Franny - Thanks so much. Yes at this point is is really really hard to think that this will work. April will hit my 2 yr mark of messing with IVF crap. I think I had my first ever lupron shot around the same day I will go for ER this time around. I could have never fathomed back then that I would still be on this stupid roller coaster ride. It is just really hard. Like you posted earlier, every cycle I debate if I will join another cycle group. It is not easy seeing that stupid BFN next to my name with all the BFP's. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for those who succeed but I still wonder when it will be my turn. o'well enough about me. Sorry to be such a downer.
As for you, I would be yelling at that nurse. I have always heard the repronex and menopure was the same thing. Why change you now and also why say you might need the repronex for another cycle? Just doesn't make since. Plus neither is cheap and would be such a waste if you have all the repronex left. As far as the TV thing goes, I still get pissy with all the PG people on TV. Good thing I don't watch that much TV.

Franny, I am on Menopur and am going to most likely end up with 9 or 10 vials left over. Apparently it's working VERY well this time around. I started on 150 daily (with 150 Follistim), but they switched me to 75 Menopur since I'm stimming so fast. Good luck.

Chris, I cycled with you before. Sorry that were both on here again, but I am really rooting for us both!

AFM, had my day 6 u/s and e2. This cycle is going really fast, and it looks like I will trigger tomorrow. I had one follie that was 17, and a few others just a little smaller. My follies have been known to grow 6-8mm overnight, so tomorrow looks good. My e2 went up 150% to 1045, so I think it should be fine tomorrow. The problem is my lining. It's only at 5.8. I've had this problem before, of my lining not looking great, then it turns out fine. But I am also going a lot faster this time, so I am not sure the lining will catch up. Praying it will!

Good thing they ended up starting me on stims a day later than expected. Hubby is in Vegas until Saturday so he would have missed ER! Hoping he doesn't miss his flight home if ER really is Sunday for us.

Well. I have not been permitted to stim yet due to the size of the cysts on my right ovary. I will continue on Lupron at the current dose of .2cc. I go back to RE for b/w and u/s next Thursday. I went to the ivf center today for tests. My RE has his own practice but is affiliated with a IVF center in DC. He is a very hands on doctor and wants me to come to his office so he can review before medication change. Normally, I would go back to center for tests. Since he has done a few surgies on me, he is very familiar with history is I know he is concerned because this development is new. I guess that is why we are closely monitored to prevent damage or further issues. I didn't even want to hear about blood work since I am continuing on Lupron alone. I know I am still early in this process for my initial ivf cycle but still cannot stop tearing up. DH is cooking dinner for me and I have several tasks to complete this evening but don't feel like doing it. . I know this is a small delay since I am not stimming or near ER/ET. I know God is good and have faith but still a little disappointed.

Franny-you are sOOO right!! I feel so connected to so many women on these boards and share intimate things about myself and what I'm going through that I haven't even told family or friends! Yes, my family knows that I'm doing IVF but they don't UNDERSTAND the emotional toll or the terminology so it's hard!!! Yikes for bad BCP side-effects!! I actually don't notice any when I go on BCP but then again I was on for almost 8 years before going off 2 years ago!!! I said that AFTER this baby (or babies) that I will get with IVF I'm NOT going back on BCP's and I'm going to let mother nature take her course!!!

Chris-I'm glad you are back on the boards and you and your DH have come to an agreement and you feel less stressed about worrying about your sister stimming and her cycle. I have such hope for you and DH and my thought and prayers are with you!!

Katie-YAH for lurking on our thread!! I am still in limbo between this thread and Jan/Feb thread but feel with all my delays this is the one that is more suited for me although I too have been following your progress. Spotting is scary and just try and keep your feet up and drink tons of water and notify your RE if it gets heavier or red. xoxo

Tameka94-so sorry about the delay. I feel your frustration but at least they caught it early and you weren't cancelled TWICE the day before ER like me!!!! Hope your cyct goes away and you can start your stimming ASAP

Kim-I LOVE the idea of you naming my embabies!!! Once I finally get to be PUPO I give you the honor!!!!

i am surprisingly not as bloated as i expected to be. ovaries are definitely bigger though. last cycle i was feeling like a land whale by the end of my stims.

Drboots - fingers and toes crossed that your BC does the trick for those noisy ovaries.

hopeforbabies - thanks. SnS went well today and those follies are growing fast!

to_have_fun/chris - welcome back, you're not too far behind. most of the ladies have not started yet or are just starting.

afm, SnS this morning showed some crazy follie growth. i have on average 12-13mm follies, but a few that are in the 14-15mm range (only a couple days ago they were all <10mm!). so i'll be triggering sometime this weekend w/ ER either Monday or Tuesday. e2 is at 829, so that's all good. my menopur dose was actually lowered from 75 to 50. i'm not complaining, but it is weird to not be super bloated this time around (with follies this big). i should keep my trap shut - i'll probably wake up tomorrow with a belly 2x.

Franny-Thanks for the link, I'm so bad I watched crap tv and didn't bother to watch the news. I really don't need one more "worry" with IVF. I think your right too-if we don't know what causes autism we can find links in many places. So glad I've got a fellow "crap tv" fan and I will watch the office with a tissue handy. I torture myself and watch baby shows often-why oh why?! I will start a collection for your cable bill-you can't be without your baby in a box and definitely can't go without tv! Your office has me confused-it would make sense to change after attempt one if Menopur is better and they definitely should have discussed this at your consult. GL at the baby party-the questions get annoying but most people just don't get it.

Libby-Things are moving right along! Yah for trigger and ER next week.

latrell-I had to go the donor route after two canceled cycles due to understimulation. I'm 2 days away from ET and it is totally worth it! I think you just have to decide what your dream is and what you are willing/not willing to do. Best of luck!

Claudia-We'll take 7.2 but do the dance for 8 still! I know it will be such a long, dreadful wait until Tuesday. Hang in there we are all cheering for you (I have no rhythm so I think I'll just scream and yell instead of dance!)

Tameka-I'm so sorry for the cyst/delay. With all that we have to endure it would be nice if our bodies would just cooperate. I hope this will be better for you soon

babyluv-I'm doing the same screaming and yelling for your lining-GL with trigger tomorrow!

DrBoots-I did the max dose (I think 450 follistim and 250 menopur) and went on BCP for 5 days my last cycle. I didn't produce more eggs but my doctor felt that was a better chance than the previous cycle. I think it works for many people who go understimmed with the other protocol. Best of luck that this is the right combo for you!

Chris-It sounds like you've had to make some tough decisions-we all need some money to fall from the sky so that never causes problems in this process! I think the 23rd is the perfect day to start stims-it's my birthday so it has to be lucky!!! You are with Claudia and the rest of us that have been on other boards with only bad news-nothing but smileys for us here!

Marci-No let up at work? Can we demand you get a raise or at least a parade in your honor? The board looks great-my DH gave a nervous giggle about the "two". Funny how are minds work-I am worried this won't work at all and DH is worried it will work "too" well with twins. Wouldn't I be so lucky to have such a problem!

AFM-All 7 embies divided and are still A quality. I go at 7:45 on Saturday. It still cracks me up that they want me to come with a comfortably full bladder-there is no such thing. I've got to pee every 10 minutes so this could be interesting

AFM Woke up with the migrane I get 3 days before my period.... this is concerning because I am on BCP till the 15th, if I get AF early will I get cancelled ??? Just a little freaked out and the med I took for it has me fuzzy headed. I also woke up with what looks like a bite/boil. 2 of them in fact, one on my waist one on my butt cheek. TMI I know but my PCP is concerned about which antibx to give me, I have had this twice before and antibx are the answer. They seem to come on during extreme stress....like working to death.... Alot of antibx mess with your BCPs and I am already worried about that situation. I here I sit at work, trying real hard to remain calm and not work myself up...... I think I need a starbucks caramel frappicinno no whip extra shot... if anyone is going out !!!

Good Morning/Afternoon

Well the nerves have officially kicked in. We are suppose to be at the dr office at 12:30 for the transfer. I was sitting here about an hour ago thinking my little embies are thawing out right now and I began to pray that they all make it. We will not know until we get there. We are putting all 3 back if they all make it. (Fingers Crossed)

I just read the post with the picture of the roller coaster and can I just say that is exactly what this process is.

Take care ladies. I will be in touch as soon as I get home. 48 hours of bedrest here I come. DH is BBQ'ing tonight. YUMMM. It is beautiful weather here in TX and a beautiful day to become PUPO.

Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I just found out that my first cycle of IVF was a BFN. I think I'm still in shock, 'cause I'm happy about starting my next round. I just got off the phone with my nurse, and she said we'll start BCP when this period starts, and then stims approx mid April with retrieval end of April. So, here we go! To "celebrate" my BFN, I'm going out to eat with a friend who also has infertility issues and is saving up enough for her first IVF round, and then I'm going to a basketball game with my family. No time to think sad thoughts!

Here's to BFP's all around!

chris Glad you and your DH decided on what type of cycle you would be doing. I can't imagine that was an easy one at all. But at least you have your game plan to follow now and can relax about that.

Franny How weird that they would not have tried the Menopur already. I hope it does work better for you since you are having to buy it when you already have so much Repronex left over. I am suppose to be using the Repronex so maybe I will ask my RE about the Menopur if it is suppose to be better.

babyluv YAY for TRIGGER TODAY!!! I will pray that your lining thickens so your embies will have somewhere nice and warm to snuggle into. So is your ER on Sunday or Monday?

Tameka Don't lose your PMA yet like you said its still early in your cycle & I'm sure the cyst will go down. Don't feel bad for crying as I know the delay is frustrating. Let the tears/frustration flow. We are here for you to lean on!

Claudia I was on BCP for a long time too and dont think I ever want to take them again either. Here's hoping Wednesday comes fast so you can be PUPO!

Libby Wow you arent kidding about fast growing follies! Thats really good news and I'm glad you are not uncomfortable. Make sure you let us know when you trigger & when the ER is expected.

Sara I'm so glad to hear that all the eggs are still doing so well and tomorrow is the big day. Hurray and sticky baby dust to you!

Marci I dont know if they will cancel you for an early AF so I am praying that evil witch misses you. Sorry for the boil as that doesn't sound like fun but on the plus side I had to take antibx when I was on BCP & my RE said it would be fine. Try to get some good R&R in this weekend and by the way...all this talk of Starbucks is killing me!!!

Miner_79/Chris Yay you are PUPO today Snuggle into your Mama's warm womb little ones! Mama Miner make sure to enjoy that bedrest and I'm glad that DH is going to take good care of you. BBQ sounds awsome (insert drool icon).

AFM - I take my last BCP on Saturday and am still feeling pretty good on the Lupron so I think DH and I will work on putting in our veggie garden this weekend. Plus my dogs need a bath pretty badly. I have a bloodhound and boy does he get stinky (insert barf icon) if you don't bathe him regularly. Happy Friday to all and have a nice weekend!
