I am looking to try a FET cycle in April / May. My first IVF cycle was a success. My DS is 17 months old. My second IVF cycle was last summer and I got a BFP but miscarried at 8 weeks. I have a total of 4 frosties left and I am scared to death. Please give me some success stories with FET. Also, explain the process? How long does it normally take?
Thanks

We were cycle buddies last july/aug and sadly we both m/c, i often wondered how you were. That last cycle for me was a FET, here in Ireland i went on meds to build up my lining for 2 wks then had transfer of 2 embies - both survived the thaw it was so easy and less intense though the toughest time was wondering did the survive the thaw. Thankfully we got pg but mc at 10 wks as i have elevated NK cells. I will keep an eye out for you and pray you get you little baby xxx

Its TRIPLETS!!!!
I have ONLY had success with FET's. After many failed fresh cycles we switched to freeze all cycles. The first attempt resulted in my DD and now I am currently PG with twins (from one frostie!). I still have 20 eggs frozen too.
FET's are MUCH easier on the body than a fresh cycle. You only need about 2 u/s and b/w appts and then you go in for transfer (for me I got my period 11/1 and my transfer was 11/20). No stims to make you moody and bloated. No recovering from ER. It is also easier because you can tell your RE's office exactly what day you want to transfer and they will make the schedule around that. Then depending on what your doc advises you rest for a few days after transfer (although studies have proven bedrest is a bunch of b/s in fresh and frozen cycles). I did not do bedrest, just hung out at home for 2 days then back to the normal grind of taking care of a toddler. Good luck!!
IVF/ICSI 3/07 Froze All 36 eggs

20 Frosties left
I don't have a success story, but think we should keep this thread going. I am also looking at a FET in April/May. I had my first round of IVF in January and got my BFP. I miscarried at 5 weeks and 5 day on Valentines Day. Hearing about others success especially after a m/c is very encouraging. Right now, I am waiting for my hormone levels to go back to 0, then I go for a f/u with RE. I need one regular cycle after all that before I can start on FET. I am hoping for late April but honestly it will probably be more like early May.
Samgarkay my old cycle buddy i wondered how you are doing, i know stupid question, but i hope you are recovering well i know how hard it is to go thro. such joy of getting a bfp then to mc but am glad you feel able to move on so soon i had all my appointments booked for next cycle even before the d&c was carried out it gave me something to focus. I am 2dp3dt and have to admit i hope i wont need to join ye for a FET but i will be keeping an eye out.

Its TRIPLETS!!!!
I am scheduled to travel to the RE in Florida in June (relocated since having my first IVF). I am trying to figure out how much time I need to plan for. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am EXTEMELY NERVOUS!
My beautiful daughter is the result of much love and a FET!!!! Our first cycle was a bust with none left to freeze. Our second cycle was great...we transferred 3 and froze 8! I got my BFP but sadly miscarried at 7 weeks. I was one of those girls who thought, "how can this frozen cycle work when we already transferred our best fresh embryos????" Well, for our frozen cycle we thawed 4, all 4 survived, and we transferred 4 (I know, sounds risky but my history justified this decision). We got our BFP and our DD!
Frozen cycles work, even after lousy cycles and miscarriages.
Rooting for you!
Me: 35 no known issues, DH 35 low morphology (2%) and low motility, bilateral vericocelectomy
IUI with clomid #1-#3: all BFN
IVF#1: BFN
IVF #2: M/C at 8 weeks
FET #1: BFP! DD 2 yrs old!
Trying for #2 soon and anxious again...didn't think I would be.
We are. We only have one frostie . If we can save enough money we are going to do a fresh but if not we'll go for FET. Dh has been out of work because of shoulder surgery so that hasn't helped in saving $$.
Hello ladies, I am hoping I don't have to join you I am in a bit of beta hell at the moment and hoping that all is good on Monday when I do a repeat beta but if I do I like the idea of a board where we are all doing FET's since they are different than fresh cycles. But if I don't get great results then I am afraid I will be back here again for another FET, I have four frosties left & I guess I will transfer all four & just to be done with this roller coaster ride.
Good luck ladies, I will be praying for you

How about late March? I just did a FET on March 20th and now I am in the 2ww and the wait is driving me crazy. I have no idea what normal is- I keep thinking that my AF is on its way but I am not sure if she will arrive on her own if I am on estrace and progesterone.

MamaBoo - Did you take estrace and progesterone? Were you crampy before you found out you were pregnant? Doesn't anyone know if your AF is inhibited?

Hopeful - yes AF will be inhibited until you stop the progesterone. That's the signal for AF to come, a drop in progesterone. Cramping and feeling as though AF is coming are common early signs of pregnancy. Look at it as a good sign! Enjoy being PUPO!
I had a FET on 3/23 with 2 - 5 day blasts. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but have no idea if it worked or not. I don't feel pregnant at all this time. But some women have no symptoms at all. It ain't over til the fat beta lady sings! Lol.
Wishing you all sticky snowbabies!!!
