Babyluv- Congrats on the lining and all of the eggs! And yes, I agree quality is better than quantity! Have a fun visit.

Tameka94- So sorry to hear about your delay, but getting away from the daily grind of IVF can be quite rejuvenating!

TammyS- Good luck, I hope it doesn’t interfere with your Easter.

Hopeforbabies- I have my SnS on the 12th as well. Good Luck, I hope you get great news! You are so lucky to be able to start gardening early, I have to wait until May! And we just bought a house that is in a shroud of shade, so we are wondering if we should cut some tress down, we’ll see.

Supergenius- You are an egg making machine!!!!!! I hope you get a A+ on your report! 


Sessford- Congrats on being in the 2ww! I am waiting to do my first “full” cycle this month as well. Welcome!

AFM- Still on BCP, have my SnS on Friday, hoping for good news and I can begin my stims on Monday! Great to see so many in the 2ww already, hoping to be there soon myself!

AFM: I am really crampy. It comes and goes and it almost feels as though I am going to start. Not sure if this is a good or bad sign??? I think DH ate something bad but he is feeling much better now. Thanks for all the concern. Take care ladies.

question for anyone with more experience than my 1 cancelled cycle:

As we all know I was cancelled due to oversuppression from lupron...
this time we are doing no lupron, antagonist protocol, but they are doubling my menopur.....
I am afraid that I will then be overstimmulated not to mention the difference is an extra 1450.00.
Has anyone ever had this situation???
Would I be wrong to call my RE and say I want to try it again at the same dose ??
I am not trying to be cheap.....but it is alot of money and I am concerned about overstimulation.

Any advise or even personal thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello ladies, I just drop by today to say 'hi'. I'm still waiting for the recovering period. Hope to see everyone getting BFP! I'm on Zoloft now calming my allergy and other physical symptoms. I started to add Buspar which I asked my doctor to let me try it. I know it's catogory B and safe to take after transfer. I tried for 2 days but no luck. My physical symptoms came back in the last 2 days and I knew it's not right for me. I stopped taking it yesterday afternoon. I'm feeling better on the symptoms today. Unfortunately, I have had diarrhea since last night after coming back from dinner. It's so boring of keep having physical symptoms. I just hope that this 2 months can fly and I can cycle again. And congrats to everyone who's BFP! Will check back later!

Marci - what are you taking with the Menopur? Follistim? I think Follisti
is similar to Gonal-F. My 1st cycle I was doing 600 Gonal per night for 12 nights. The 2nd cycle I did 150 Menopur mixed with 450 Gonal f for 13 nights. But I am slow stimming, so had no issues. Your insurance does not cover any of your meds, huh? That sucks....I don't know how you all do it!

Marci - I just read your other post. I am confused...For my cycles I got put on BCP for 2weeks starting on 1st day of AF. The pill stopped AF, and after 2 weeks I stopped the pill, which brought AF back...basically changing my cycle and allowing me to start tx sooner. Then I started the Menopur and Gonal F on 1st day of AF. I never heard of taking BCP while doing stims???When would your ER be about?

lauren I am on BCP now, but AF came anyway. They said to continue BCP till 15th, starting stims on 19 if SnS ok. May get AF again when BCP stops on 15th.

You are NOT going to believe me when I tell you that I might get CANCELLED AGAIN I went in this morning for my SnS (drove to the office 45 minutes away where my RE was doing morning monitoring) and she looked at my lining and saw FLUID (CM around my lining). She said this was usually caused by a lot of Estrogen and I have actually had fluid around my lining before that went away after a few days but she said that once starting the progesterone it should have gone away.

She said she was going to cancel me and I was like "is there ANYTHING we can do to save this cycle?!!?" She said our only option is to push it to a 5dt (I have two 5dt embies and 9 3dt embies) and up my progesterone. I go back in tomorrow and if fluid came back she will most likely cancel but if not then we will continue until Friday and monitor every morning....I swear this roller coaster NEVER NEVER ends!!!!! Anytime I get happy news it is immediatly followed by bad news.

I'm holding out some hope that the fluid doesn't come back and even if it does I'm going to have her drain it again and keep going until Friday just to see if there is any chance it improves. The waiting/nervousness continues so I will definitely keep you all updated.

Lauren: Sadly, we'll only be transferring one. I only have one blast left in storage. So...the odds are against me, but I'm going to try to be positive this go-around! I mean, 25% chance of success is better than 0%, right? So is your FET tentatively sheduled for the end of March?

Misocial: Sooooo glad you had a weekend to yourself away from work!! Also, not to worry you...but since you asked, my first IVF cycle was cancelled because of a combination of overstimulation and other factors. My estogen had risen too sharply after only 3 days of stims and they were worried about overstimulation, so they decreased my meds. Well, the next day my Estrogen had dropped dramatically. My RE cancelled the cycle because she said that my eggs would be of very poor quality after such wild ranges in Estrogen levels. Again, I hope I haven't worried you. I honestly think the cancellation was more from the DROP in Estrogen than fear of overstimulation!!! Did you talk to your RE about your fears? I say call him/her. Lord knows we're all invested so much in this process (emotionally and financially), the least our REs can do is answer any questions we might have!

Sara: Congrats on being PUPO!! How many did you transfer? The 2WW is sooooo hard, but we're here for you while you wait!!!

dodo: Sorry to hear that you're still battling this illness. I really hope you feel better soon!!

Claud: Noooooooooo!!!! That is sooooo frustrating!! Let us know how things go tomorrow--I'm thinking of you and praying that the fluid disappears. ARGH!!!!

claudia grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! fluid?? what the hell?? i dont understand why this keeps happening to you, but i am so sorry. you shouldnt have to go through all of this stress just to get to your ET! so she drained the fluid today? if it comes back couldnt she drain it right before the ET? or are they worried that it will come back after the ET and harm the embies? this isnt fair at all and i'm so sorry. i am praying that everything will work out and you'll be PUPO on friday! please come here to vent, scream, cry...i am here for you!! dodo hi sweetie! i'm so sorry you are having such a hard time finding a balance to your body! it sounds like its starting to get better, and i hope you'll be back to feeling 100% normal very soon! so are you looking at a may cycle now?? i'm always thinking of you and i cant wait to see your bfp!!

marci i am also doing an antagoinst protocol again (this is my 2nd antagionist) this time they are starting me off with 2 days of just gonal-f and upping the dose to the highest, and then on day 3 of stims they are adding menopur to the mix. i am a horrible stimmer so they pump me with the most aggressive approach all the time. for you i would say they are going to try to be more aggressive at first for your cycle since you were undersuppressed last time...and if your follies are growing growing growing they will lower your doses. i think its alot easier for them to lower your meds during a cycle then have to increase them and hope the follies start growing after 5 days of stims. i hope that makes sense. sometimes you have to just trust your RE and try not to stress about everything. they are trying to find the right cocktail to make a beautiful baby for you!! the money part sucks!! i'm so sorry! but you dont want to have any regrets in the future so i would go ahead and order the extra meds!! good luck! only a few more weeks!! i'll be right behind you and i cant wait!!!

miner79/chris we have 2 chris's on this board so i have to use your screen name too! dont worry about the cramps...i'm sure its just a combination of still feeling sore from the ET, and PIO side effects! i think its way to early for you to have any pregnancy signs yet, but dont worry....you'll be feeling them soon because you're gonna get your BFP!! when is your beta anyway?? hang in there....the 2ww sucks sometimes, but we are here for you!! i'm glad dh is feeling better!

afm well not much new here. my pharmacy said they should get the pre-approval from my insurance company so they will be calling for their money sometime today! wooohooo now i get to play the "what credit card will get me more air miles, and not get denied" game! hahaha so much fun!
for the people who asked about the birthday party..it wasnt that bad at all. luckily it was pretty small, and when i found myself in a conversation that was leading toward baby talk i just pretended i needed a drink and walked away haha
there was also a couple there that just got engaged so i spent alot of time talking to them about wedding plans...i knew babies wouldnt come up with them!! hahaha! the baby who was wicked cute btw seems to really like the jam band toy i got him so that made me happy!

Kim Sorry that your family lives far away and you don't have anyone close by. Do you usually travel to them on holidays or do they come stay with you? All fo my family lives in AZ, but my DH only has his mother here. I am glad your estrogen shots are almost done. One less needle to worry about.

Libby 17 eggs is amazing! Make sure to tell us how the fertility report turns out. I'm hoping all 17 fertilize for you. How many do you plan to transfer?

Lauren Weird that the ins. would count a transfer as a full cycle, but at least they will cover as many as they do. I'll keep my fingers crossed your 3 frosties thaw beautifully.

Marci I find it strange that they would have you take 2 BCP at once. I have never heard of that I thought you could only take one at a time. I'm glad you got your calendar but I would call your RE if you have any concerns about your cycle. They are there to explain all your options and to put you at ease that they are doing the best to make that baby for you. Glad to hear your nurse came back so you aren't as stressed at work. Just hang in there for the ER/ET vacation you have planned.

Sara/sessford I saw that we have a few Saras now so I will add your screen name too if that's ok. I wanted to welcome you and tell you congrats for being PUPO. When is your beta?

Drboots I hope you do get good news on Fri. What type of stims will you be doing? Do you have an estimate for ER? Mine is around 3/22 and I'm wondering if we are on the same schedule. May is only a few months away and will give you plenty of time to plan where to put your new garden & take down some of those trees.

Chris/Miner From what I've heard cramping can be a good thing during the 2ww. Glad that your DH is feeling better. I would say I'm doing the stop rain dance, but as I live in AZ we will take all the rain we can get.
