Hope, support, friendship and laughs...thats us!!!

bei The full bladder did not hurt, only slightly uncomfortable. Good luck..hang tough and relax.

Rayofsunshine. Yea for your donor... no stims for you, I think that the less stress your body is under, the easier it will be for the embies to settle in. Remember...

AFM I am so much better. :D :D :D OMG, am I better. I spoke with RE's nurse today and the plan is 500mg xr am and pm. I am pretty sure my problem is the immediate release vs the extended release (which I have taken for 14 years) as well as the dose increase from 500 to 1000. Also asked about the provera...no AF yet, they said it could take 2 weeks....yea okay
My best to all hope you have a great Thursday.

Hello

Post by Tameka94 »

I am 37 years old and my husband is 49. I start my IVF treatments on Feb. 18 when I start Lupron. I have had an abdominal myomectomy in May 2009 to remove fibroids. I have no biological children. We have been trying for a few years. I live in the Metro DC area. We go to sign our papers on Tuesday. I am quite nervous about medications. I glad I found this site this evening. I was told that we will have blastocyst embryo transfer. I am going through the binder of information that my doctor gave me so I can keep track of all of the procedures and medications. I am glad he did this because it involves so much. It seems to be a bit overwhelming but it is comforting to know that many others have gone through this. This forum will be very helpful for me. I will pray for everyone in this group and add your names to my church prayer list.

Hey girls. Just wanted to pop in. I am currently waitinf for my beta from last cycle but started spotting today. Our chances were slim last cycle so I apresume AF is on her way. While I know I am not down for the count yet, I thought I would introduce myself just in case but I have a strong feeling.

I am 32 with PCOS. I have 1 DS who is 22 months. He was conceived on 150mg clomid, trigger and metformin. DH and I have been trying for #2 since October 08. Since we have done 3 clomid cycles, 3 injectible and 2 IVF. It appears we might have an egg quality issue. This will be our last IVF attempt if we cycle March/April as teh well runs dry at that point. I am hoping to make this count. We are meeting with another RE March 3 to get a second opinion. Not sure if we will change clincs but if all goes well, we will be cycling late March....good luck ladies.

I don't have time to catch up right now so no personals. Took the day off work yesterday and stayed away from the computer. Now have to catch up with everything. Just wanted to post this before I forgot.

Attention Metfomin users.

I went to see my RE yesterday and she has diagnosed me for PCOS. She is putting me on Fortamet. It is a type of metformin. I know there were a lot of post about side effects of the metformin. My RE said that the Fortamet doesn't have hardly any side effect. Every so often one of her patients might have a complaint about an upset stomach but that is really rare My RE was one of the first doctors to study the use of metformin for the use of IR and PCOS so I would hope she knows what she is talking about. For those of you that have bad side effects, maybe talk with your Dr's to see if they will change you to Fortamet. I haven't gotten my prescription filled so don't know the cost. I have a feeling it is kind of high because there is a $23 coupon on the internet. My Dr. said if you go through the mail order pharmacy that most insurances have, that you can get it cheaper.

Good Luck to all

miyaya Welcome on over but hope you dont stay long. Hopefully you are surprised by a BFP soon. I have heard that spotting is possible and very common in the begining of an IVF preg. Dont give up yet. Will send lots of baby dust when I get home.

Marci~ thank you so much for the welcome and the dust!

I wish I would be a short timer but AF came and came with a vengence. So I am here to stay....hopefully for just one more cycle:)

I am kinda surprised AF came on full force as I was on progesterone right through today....you would think it would have delayed things a bit....but my AF is stronger than progesterone!

Well, girls. Just put me in the loony bin NOW. I took another HPT and, of course, it was negative. I thought MAYBE there was a chance I was preggo because:

1) I had the shortest/lightest AF of my life
2) I convinced myself they did the wrong blood work. When I went in for my Beta, after the b/w, they told me to head over to the u/s portion of the appointment. I told them I didn't need an u/s and when I looked down at their sheets it said "mid-FET lining check" not "pregnancy test". I didn't say anything and just left (I know I should have said something but I was depressed about all the negative HPTs I took...I couldn't bring myself to utter the words "pregnancy test").

Honestly, I am so embarrassed that I even thought for a second that they could be wrong.

Anyway, enough about me...

hopeforbabies: Let me know how Avatar is!! I'm dying to see it! I'm sure the 3-D version will be great!

kaybie: Your injections start soon--less than a week! That means your THAT much closer to your BFP!! No suggestions, really. But...hopefully this thread will help you get through these next few weeks!

bei: I'm feeling better! How about you?

rayofsunshine: How did your parent/teacher conferences go? I'm sure you're glad to be done! So exciting that your donor is starting so soon. ER on the 1st? Sounds like you'll be our first BFP (made even better by the fact that you have no shots!)!!

misocial: Still no AF? Ugh. Why is she taking her sweet time? Evil, evil, witch!! Glad to hear that you're feeling better!

Tameka94: Welcome! You're right, the IVF process can be overwhelming! We're here if you have any questions!

to_have_fun08: Sooooo glad you were able to avoid that nasty Metformin! Let us know how the Fortamet goes!

miyaya: Ugh. Sorry to hear about AF. Did they make you make you do b/w anyway? I'm rooting for you this time around (not that I wasn't rooting for you last time...I just meant THIS is your time!!).

Have a nice Valentine's Day, everyone!

Hi girls, just crashing from the Jan/Feb thread!.

rlk1,
you are not crazy......you just want to pregnant so bad. I totally get it, I too thought maybe they were wrong and I was pregnant. However, I talked myself down out of that particular tree. I didn't have to take another HPT, beta number was zippo! AF was horrible when she did come, so there was no way anything could have still been in there!

I'm going to stay on the Jan/Feb thread as my next and last FET is tenatively scheduled for 2/24 or 2/25. I will probably crash just to check on everyone!

Me again!

Arabsrcool: Thanks so much for stopping by and for being so nice. You're right. I just wanted this soooo bad---as we all do! But, I'm done with my crazies and am looking forward to my BFP in March! I mean, March HAS to be lucky for me since I got a BFP with my DS two years ago in March! Good luck with your next FET. I'm watching you, girl!!

kaybie: Oooooooh. Now that you admitted that you're a nurse-in-training I'll be asking you TONS of questions!! So cool about your OB term. I must admit, I couldn't watch the labor video when I was pregnant with my DS. I literally had to turn away. Turned out I didn't need that info in the end since my little one was breach and they had to do a c-section! Go figure!
