Faith- congratulations!!very happy for you & family. God bless

JG - we are in the same boat! Mine was also abnormal but the doc thinks that by diet alone it will be better. I have increased my exercise and watching my diet. I love rice and I think I was over eating!
Hope your 3 hr comes back OK

My angel is going to be a swimmer/ sprinter but not a soccer player as she still does not like to kick. As soon as I eat she starts her activity as if when you give fish food to a tank full of fish!

Take care you all

May- Thanks, my 3 hour did come back just fine, so I can go to the grocery store again! Let me tell you, that 3 hour was no picnic! My butt hurt so bad from those waiting room chairs I had a hard time getting around for the rest of the day! I'm glad it's over and grateful that it came out fine though.

Lucky- What did you do in CA? Any shopping?

gi- How's your cycle going, did you start stimming yet?

deftones- How did your GTT go?

mjay- How have you been doing? Any IVF plans in the future?

Allie- Haven't heard from you in quite awhile, how are you doing?

Faith- How are the triplets? How are you doing? I saw that you were in the hospital until today, is everything okay?

Not much new here. Today is officially my third trimester. When we were getting ready for work this morning, I asked my husband "do you have anything to say to me today?" and he kept trying to think of what it was. He did say "Happy 28 weeks" first though, so that was close enough :-). More doctor appointments next week and i'm seeing the specialist on Wednesday, so i'm excited to see how big the babies are and what percentile they fall into. My regular OB does an u/s, but just checks for heartbeats really quick, so we don't get the in-depth ones until we see the specialist. Hope everyone else is well!

Glucose test went good . . . I get the results in a few days . . . the drink wasn't as bad as I had thought . . . makes me think I'll fail the test . . . oh well . . . blood pressure was a little high, but protein was negative . . . don't think I have pre-eclampsia, but maybe jsut a few nerves about the test . . .

third trimester starts week 27, right? or is week 28? I've read it both way . . .

DO y'all like the look of the new board?

We have the most posts out of all the board! yay for us =)

Gi- Wow, that's great news! I'm sure that this next cycle is going to be successful! Good luck with your ER (next week?) and keep us posted on how it goes! I'll be praying for you. I'm just so happy that they were able to figure some things out for you and hopefully solve some problems before they went forward with IVF and now I just know it's going to work!

deftones- I've read both ways too, I just figured since I was 28 weeks, that no book could say that I wasn't in my third tri! I'm just so happy that we've made it this far and it's becoming even more real now!

I've been feeling more twinges and pains here and there which always want to send me running to the doctor, but i've held tight so far. My shower is in 2 weeks, so i'm so excited to see everyone. My mother in law is throwing it, and she said that some people are even coming from out of town, it just makes me so happy! Plus, all the cute little boy and little girl stuff, ooooh I can't wait!!!! :-)

Hi Everyone,

Just got back from a quick trip to London. My last travel during this pregnancy in a plane, I think. I had a great time, although it was for work, and will be off for maternity leave already in 6 more weeks. Time is flying.

I took my glucose test at an edocrinologist on Feb.8th. My results came back without any concerns according to the endocronologist. I asked for a copy of the lab results to takwe to my prenatal appointment on Feb. 17th. Once I gave these to my Gyn, he looked concerned and immediately told me I had to go and be put on a diet because I have gest. diabetes. My test results were 85/181/119. Then he told me during the US that the left umbilical cord arterie was not as functional as he would have liked, the baby was too little at 750 g (at 26 + 5 days) and that her thigh bone was a bit short for the fact that my DH and I are normal height. You can imagine I was thrilled. :( Called my endoconologist right away after the appointment who said that I definately do not have diabetes and that the Gyn must have had a bad day. Even my PCP said this as well. It is the second time in my pregnancy that the Gyn has had varying opinions from other docs on lab tests I had run. I am getting a second opinion next week to have the clinic at which we have decided to have the baby run the test seperately again. I have now calmed down but my trust level in the Gyn has really diminished. He just seems to have either very conservative views or be out of his mind.

On the other hand, baby is kicking strong and we have now almost completed all of our baby shopping. More later.

Hi Everyone,

Had my follow up at the Hospital. They confirmed the diagnosis of gestational diabetes, even if just by 1 point for the 1 st hour testing. I have to get my diet regulated tomorrow and then another ultrasound for them to check on the baby. Good times.

Faith - How are the triplets doing?

How is everyone else hanging in there? It has gotten very quiet here lately.

All the best.

Lucky- I'm sorry about the GD. At least with a regulated diet, everything will be fine. Although, I don't know how I would do it. When I had to be careful with sugar for the day with the 1 hour, I didn't know how I was going to make it! Of course, it figures that i would have to put together bags of candy for students that day and at work, someone brought in all kinds of goodies. It was like torture! Hang in there, we don't have much longer to go. You're quite the world traveller these days, aren't you? :-)

gi- You should be either at ER or in between ER and ET now. Good luck, i'm thinking about you all the time and I just know that this time will work!!

deftones- same thing happens to me with BP when I go to the doc. They always have to retake it after the ultrasound and it always ends up fine. I get so worked up right before an ultrasound that I think they should know by now to wait until the end!

I'm sure Faith wouldn't mind me updating you guys. From what I have read, she was released from the hospital earlier this week and the babies are still there and all three are doing well. Leah needed surgery on her heart, but she's recovering very well right now.

I saw the specialist today, not much new, they seemed to be in a hurry to get me out of there, even though I was there waiting for 2 hours. Babies are growing well, Baby A is 3 lb 3 oz and Baby B is 2 lb 12 oz (lucky, I don't know how that converts to the metric system!!!). Both are head down today, which explains the pressure, but on Monday, they were both transverse, so we'll see if that stays. I have my shower next weekend and i'm really excited! The nursery's all done too, we're just waiting on the chair that we ordered way back in December. It'll probably come in any day now. How bout you guys, any showers coming up or nursery news?

Hi May Moms!

I just wanted to pop in and say hi. I am so glad you all are doing great and can't wait to hear the good news of your babies birth. GI, I can't wait to hear the good news of your cycle too!

My DH has decided that he's had enough heartache...losing our little Brooke in December almost broke him. I could try and try for another little one, but deep down I feel blessed with our DS, so that's okay - we'll just be the 3 musketeers!

Blessings and prayers to you all!

Gi- I read your post on the IVF board and I just wanted to say CONGRATS! I'm soooooo very happy for you! This is your time and it's going to happen, I just know it! Not only have you have been through so much already and totally deserve this, but you have no more killer cells to worry about, so hang in there and keep smiling because I just know this is your time! Sounds like an October/November baby for you!

Cheryl- I'm so happy to hear from you and glad to hear that you're hanging in there. Let me know if there's anything you need at all!

mjay- Results? I'm jealous that you're finishing grad school, people keep asking me when/if I will go back and I don't know what to tell them.

deftones- I know what you mean about the activity, i feel like i've got a war going on in there between the two of them! I'm always having to push body parts back in because I get elbowed or knee'd (how do you spell that word, anyway?). It's fun and really weird at the same time.

Not much going on here. 30 weeks and going strong. I work at a community college that has a sonography program, so the instructor asked if I can come in so that she can do a demonstration for her students and it gave them a chance to try their hand at it. Anyway, she kept talking about gas bubbles in Baby A's intestines and how there was a lot of it (this was not supposed to be diagnostic at all, just for fun!) and then she asked if my other appointments and scans have been normal because it seemed like an excessive amount of gas. Well, that pretty much freaked me out, so when I got back to the office, I called my doctor right away. A nurse called me back and put me at ease for the time being and I have an appointment with my doc on Monday, so i'll see what she says, but I'm not as worried about it as I was. The instructor just kept bringing it up and acting like it was super weird, she couldn't have freaked me out more! I have my shower tomorrow and i'm sooooo looking forward to seeing everyone and all the cute baby things!

Gi - Congratulations! Should be a good charm that it is due on your birthday :) I wish you all the best and keep us updated.

JG - I am not surprised you were freaked out. I would have been, too. I am sure everything will be okay on Monday.

AFM - I feel paranoid also. I went to my diabetes set up yesterday as the doc had noticed that my morning empty stomach values were quite high, so she wants to still put me on insulin, no diet as the daily values are fine. I completely freaked out and probably had stress levels up there. Then the baby did not move for about 3/4 of a day. So right after my appt at the diabetes clinic in the hospital, I went to th get a sonogram done. Turns out, she just turned and was pinching my sides when she moved, which felt a lot different. So I feel totally ridiculous coming in for nothing. The doc said that was okay and in 99% of the cases nothing is wrong, but the 1% where there is, they could already take the baby now and she would be fine. It does, however, appear as if my baby is too little and about a week behind development again. I have to say, I think I am going to be so happy when she is here and the worrying is on a different level - as I guess it never ends.
