Karen - WOO HOO! Two heart beats! That must be so surreal!

Katie - Yeah, still the same hurry up and wait game, I don't see that ever changing. You think being an Army wife I would be use to it by now, but sure enough it is easier waiting for my man to come home from a deployment than it is waiting on these darn results. lol I should hear something by close of business which is 2 more hours. Could time go any slower? BLAH!

DH keeps texting me asking, "Anything yet?" Of course he would be the first to know when I find out, I think he is more anxious than I am at this point. lol He is so hoping for twins, but I don't see that happening. I just want healthy whatever I get, I am sure that is what we all ask for. I have been feeling a little nauseous the past few days. Not sure if that is a symptom of pregnancy or a result of anxioty. :? I have been pregnant before with my ex husband and never felt m/s, but go figure it would be the love of my life's baby that would make me sick.

So after commenting that it was a slow weekend on here, I see this thread had a growth spurt and put on 3 pages in about 24 days!

Welcome to ktelise and Hope644!

ktelise - so happy that your u/s yesterday went well!

Hope644 - you seem to have your hands full at home already, so I'm not surprised you're feeling exhausted! The frosties question is currently a moot one for me, as out of the day 3 embryos we got from fresh cycle #1, one was used for our BFN transfer and the other two got frozen but failed to thaw when we tried to do a FET. This second fresh cycle, we got only one blast at day 5 from all 8 eggs, not a great ratio but my BFP is proof that it only takes one! So we don't have any leftover frosties, but when we thought that we might do, I was of the view that once DH and I were finished building our family, I think I would want to donate. And since having met Katie on these boards and seen what a precious and wonderful gift donated embies were for her, I'm even more of that view.

Ashley - good to see you back on here, hope your m/s is behaving itself and not making life too miserable. By deli meats, do you mean cold slices of beef/ham/chicken etc? I've read that you should try and eat meats hot through, not cold, but to be honest I've been buying sliced meats for sandwiches at home and I can't honestly believe that from a good quality supplier, it's going to be a problem. Oh, so cute that the babies were wiggling their arms - when we had our 11wk nuchal scan, the baby seemed to be asleep and stubbornly refused to move at all! Thanks for the information on nosebleeds, I think I had read somewhere that it can happen becuase of the increased blood in our systems, but it's good to be reminded so that a sudden nosebleed doesn't come as a shock! The other thing I've read is that it's fairly common to get a stuffy nose as if you've got a cold, and I definitely feel like I have that most nights when I'm in bed. During the day I'm fine though, weird. Yep, I'm definitely getting a belly now, my jeans won't do up anymore but I'm not big enough for proper maternity wear so I'm leaving the jeans zip half undone and doing the waistband up with an elastic hairband! What a fashion statement...

Katie - oh no, another day of not feeling good yesterday, I'm crossing my fingers that it was the tail end of a stomach bug and not m/s, believe me I wouldn't wish m/s on anyone after the 7 weeks I've had. Thankfully mine seems to be sticking to the new pattern of better by day, bad from about 6pm onwards, but that I can handle. Oh, and the answer to 'how are you suppossed to get things done when feeling like this' is "with great difficulty!". That's when you need to have a DH who will understand if you get next to nothing done all day (other than lie in bed or on the sofa trying not to vomit!), leaving him all the chores for when he gets home even while he's done a full day's work! Joya is doing OK, thank you, I think the pad is slowly starting to dry out and knit together a bit, but I think it's going to take another week to 10 days.

Stephanie - argh, don't you hate the stress of being late/not being able to park/other people rudely stealing your space, and why does it always seem to happen for the most important appointments? How frustrating that the labs didn't get done as well, hope they hurry up with that phone call to make up for it!

Sarah - pleased to hear that all is going well, and this pregnancy is being kinder to you than your first! Sorry to hear that you aren't able to go down your preferred midwife route, but on the bright side if they class you as 'high risk' that'll mean more scans and opportunities to see your baby!

Karen - yay, you heard the little heartbeats, how amazing!

AFM, I had a little shopping trip today as I figured that I ought to get around to buying a maternity bra, not because I think I've grown in that department but because I've read everywhere that you shouldn't wear underwired bras when you're pregnant (can cause a blockage in the milk ducts, apparently) and I don't possess any bras of the non-wired variety. So I decided to get a bra fitting, and confidently told the lady that I'm a little bigger but don't think I'm that much bigger than I was before (which was a 36B - I think US sizes are the same as in the UK?). Uh, not quite, apparently I'm now a 36D. D???? I never thought I would hear that letter applied to my boob size! I'm still in shock...

Take care everyone - I'm off to visit my parents in the morning, back on Friday afternoon, so I'll catch up with you all at the weekend.

Hi ladies - it sounds like things are really starting to hop on this thread.

Sonya - Again, I am so sorry. I too have been in your shoes (as a result of clomid pregnancies) and it is hearbreaking. I will completely understand if you need to take a break from this thread. We will support you no matter what.

Katie - good to hear from you. I'm feeling OK - having another one of those freak out weeks where I have myself convinced something is wrong. And regarding the deli meat thing, when you go to your OB you will get much more information about everything you can't eat, medicine you can't take, etc. It can be overwhelming but manageable.

Stephanie - I really hope you get your test results soon - I hate that you are having to go through all of this - the situation is stressful enough!

Karen - so happy for you and your TWO heartbeats - welcome to the twins club!

ktelise - great news on the u/s and heartbeat - isn't a great feeling?

Sarah - glad things are moving along with you. I hate that you can't do the midwife thing if that's what you wanted but maybe in the end it will be for the best. Of course I hope you don't have any "high risk" symptoms this time around.

AFM - I'm just generally having a neurotic week. Tomorrow I go to the OB office to have a visit with the nurse practitioner. This is something my OB office does for every pregnancy. The catch is that when I had my miscarriage at 12 weeks, I had gone to the nurse practitioner visit and she tried to hear the heartbeat with the doppler. She warned me it might not work. We didn't hear anything and I didn't freak out too much. That was at 10 weeks exactly where I am now. So then at 12 weeks I went in and they said the baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks. So you can probably see why I am so anxious. My DH is probably going to go with me tomorrow and if she can't hear the heartbeat with the doppler I am going to insist on a u/s. Of course I have been freaking myself out with everything - I'm not showing but feel like I should, I have a headache which in the past has happened before a miscarriage, I ate deli meat and now something is wrong. Hopefully tomorrow will calm my fears......

On a positive note, I am now done with Vivelle patches AND PIO!!!! Yipee! My RE said to go to 10 weeks which is tomorrow but I happened to run out of PIO last night so figured it would be fine a day early. Now maybe I will be able to sit down without feeling like someone used my bum as a punching bag. :D

Did I mention how much I hate this hospital? :x No call, the clinic is closed, the lab is closed, no answering service, no way to page the Dr who ordered the hCG. These people have no clue what we go through in waiting and I doubt they care. My best bet is to go to the ER, wait for hours to be seen and hope they can look up my results or do something. My anxiety is getting worse now. I hate Army hospitals!!!!

Hi Ladies,

I know it's waaaay early for me to be here, but I need somewhere to go next! For those of you who aren't on the Jan/Feb board, I had my first beta today 11dp3dt and it was POSITIVE (136). I'm in total shock and going to take it one day at a time. So as for today, I am pregnant. So I'm hopping on this board unless a medical professional tells me I'm not.

I recognize a lot of these girls from Nov/Dec. It's great to reconnect and share experiences. I just read all 9 pages of this board to get caught up. I'm too tired for personals tonight, but they're coming soon.

So glad to finally be on this side of the boards!

Ok... so I got fed up and had to know SOMETHING so I went to the ER. I used my nausea and high BP as an excuse to go. The Dr was not an OB but did an abdominal US. He said a transvaginal one would be too invasive. It was easy to see he didn't know exactly how to even use the machine and was not confident about finding anything abdominally since I am so early on. However..... we saw the sac and the yolk! Then he moves a little bit and sees another sac!! Could it be twins??? DH started to tear up. Not sure if that second one will be a baby or not, I am happy with the one I know is there. Exciting to think we could be blessed with two though. Needless to say I feel a lot better, my anxiety has greatly diminished. I think I can make it without much worry (of course I will still worry a little) to the 8wk US. If I am lucky, maybe telling my PCM that the ER found two sacs will be enough to get her to order a real US and I can find out more. It was a long wait and my day was a stressful pain in the arse, but at the end of the night... it was all worth it!

Lou - So glad to see you here! YAY!!! :D

Lou- YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so darn happy to see you joining us! wooo whooo! Wasn't your RE/nurse the one who said you would only get 4 good eggs very early during your stims? Man alive, see how much they don't know (even though they do know quite a bit, too!). Congratulations! :D

All you other pregger ladies, when did your RE say they are reducing your PIO dosage? Mine asked me to cut mine in half and I'm kind of worried. Dont know if I need to be, but I do know progesterone is vital to sustain a pregnancy. My nurse said my Progesterone level was 40. No idea what that even means. They said they want to "ween" my body from the PIO, so they don't do it cold turkey. But I just worry it is too early. Or am I over reacting? What is your plan for PIO dosage reduction?

Hope everyone is doing well and feeling good. I have had

Hope everyone is doing well and feeling good. I have had moderate nausea on and off. Nothing that a snack doesn't help, but it does kind of stink. Makes me feel yucky. Oh and seems like all I want to do it sleep. But it is sooo worth it. Whatever it takes!

Stephanie- wooo whooo! Possibly another twin mommie on the board! So happy for you. And I also understand the lack of urgency some people have when reporting lab results. I've been there! Congrats! :D :D

karen - Thank you! :D Not sure what my RE plans to do. I was told I would have to just keep taking my progesterone and my esdradol. I took that as indefinately, thinking the whole pregnancy I would have to be poked in the arse. Not exactly sure now since they really didn't specify. I will ask when I go there for my 8 wk US, but that is still 2 weeks away.

AFM - So my PCM finally calls me this morning with the test results. My numbers were over 15,000 at would be 26 days post ovulation... if I did my math right and I think I did. I went to that betabase.info place and the median for twins is 11,000 something. I am still in the normal range for a single baby of course, but when I told my PCM that the ER doc thought he saw twins, she ordered a real US. I have to go and schedule it with radiology. I called and they said they should be able to get me in pretty quick. Gee.. I hope pretty quick is TODAY! Yeah, I can't wait to find out for sure... one... or two? Even though we don't know, DH is taking the (very bad) pictures that the ER Dr took to work with him today. He is beaming! It is so cute!

Thanks Karen! Yes... I actually DID only get 4 mature eggs from my last cycle. 3 of which fertilized and I transferred all on day 3. I guess three is my lucky number  My progesterone level was also 40 and they said they were happy with that. I don't know how long it's normally continued but I think it's for the first 10-12 weeks normally. My clinic had me order enough to last me 8 more weeks right now. Ugh! I hate them. But at least I know now I'm doing them for a reason.
