Ugh. I'm so jealous. I don't get mine until halfway through my seventh week. 13 days from now! I'm not near my clinic so I can't get in that easily. I see my (new) family doctor on Friday and am hoping he orders an early ultrasound to ease my wait. Major good vibes for you!

I would like to join your group! I'm 8 weeks pregnant with twins and cautiously optimistic. This was our second IVF cycle and the first ended in miscarriage around 9 weeks, so I'm praying we get through the next few weeks safely. I've had two u/s (one at 6w5d and one at 7w5d) and saw both heartbeats both times. I have my first OB appointment tomorrow and am going to try to convince him to do another u/s sometime between now and 12 weeks. I'm looking forward to going through all of this with you!

Hi Mauree! Welcome! I am glad to see another twin mommy here. I am 6w5d with twins. We had our first u/s last week and saw 2 heartbeats. We go back on 3/5 for our next u/s. I will be 8 weeks then. I am cautiously optomistic too. I hear about losses all the time and I worry about it everyday. This is our first pregnacy making it past 4 weeks. I had a chemical on my 1st IVF.
Did you have high betas when you had your m/c at 9 weeks? I was just wondering.

I am feeling ok. I have on and off nausea, but nothing too bad. I feel really hungry all the time and want carbs carbs carbs. I am trying to be good, but it's so hard!!
do you have any morning sickness?

Hope everyone else is okay. Good Liuck Karenthescorpio on your u/s on Friday.

Talk to you all soon!!

Hi Mauree! Welcome to the group - we love new members in our little home away from home. LOL

I think that all of us with losses are a little scared. I know I am. The thing is, we have great chances of success. Please do share your beta numbers with us...

I don't know what my beta numbers were like at that time. I didn't even know anything was wrong until we tried to hear the heartbeat at 12 weeks. An u/s showed that development had stopped around 9 weeks. I was on progesterone, so my body hadn't figured it out. Definitely going to push for an u/s before the 12 week mark this time!

I don't have any nausea, but I'm hungry all the time, especially first thing in the morning! I feel dizzy for a second every now and then too.

I hope everyone else is feeling well!

My initial betas were good last time too. First was 600-something at 16dpo, so that's wasn't any clue. I think the chances of m/c go way down after a heartbeat is detected, but we just weren't lucky. Everything happens for a reason though!

Hi Ladies - Just quick post to say that 3rd beta came in at double in two days - 1127! Whoo hoo.

Due date is Oct. 27th - Might have to think of Halloween name. Kasper? LOL.

First u/s will be on 3/3. I'll be 6 weeks exactly on 3/3. Can you please tell me - did anyone else have u/s at early 6 weeks? What did you see?

DH and I went to Target baby section last night and ooohed and aaaahed. He checked out the Baby Bjorn and said - I think I could handle that. And he pointed to the Diaper Genie and said, We'll definitely need to get one of these. So cute, I loved it. Bought a little teddy bear - couldn't resist.

Thanks Merri!

PS - Am feeling hopeful so I added a ticker :P

Hi ladies. So, I went this morning for my u/s (one day early) due to the insane amount of snow we are getting. My DH told me just go today and see if they will do it so I wouldn't have to worry about the weather tomorrow morning (since it is suppose to be awful tomorrow AM). I couldn't believe it...the RE saw TWO sacs! OMG. Two sacs! One is 5mm, one is 6mm. He didn't see the yolk sac yet, but he said that half the time at this early stage (5 wk, 2 day) he doesn't see them all for sure until week 6. So he demanded that I not worry (yeah, right). I told him I'm more worried that my HCG isn't higher since there are two sacs. He said HCG can vary and that he was not worried about anything he sees right now. OMG...twins! I'm praying with all my might they both stick around. I'm demanding that the universe make these babies strong and healthy!!!!!!! I am awaiting the phone call with my bloodwork results. On pins and needles! I'm trying to keep up the PMA...man oh man, it's very hard when you constantly have to live in the grey area. I just know I'm so thankful for my pregnancy no matter what. I really am! Will update when I know more!

Katie- yeah for the great u/s report! wooo whooo! I was worried when you were MIA! So relieved you and baby are ok! woooooooo whoooo!

Yay! Another twin Mommy! Go Karen! Keep positive thoughts and don't worry about betas.
My first u/s was at 6w and they barely saw the yolk, etc. they saw little flicker heart beats but very hard to see. Betas vary for everyone!

So, Merri, you should be able to see the sac, yolk and fetal pole at 6w. Possibly heartflickers too. Good luck! Can't wait to hear the news.

Wow! This is so very exciting for everyone.!

It's so wonderful to hear all this great news! I'm excited to have other twin mommies in this group too!

I had my first OB appointment yesterday and he agreed to do an u/s in two weeks - whew! It's going to be a long two weeks (seems like we have a lot of those)!

Hi all - Just a quick update. I spoke to my Dr. yesterday and she said that the only thing that they should see for sure at our u/s next week at exactly 6 weeks is a gestational sac of the right size - one that measures for 5-6 weeks. We might see yolk sac, fetal pole, and heartbeat...they would appear in that order. So I feel a little better knowing that if we don't see the heartbeat that it doesn't mean that all is lost.

Merri- Isn't it worrisome the small, microscopic baby steps they make us take now that we are pregnant! It's making me nuts! I had my u/s yesterday at 5w2d (one day earlier that scheduled due to snow storm) and they only saw the gestational sac (two actually!!!!). No yolk sac yet. RE said he's not worried b/c it is so early. So I return for next u/s on Sunday to see if the yolk sacs developed. Of course I'm on pins and needles but keeping my mind positive and uplifted. How are you feeling otherwise? Any other symptoms?

Hi Karen - I know I saw your post - Twins OMG. You must be so excited/overwhelmed. Just think you could be done this time :)! I think this waiting time is just as stressful as the 2ww, esp. since for us since this is when things went wrong last time. But I am pretty confident it will work this time around - I don't know why, I just am. I love when you talk about 'putting it out the Universe' because I TOTALLY do that, too. I tell the Universe (the trees, the streams, across the oceans, the air) that I am ready to be a Mom and I am joining their life force and I am claiming these two (hopefully two!) souls and they are mine :-) Don't mess with me Universe :-) LOL.

No other symptoms - just tired, a little nausea but not so much or so strong I would call it m/s, some cramping...recently my nipples have begun to feel a bit more sensitive and just different. That's it!

Hi everyone - I have been posting to Katie99's Winter 2009/2010 thread but thought I would put something out here too. Like a few of you I am also expecting twins - October 7th is my due date. I "know" several of you already and am so glad that things are working out for many of us.

So far I have had two u/s - the first was at 6w6d because I had some pretty heavy bleeding that ended up just to be a clot. Then this past Tuesday I had my first OB visit and just went out on a limb and asked for a u/s. The doctor said sure and the u/s tech was available so I had another one. So far things are looking good. We know both babies are girls because we did PGD. We have a 3yo DS and I am very excited to tell him he is going to have two baby sisters. We are waiting on telling him because he has been telling us he wants a baby and would be really upset if anything went wrong.

I'm slowly accepting everything though I remain pretty paranoid. I have another u/s next Friday and then another one at 12 weeks. If all of that goes well I think I'll finally let the past go and really be excited.

Rae - I think I saw you on the post regarding high betas and twins. Looks like our numbers both ended up to be right on the mark. :D

Talk to everyone later.
