Hi girls. Just wanted to update you. Well, AF was not AF....had beta done on friday and it was positive at 25. However, the bleeding has continued and it appears to be a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage. So....here I am. I was prepared so I am taking it ok. Afterall, I was not expected a BFP at all.....my surpise when beta said +! Oh well. there are other cycles....not sure when we will start cycle #3. We are meeting with our RE on the 24th, I have a consult with another clinic on the 3rd and another RE on the 8th. We will make our decision after that. We are kinda talking about putting IVF #3 off until late summer/fall and doing a few injection cycles in the meantime...hoping we get lucky. I will keep you posted. And thank you all for the warm welcome, esp rlk :D

Hello Everyone,
My DH and I signed the official paperwork to start my first cycle of IVF. I learned that my insurance will cover 3 cycles including assisted hatching (if needed) and ICSI (if needed). It was a comforting visit because I learned that the nurses who work with my RE/GYN will be the nurses calling and checking on me throughout the process. They are both awesome. The nurses showed us how to do injections and we got to practice. They let me know that they did not want to overwhelm with me. It is so much information and they wanted to ease our anxiety. It was funny because the nurses were telling the doctors not to overwhelm us or confuse us with all of the information. They answered all of the questions we had. We left feeling positive.

Hi ladies. I was really hoping not to be joining you all here, but here I am. I did get my BFP on my first round of IVF, but I lost the pregnancy on 2/14/10. I am going to be doing an FET in late April or May. Do you mind if I join you all here even though I don't know for sure if I will go in April yet?

Tameka94 Welcome. It sounds like you have a great RE's office. Thats half the battle.!!!!
So glad that the board is back, I was having serious withdrawl. Dont smoke dont drink (anymore) and stopped buying ringtones to save money for meds.

On a person side note- Image

Hi ladies,

Thought I'd join this thread, since my cycle will straddle both Feb & March. I start my stims on 2/26 (hopefully) and have a tentative ER date of 3/12. This is my second IVF cycle (first one was a chemical).

Here's to a bunch of healthy Thanksgiving babies! :) (my PMA is flyin' high!).

Hi ladies... didn't realize how much I looked at this board each day till it wasn't here.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Sam and miyaya - I posted on the other board, wanted to say how sorry I am that your BFP's didn't stick.

Supergenuis - Welcome to the board.

bei - Glad to hear your mock transfer went well. Soon you will be doing injections. sure you can't wait.

Turtle - a snow day sounds fun. I don't get paid when it snows so I try to make it into work and save my vacation time for when it is sunny out.

Hope everyone else is doing well. March will be here before we know it. I am still messing with lawyer and financial stuff. I have thrown a big boomerang at the financial coordinator. She can't figure out what to charge me since we are doing a double cycle and I have some insurance. Hope she comes up with a good # soon because I hate waiting and not having plans finalized.

Good Luck to all

Hi everyone! Man, the board was down so long and I missed you all so much.

misocial/Marci The mint green tea is working out very well for me. Doesn't upset my stomach like the coffee did and I think it tastes pretty good. Glad you are feeling better also. Hopefully your AF has arrived by now, don't know what she is waiting for. :?

rlk1 Sorry but I can't tell you how Avatar was. I ended up getting sick last Thurs and was sick the whole weekend so we didn't end up doing anything. I know, what a way to spend Valentines Day! Now poor DH is sick too. Of course he thinks he is dying. I know you have been feeling down about the BFN from last cycle but dont worry I know this cycle will be a lucky one for you.

tohavefun/Chris Thank you for the wonderful info on the Metformin alternative. Right now I'm feeling a lot better, but if I start feeling cruddy again maybe I'll ask my RE about it. I hope that all the "redtape" with your double cycle gets cleared up.

tameka94, miyaya, & supergenius Welcome to the board! We are happy to have you all here and will be there if you have questions or need someone to lean on.

rayofsunshine I wish my weekend had been as fun as you hoped it would be. Unfortunately, I got sick and then passed it on to DH. I hope your conferences where painless and I'm so excited that you wont have to become a pin cushion like the rest of us. I can't wait for you to be the first of the BFP this month. :D

kaybei Welcome and how neat that you are a nurse and training in the OB area! I love watching TLC's A Baby Story, but you get to do it in REAL LIFE. 8) Don't be afraid to ask your RE if you have any questions about your stim drugs or about your cylce that's what they're there for. And of course we are always here.

samgarkay/samantha Of course you are welcome to join our board. Its never to early to hop on and these ladies are strong. We will be here whenever you need us!

Sorry if I missed anyone I had a lot of catching up to do (3 pages!). AFM- I had a break in my BCP from Sat till tomorrow then I'm back on them till the 6th with Lupron starting on the 2nd. Other then that nothing new to report. Take care everyone!

Yes its me...again!

Misocial I hear you about being addicted to the board. My retrieval date is suppose to be the week of March 22nd. I am doing an AF dance and saying a prayer that she'll come soon. I would be nice for us to have our retrievals around the same time.

bei Good luck with your Lupron inj. I must have missed your post last time. Sorry!

turtle0619 Looks like I missed you too. Where did you and your DH go skiiing? My husband keeps trying to talk me into going. Growing up in AZ I rarely see snow let alone think about going high speeds down a mountain full of it.

Heeellllooo ladies! I have truly missed ya'll :) My facebook page and this board changed on the same day-I had a serious meltdown that I couldn't get on but all is well again. Never thought I had such an issue with change

Marci-I am SO glad I had the chance to meet you and I am super glad you could use the meds. My DD has claimed the blankie and pillow. It was so nice of you to bring it, thank you again! The next time we meet up it will be for a IVF baby gathering. AF is an evil witch-couldn't she be a little more cooperative with all the hoops you are jumping through!! Hopefully she has the memo to get here ASAP for you.

Tameka-We are glad to have you join! The nurses sound great and you are so very lucky to have insurance cover 3 cycles (I'm jealous!!!) We are here to cheer you on, encourage you, answer Qs, and grumble with you when needed!

Samantha-I am so sorry  I wish that once you get through 2WW and hear the BFP that that would be the end of possible bad news. Welcome to the board-we are here for you!

Franny-It sounds like you had a great day with DH. I lived in Michigan for 8 years and never went skiing. I still have never been-I'm kind of a weenie about the cold weather and always imagine running into a tree or breaking a leg!) Love the snow days though

Bei-I haven't done acupuncture so I can't help with the schedule. Is this the first time you done it? I know a lot of ladies on the boards really feel it helps out.

Supergenius-I have already caught your high PMA-it's contagious!! I am really sorry you went through the experience of a chemical but I can just feel March is the luckiest month. Best wishes to you!

Chris-The financial part sounds complicated-I hope they get it figured out for you. Will the ET be at the same time for both of you in a double cycle?

hopeforbabies-I am so sorry you were sick all weekend! Did your DH take good care of you? Sounds like you shared the fun with DH. Why did you take a break and restart BCP? I haven't heard of that before. Conferences went well for me-I'm glad they are over! Now I can obsess over the next few weeks and this process!

AFM-Well, the donor starts meds tomorrow, hooray! I am on day 7 of estrodial (lots of blue   )We went on Monday and signed all the paperwork. On one part it talked about risks associated with different blood types between donor and mother. In bold print it said "I won't hold the clinic responsible for fetal death due to different blood transferring". Of course I didn't think about it until then so I freaked out!!! I am O negative and the donor is O positive. The nurse said it would be fine, that I would just take some shots if I become pregnant ( I did this with DD already). Drama, drama, drama! I thought it was a much bigger deal reading it so formally in the legal paperwork. Really, what is a shot or two? I know they are covering all basis but really...

Keep the faith ladies!
