IVF with intralipds, LIT and Humari - Ghost/Anyone

Hello all

I have had 3 miscarriages and 4 failed FETS. I recently had a consultation and some blood work done and I have been told that I have NK cells and issues with leukocyte antibody (I am still getting my head around the terminology). I was told that if I want to do IVF again I will need to be on intralipds, LIT and humari ......these are all extremely new to me.

Has anyone had IVF with the above.....???

The docs at my clinic don't accept the hypothesized effects of NK cells on IVF.

I recently changed clinics (from Ireland) as i have had 4 failed attempts and 2 m/c, i got all the blood works done and I too have elevated NK cells my new clinic uses Intralipids for this and they say they have had great results with it. I had my 1st session done after 1 wk on stims and my next session is this wednesday (1 wk after transfer), they have also put me on steroids, clexane, aspirin, antibiotics, metformin for polycystic ovaries (also only diagnosed at new clinic). I do know that some clinics dont do these things unless fully proven but my clinic have the highest success rates in Ireland and also one of the top in Europe so i am going to trust them ( also at this stage i will try anything). These tests were taken here but shipped to Chicago and under their recommendation they think Intraplids should be used. My bloods were tested on rats embryos and apparently i killed everyone of them!! Intralipids is just protein, soyas and fats its supposed to try seperate the NK cells and transfer them elsewhere in the body and prevent them from rejecting embryos and feutus, I will keep you posted how i get on.

Gi - I was in touch with you a while ago...you may/may not remember? I live in Dublin too and am a patient at the clinic where you are now. By the way .....CONGRATS TO YOU .....pg all will go well for you, stay 100% positive, I will keep you in my prayers. I had another consultation this week and they are recommending going with a cycle with antibiotics for myself and hubby, metaformin, steriods + intralipds...plus all the regular stuff. Plus a endometrial biospy a month before the cycle. I am undecided about trying again. age is hugley against me.

Not exactly. I'm saying the hypothesis has not been proved, and that my clinic does not buy into it. We have our reasons, which I cannot reveal here and now.

Hey joyanna,

Course i remember you, I can understand what ghost is saying as there are lots of clinics who wont use them but the Sims have an excellent success rate in Ireland and do a lot of research and hell i will try anything at this stage. I have to trust my doctors, i have another session on the Intralipid on the 18th and i am on all the same meds as you are till 12wks. Please God we get that far if I do i will post back to you.

Ghost totally understand your reasons not to mention why now, (actually as i am on all those meds i dont want to know as i am terrifed enough as it is!!) my old clinic didnt buy into it either but i suppose desperate times comes desperate measures!! Anyway your opinion really means a lot to us ivfers and we are sooo thankfull to have you xxx
