Hi Ladies

I was hoping to join this thread. I am really hoping to have my FET in April. I am currently on BCP and we are going to see how it goes with my cycles. I am currently, and have been having a foul vaginal odor and we are trying to find out what this is before my FET. It is an ammonia smell, so I will have some tests done soon. I had it when I was pregnant before and it has never really gone away. I have a long IVF history and to make a long story short. DH and I have been through 7 IVF cycles. We are truly blessed with our son Jack from our 3rd attempt. We have had 2 BFN, 1 Chemical and 2 m/c. I am emotionally drained and know that this is absolutley our last attempt and then we are moving on to adoption. We have 2 frosties left, so I couldn't not give them a chance, but we are self pay and broke! I am 28 and DH is 27. DH has 1% morphology and I have eggs with issues, although we don't know what they are. I hope you all get your BFP this cycle! I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Hello! I've been on the Jan/Feb cycle board for a while. My cycle was cancelled because the dr said I was a low responder. I was very upset but came to the realization that it happened early in my cycle so I'm looking forward to beginning again soon. It looks like this is going to be my new home!! I'm waiting for AF right now. Hopefully at the beginning of this week and I will be starting injections at a much higher dosage. I'm looking forward to lots of BFPs for all of us! :P
Me 33, one tube removed the other blocked. Daughter born 2002. (M/C 2005)
DH: 35 perfect

1st IVF: Jan 2010-canceled due to poor response to the meds :-(
2nd IVF: March, ER-2 follies, both fertilized, both went to ET,

Hi everyone!

Sorry I disappeared for so long. I knew it would be difficult to keep up, but I will probably be here more now that I am in the middle of it all rather than waiting. Thanks for everyones welcomes! And I did finally get my medications. I have been on lupron for almost a week now. I didnt really have any side effects, until today. I think it may be because today is the first day I didn't take the BCP? Not too bad though. Although, my inlaws were in town and all I wanted to do was hole up in my room.

I was pretty happy with myself and how easy the injections were (the needle is so small, I cant even feel it)....but last night discovered an UGLY bruise on my stomach....I think I had accidently broken blood vessles....ooops. Luckily I have plenty of space on my stomach for the rest of my shots. I have my first blood test/ultrasound on Friday and then start stimulation meds on Saturday, Feb 27. Is it normal to do Follistm and Repronex? I haven't seen anyone mentioned repronex.

misocial - I had a problem with metformin too....thats some evil stuff. I am glad to hear you are doing better with it. I found that if I made sure to eat all meals at the right times and ate a tiny bit before going to bed I felt A LOT better. I think that stuff really messed with my blood sugar.

bei- I think we are doing this at the same time. My retrieval is supposed to happen around march 8.

I really hope that I will keep up with this better.....Sending everyone warm thoughts and warm weather.

Hello ladies, I hope everyone is good! I will be postponing my cycle to one month later after DH and I discussed the night before starting Lupron. We called the clinic the following day to let them know about our decision. They also allowed me and my donor to keep taking the BCP until the assigned date which is 2/26 and then take the 7 sugar pills to let AF come before taking the BCP again after that. We'll then take about 3 weeks BCP to see how my body and mind progress before determining when to take Lupron. I need a lot of PMA now because I'm sick and is recovering from my anxiety attack, plus I have cold symptoms with low-grade fever, and hopefull it will goes again. Need lots of PMA and Prayers! I'm pretty down during this wait time, thinking of I might not meant to get pregnant after 15 years and still keep seeing ladies around me get pregnant first. What's a disappointment today? Have a good Sunday! Sweet dream and good night!

Hi, I have tried repronex last time when I didn't have regular period but discharge or bleeding every day. RE then gave Repronex to me. I'd never had Follistm before.

Hello Ladies, thanks for the warm welsome. Sorry I haven't been back since the intro, but it has been a BUSY week!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I went in for bloodwork and sono and I SITLL only had 2 eggs, so the Dr started me on Ganirelix and Menopur, but told me to discuss with DH the possibility of canceling the cycle if we only had the 2, and that it was totally up to us. We decided that if it was just the 2 we would, in fact, cancel.

Fast Forward to today, and we have 2 MORE eggs! I have a 21, 19, 13 and 12. The Dr said we should go throught with the ER and that we could even have 1-2 more by Friday when we do the ER. I went from being very mad and very sad, to being SO hopeful. Almost so hopeful I am scaring myself! I NEVER get this excited, but I cannot help it this time. I am doing a double dose of the Menopur, but keeping everythig else the same.

I hope everyone had a great (and fruitful) weekend!

Happy Monday Morning to all, hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. I am feeling a little better, or at least I was....

Monday Morning ***** and gripe
Went to RE's office this am for SnS as requested by nurse on Thursday.
Receptionist says "You're just having lab work right?" I explain that I am also suppose to have u/s.
Go in for u/s and the gal says I have cysts/follicles on both side with a dominant one on the left.(2 weeks ago I had none)
She further states "I don't know if they are gonna wanna start you on meds with a dominant follicle". ( it's BCP)
Then off to the lab where the tech can't find a vein, when I asked her what we were checking today she replied " I dont know your nurse is not here yet". Okay WTH, who does know? and why is she drawing a tube of blood if she does not know what test to order? Feeling very frustrated this am, oh yea and today starts a week of 11 hour days today. I need caffeen.

Love to all,

Happy Monday everyone! It's a bit gloomy out today but the snow is FINALLY melting here in Cincinnati. Anyone else live around here? I'm so over the snow I can't even stand it! Hopefully the warmer temps will stay and Spring will be here soon. I had my US and BW today for day 5 of stims. I have 8 follicles so far that look really good. I'll be doing 225 of Gonal-F all week isntead of alternating 225 and 150. I guess we'll be going out with a bang. I can already feel my ovaries as of last night. I forgot how heavy they get! I go back in on Friday for US and BW - and will probably be doing ER on Tuesday, 3/2. That puts me at Friday for a 3 day transfer. The ER is creeping up already - it has felt so far away for so long now.

misocial - how frustrating! I think everyone that works at an RE's office who comes into contact with patients on a normal basis should have a basic understanding of how a typical cycle of IVF runs. The other day I was doing my basline before starting stims and was at the counter waiting for my paperwork from my nurse when I overheard another med tech talking to a patient next to me. This patient was clearly new to the practice and was probably going through IUI with injectables for the first time. They told her when to trigger with her Ovidrel injection and asked her if she picked it up ok at her pharmacy (I guess they did not offer her mail order which is crazy because it's 1/3 of the cost than going to walgreens!) and if she was keeping it in the refridgerator. She said she picked it up ok but did not know to put it in the fridge. She had it in her purse with her. Suddenly she is nervous that she just threw away $150 and the med tech can't tell her how long she can keep it out of the fridge. Instead of telling them they have 30 days, I looked over and told the tech to call freedom tech and ask them. She ignores me and continutes asking other staff who all tell her 30 days until she decides on her own to call the pharmacy to find out. Should't she know these things by now??? Very basic stuff! We are going through enough to then have to deal with RE staff that doesn't know answers to basic questions.

DrBoots - don't fret about your follicles. If two more have already popped up, then I bet you will get at least one more by trigger. Keep positive thoughts in your head!!

Everyone have a fabulous Monday!!

Resolution to Monday Morning gripe:
Re's office called to say we are a go to start BCP, I will take then for about 3 weeks then SnS to see where we are, then MEDS !!!!!!! Image

Yes there are cysts/follicles and get this...my E2 is 162..lol.. thats higher than it was after 7 days of stims...Thanks Lupron.
Anyway I am better now. Hope all is well in the lives of all my cycle sisters.

heekinje I dont understand the alternating doses, what was the reason behind that? I am not in the big C area with you but I am in Kansas, just outside of of Kansas City and we are totally DONE with snow as well. The tv reported today that this area has not had this much snow since 1962... I can only imagine that you, being further north have alot more than us. Look at it this way, you stay home more, spend less money and snuggle more. See its not that bad. :D :D

dodo928 Glad to see you will be sticking around, there is comfort in large numbers!!!

latrell22 I too was cancelled in
jan, broke my heart, crushed my soul. The wait for AF sucks... I will be done with her tomorrow so I will send her your way. Sound like you and I may be going about the same time. Yea team March!!!

Bei -

The only side effects I feel from using Gonal-F are the anticipated ones - heavy feeling ovaries, bloated and some headaches. The more full my ovaries get the more they ache a little. By the time this weekend comes around, I will be ready for RE to be here to get them out! It's really not that bad though - and totally worth it!!

Misocial - I'm not sure why they did alternating doses. The only thing I can think of is that during my first cylcle, I did the first 5 days or so at 225 and then he switched me to 150 for the remainder of my stims. I guess he is trying to achieve the same result as last time. My RE's office does not like to share data during a cycle unless something has gone wrong or there is a difficulty. They don't like the patients obsessing about the data (like we already do!) and want them to just relax and focus on getting pregnant. Anyway, I'm glad you got the green light to start bcp! It's one item to cross off your list!!

Hey every one hope everyone doing well

3 Day Transfer:

1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

5 Day Transfer (if your transfer is done on the 6th day please adjust according to the timeline based upon how the embryo was doing by 1-2 days {e.g. blastocyst was hatching from the shell}):

-1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
6dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops

Neffi211- I hope they are able to figure out what it is. And that your FET goes well!

Latrell22- So sorry to hear about the low response. Welcome and I hope AF comes soon, so you can begin your new cycle.

VictoriainAZ- Good Luck this Saturday!

Dodo928- I hope you are feeling better very soon

Misocial- Ouch, that sounds like a ROUGH Monday! I hope your Tuesday is going much better!

Heekinje- Good Luck with the ER

Bei- Thank you for all the work you have done.

What a roller coaster ride this is! So we are canceling our cycle. We only have the 4 eggs and the Dr thinks we should switch to IUI. But DH and I have BTDT and he has 3% morphology, so we don’t want to waste our time. So we are going to can this cycle and start BCP next week. The Dr is hoping by starting me on BCP (2 pills a day) after I O, that it will help with me not making eggs (I tend to have an egg by CD3!)

And then if my body does what he wants it to do, he will begin me on the max of the Follistim. They all keep telling me how young I am, that I should be responding better, but I’m not. I am hoping because we are jumping right back on the train that we will still be in it for late March or April. (I REALLY don’t want to fall into May/June as we have a family vavcation planned and it is my busiest time of year)

Good Luck ladies, I’m not gone, I will check in from time to time, to see how you are all doing. Thanks for the warm welcome.
