

I would just like to say congrats this is just so exciting, I can imagine how hard twins will be but the thing is you will enjoy every minute of it. I have Alex from my 1st attempt at IVF and am so lucky to be blessed with the most beautiful son but I do find him hard work at times but everything that I've done for him I find so rewarding, I am just so happy for you and it will be the best thing thats ever happened. My Sister has twins and they arrived at 36 weeks its not unusual for them to come early.
we did speak before and was expecting to see you sometime soon. welcome to this side and congratulations again.
having twins is lovely. we met our gp today with his wife and newborn twins, conceived thru ivf. they looked so happy. i heard her say ready made family, all done and dusted! and she's right. just think no more ivf!! well unless you decide to keep going.....
Congratulations from me too! We took a few days to adjust to the twins idea (my dp having claimed beforehand he could not cope with 2!) and now we are so happy and would not imagine things any other way.
I also keep hearing they arrive early, but there was someone on this site, I think Jules, who carried them quite late so i am hoping we can all keep them in as long as possible.
Good luck with the scan and all the best from me,
juliana
Yet another twin Mummy, it must be catching! As Juliana said, I had my two at 39 weeks by elective caesarean and they showed no signs of making an appearance by then (I never even had Braxton Hicks) so it is possible to go full-term. I did give up work (well, went on sick leave) at 27 weeks which I think helped. Having said that, my Mum had my twin brothers at 40+1 weeks and was working almost up until the birth and had me and my sister to look after.
Twins are great, even when they discover the terrible twos (naming no names ... Charlotte) and we've both loved being twin parents because it's so much fun and there's never a dull moment.
Make sure that you rest lots and take care.
Jules
