Take it DAY by DAY! I think if you try to just keep busy (I know easier said than done) before you know it your test date will be here. My last transfer I wanted to do HPT REALLY bad, especially since I had NO symptoms WHATSOEVER! I was getting very nervous and just wanted to know, but I think more often than not it would not show correct result! Best wishes to you and good luck! BTW, I am in 2ww as well, and def. had thoughts of maybe doing an HPT this time, however, I am afraid and will keep my mind and self busy! :)

Hello,

I had my 3rd FET on 2/15 and for some reason I am so relaxed and this is the first 2WW that I am not losing my mind. I have had a few symptoms and now that I am 9 days past a 5 day transfer I took a HPT this morning and did get a positive result so I am excited to see what my BETA is tomorrow!

Hoping for good results for all of us in the 2WW.

Hi ktelise,
Congratulations! What wonderful news :) I just had my transfer this past Saturday, my BETA is 3/4. If you don't mind me asking, how many embryos did you transfer and do you know what kind of quality they were? I had "3" transfered, one 6 cell, and I believe "2" 4 cell, one with some fragmentation.

1Dawn1 - We transferred 2 ebryos and both were 5 day embryos of good quality. Past that I do not know too much...we had a total of 12 embryos that made it to the blastocyst stage (I am assuming this is all 8-cell) all with grade "A" and "B" quality according to my clinic. I never asked anything past this. I do get pictures of each embryo at each transfer and find it interesting that they all look so different. I miscarried after my 2nd FET so I am happy but know this part of the journey has just begun.

One thing my doctor said that I found comforting regarding the embryos, "you can't judge a book by its cover." He says they transfer excellent embryos (I had 2 of these transferred during my FET, BFN) and the patient does not get pregnant and then they transfer what they think to be fair embryos and the patient gets pregnant with twins...this shows that science does not know everything! I hope you and others find comfort in this as well.

Good luck on your BETA. I will keep you all update after my BETA tomorrow and you do the same.

Will keep posted. Good luck tomorrow! This is my 4th FET. I did one frsh cycle that was a chemical, several years ago. After that I had enough embryos to do 2 FET with good quality blasts, both BFN results. My 2nd IVF, we ended up having to freeze all embryos due to over stimulation. So, 3rd FET was with a new clinic, transferred "3" 2-3day embryos and got a BFP. Son was born 6/12/08. This 4th FET decided to transfer "3" again because of the history... Looking forward to a positive result :)

My BETA results are in...BFP with a 140 BETA. I am excited but am being careful due to the last 2 miscarriages I had in which I also had very similar BETA results. I go for my 2nd BETA on Monday so will keep my fingers crossed for good results. I have however learned that BETA results can misleading for me...I had great BETA results all the way up until the miscarriage so I am being cautious with this pregnancy.

Wish me luck and I pray that we see a heartbeat this time around!!!

Good luck to all of us!

Anyeone still in the 2ww? I had a FET last Friday 2/26 and am going craaazzzyy!!! I did IVF 3 years ago and had a BFP and now have a wonderful 2-year old little girl so this was using the 3 frozen embryos from that cycle. We transfered all 3 but they just weren't nearly as good as the quality we used with our last attempt so I am having such a hard time staying positive. The first time around this board really helped me keep a positive attitude so I'm hoping it will work again! Beta is 3/10 but I am already wanting to POAS! Agghh!!

Yep, I am going for BETA tomorrow! My son from last FET will be 2 in June. The embryos we used were from the last IVF I did and the same as you, not as good of quality as what we first transferred, and we transferred 3 as well!!
Wishing you the best of luck!

I'm in my 2ww, only 4dp3dt. I transferred 3 embies. They were all 8 cell, two were Grade 3 out of 4 (4 is best) and the other one was a grade 2. So all had some fragmentation to some degree. My last cycle I had two perfect grade 4 8 cell embies transferred and it was BFN. So I'm having trouble thinking that these could work since they were "worse" quality. My beta is Wednesday 3/10. Technically, I wouldn't really be able to see a positive HPT until maybe Tuesday anyway... so I decided I'm not going to POAS this cycle.

Dawn -- Good luck tomorrow on your beta!

ktelise -- Congrats!

pep23 -- I'm in the same boat as you... beta 3/10 and having the same questions about quality since my last transfer with high quality was BFN. I'm not going to give in and POAS though...lol.

1Dawn1- GOOD LUCK tomorrow!!

lou- Hopefully we will both get a BFP on the 10th!

I didn't POAS the first time but this time I will be getting the call at work and I don't think I can handle it emotionally without some sort of idea what to expect. So I think I will probably POAS Tuesday night just to mentally prepare myself...but then I worry I will jinx it (silly I know  )

Oh Dawn I'm so sorry :( things didn't work out this time but it sounds like you are staying positive and that's so important to do...even though it's hard sometimes. I am thinking about you and your DH!

Thank you pep23. Yes, I am trying to stay positive and what was meant to be will be. Hopefully our clinic will help us out somehow with one more FET.
See, the embryologist never received my file when she should have. When I called them the Friday before my transfer, since I had not heard from them yet, she said she never received the file or the thaw would have started on Thursday. Well, at 2pm on Friday she started the thaw, but not of the ones they would have used if the file was received on time! I told her I was a little nervous since we were probably not going to try again becausse of the $$. She told me that if it did not work to talk to the doctor and or nurses, explain what happened and maybe they would help out someway?? Well, I mentioned it to the nurse that called me today, so we'll see next week when the doctor calls me back what they say.
If we can not do it, like I said in my earlier post, we are blessed with our DS who was born to us from FET on 6/12/08, after 1 failed fresh cycle and 2 failed FET's. He is the best and I can look at him and everything is great!
Good luck to you pep23! Looking for a BFP :)
