Hi there girls.... I'm not sure exactly when I'll be doing my FET, but I suspect sometime in May or June. We went through our first IVF and I got a BFP with great betas, but had a blighted ovum at my 7w5d u/s. We were crushed, and are wanting a bit of time to be ourselves before starting again. I just started miscarrying this morning with help from meds. I suspect it might be 5 weeks or so before I get my actual period, taking us to the middle of April, and I think we'll just do things naturally for April, and if I don't get pregnant, we'll start the bcp for a possible transfer at the end of May or early June.

We don't have problems getting pregnant, but with my husband's work schedule and my age (38) we want to hurry things along, if possible.

I am trying to lose 20 lbs in the meantime - I had the lap band 8 years ago but have gained weight since starting all the drugs. I'm getting it tightened within the next two weeks so the weight loss over two months is not really that big of a deal with the band.... I'd really love to get to know you girls and help pass the time away together.

DandMe, I am so sorry to hear of your miscarriage. I had two chemical pregnancies along the way and they are heartbreaking so I can feel your pain. Its probably a good idea to take a bit of time and recover and then hopefully come May or June you'll be in perfect condition for your FET and fingers crossed your pregnancy!!

Tammy, Its only about 3 weeks until your FET - yeah!!!

Rio, did AF finally grace your presence - I sure hope so!

Tryn4#2, how did your appointment go on Wed. What did the RE say?

Hi to everyone else!!

Just waiting out this month for me. I am hoping AF arrives right on time (if not a bit early) so that I can get the testing started and hopefully finished in time for AF in late April - we'll see.

Today is the 7th day and no AF! They said within 5 days... I am trying not to stress out but come on AF! When you don't want her she comes, when you want her... I hope this doesn't mess up our cycle. I wasn't able to do a FSH test or anything else yet because I haven't gotten a period yet.

Kelly - how long did you bfeed for and did your AF come after you weaned?
Tammy - fingers crossed for you, how is Zach?
Dandme- so sorry to hear about your m/c, sorry what is a blighted ovum? I think trying things naturally is a fine idea ;) if you don't mind me asking, how long did you guys try before going for an IVF? Was this your first pregnancy? Again I am so sorry about your experience, big hugs and baby dust!

Hi,

This is the first time I have posted on here although have looked on and off over the years. I plan to do a fresh cycle either end April or end May (think it will be more likely to be end May for egg collection). Not sure if my history shows on reply but we had an ectopic ruptured tube after 8 months of trying so then had ivf icsi which worked 1st time (so lucky now i know) Lucas is now 3 (just last week 16th March). Since Lucas was born have had another 3 fresh cycles and some frozen - had another ectopic in same stump (right) and 2 mis-carriages - our last fresh cycle last December didnt work. I have had a positive result with both fresh and frozen which have then resulted in mis-carriage but also failed cycles on fresh and frozen and with frozen had to use HRT as my lining was not thickening up on its own.

I met the consultant in December and he has suggested we try aspirin and extra progesterone shots every other day from egg collection to try to maintain a pregnancy. We just tried this last month as we had one frozen blastocycst left so thought we would try that first..it didnt unfreeze..so its onto a fresh cycle.

Each time it doesnt work I feel extra blessed to have Lucas but I am going to be 42 in June. In the past I have always responded well to the Menopur but I always say....you only need one. Our clinic uses Nafarelin nasal spray to down reg, Menopur to stimulate, cyclogest for progresterone pessaries. I have just had an FSH test and hope the results are ok as I have not had this done for 4 years.

I talk to alot of my friends when I am going through the treatment but it would be really nice to have buddies who are going through the same thing as it is such an emotional roller coaster.

Nicky.

Hi Girls!

I'm hoping I can get to know all of you! Sonya, so glad that we are together on a board. Again, it breaks my heart hearing about your miscarriage, but hopefully I can help cheer you on in May/June!

AFM - DH was diagnosed with Azoospermia. Moved forward with IVF in January. Dr. Went in on morning of E/R and did a fresh testicular biopsy and didn't find any sperm. So, our whole cycle was canceled and they didn't do the E/R on me because we didn't have any sperm. We've done a lot of soul searching the past few months and have decided to move forward with donor sperm. We were going to try and do an IUI in April but for a whole bunch of reasons the timing is just not right for this month. So, we're looking forward to May!

I should start taking clomid around April 30th and expect the IUI to be around May 13...approximately!

Like all of us, DH and I have been TTC for 2 years now, so we are ready to get the show on the road!

Can't wait to hear from everyone!

Hi everyone

I probably will cycle in May/June. I have to get an HSG done next month ( FUN ). I had a hysteroscopy done which caused a vagal response and almost passed out  The RE never even had a chance to get pics, so I'll have more testing to do. We will be doin a fresh cycle and it will be our last. I was a good responder so this time I don't want to go to blast, I want to save every last embie I can. I had 15 eggs on low dosage of stims @ like 100 units of follistim daily. I do have a problem with hyperstim though, my E2 goes up very fast. I think that is why I had a BFN my first cycle, E2 was @ 6000 @ transfer. I'm seeing a new RE and is the only DR in the practice. That will be nice since the other clinic I saw a new face every time, which I felt made it stressful for us. I also want a sibling for my DD. We have been trying for 2.5yrs now, so there will be an age gap if we are soooo lucky to have another. I did get preggo with my FET and miscarried @ 5 weeks  That was a very sad time, didn't ever expect that coming but such is life, right ???? Well, hoping for a pleasant surprise cause my patience and $$$$ are both running out. Wishing baby dust to all !!!!!!

Gi - You are always welcome on any thread !!!!!! I've been good, time is marchin on, can't believe I haven't cycled in 4 months. Can't say I miss it, well the rush thinking "This could be it" cycle does get you a little excited. I haven't weighed myself in a while and been goin to a couple of parties with the best food, soooo I did cheat somewhat. Been goin to the gym 3 x's a week, on the elliptical doin over 3 miles each time. Sooo, it has to burn some of my blubber @ that rate . My clothes are fitting better, so I do see improvement. My RE says I can cycle now after all my testing is done, but I like losing my fat  I used to be a size 5 those were the days. After quitting smoking, my daughter, and IVF meds the lbs do add up. I never minded getting fat for my DD, but for these IVF cycles played havoc with my body. I do feel so much healthier, I had a rough pregnancy with my DD so if getting in shape sure to help. I must say I wasn't one who really enjoyed being pregnant. The first 3 months constant nausea. The 2nd trimester was good, finally wasn't sick and feeling good. The last trimester BP went up and my heart rate. I did not feel good @ all. How have you been ? Congrats on bein preggo, girl you soooo deserve this miracle :D :D :D :D :D You are goin to spoil this baby rotten !!!!!!!!! Please crash in cause I always looooved talkin to you. Lots of hugs

Nicky – Lucas is right in between my dad and sister! Sister’s birthday and March 15 and Dad’s is March 17! So nice to have spring birthdays! I’m glad you are enjoying your son! Sounds like it has been a long road for you. I’m so sorry to hear about your 2 miscarriages. That is just so devastating. Congratulations on continuing and moving forward. I have not had a miscarriage, so I can’t even begin to imagine that, but have had a lot of surprising and bad news through this journey. So, I can empathize with the courage that it takes to move forward. I am looking forward to cheering you on!

Sonya – Where are you sister? Looking forward to connecting with you again!

Jenice – sounds like you have a very good plan. So sorry about your miscarriage as well. This will be a great cycle for you! I just know it! I know, doesn’t the time fly…it’s like..oh my it’s been 3 months since all of this happened. It seems like yesterday sometimes!

Tammy – I love the name Zach! It’s my brother in-laws name. My husband actually named him. He was about 10 when Zach was born and when he left the birthing room everyone asked him…what’s his name…DH said Zach…totally made it up. So, it stuck! His poor mom and dad didn’t even get to name him! I think that’s hysterical!

Riogirl – Have you been able to complete your testing now?

Kelly M – Did you get AF and start testing? You are brave after twins! How much fun. I secretly would really like to have twins also 

Gi – thanks so much for crashing! Please crash away! I’m really hoping that this is my time. Thanks for all of the support you’ve given me! How are you feeling mama??

Hi everyone!

It has been nice to read everyone's stories and I wish you all the best of luck! I hope it's okay to join you, I will do a majority of my meds in April and the transfer will be in early May.
I cycled in February and it ended in a chemical pregnancy...major bummer. But we are set to begin anew with Lupron (hopefully, depending on my blood tests) on April 10. In the past I have responded well to the meds, so hopefully the same will be true this time.

DandMe...we are back together again...I hope things are getting better (with both you and your sister).

Jenice, I had a very bad reaction to HSG, sounds similar to yours...the worst was having to go back and do it again! But the second time, while it was uncomfortable, was NOTHING like the first time!

Hi May Friends!

I just wanted to pop on and let you know that I will not be proceeding with another round of IVF after all. My DH told me today that he just wants the two we have and doesn't want to try for more. I am devastated to say the least but what can I do - I can hardly force him to have more kids. Right now I am mad at him for giving me false hope and breaking my heart. I guess this is just another one of the many IVF disappointments in my life - and boy have there been many.

I wish you all success in the next month or two!

Hi Ladies,

I hope I can join you all here. I am moving forward with a planned FET sometime late April/early May depending on when my AF comes this month. Little about me, I gave birth to my DD more than 3months ago on my 2nd IVF try. I have one blast frozen from that cycle, I met with my RE this week and he seemed positive about it since i had my DD from that cycle. I had a very difficult pregnancy and almost lost my daughter at 20 weeks so having one embryo frozen works ok for me since i wouldnt be able to transfer more than 1 anyway, i just hope it thaws ok. So I did my bloodwork and will go for a sono and culture once i get my AF. Then I will begin Lupron and estrace and have the FET probably early May. This will probably be my last chance at pregnancy for a while unless it will somehow happen naturally lol. I'm all self-pay and if this doesnt work out I'll probably take a break and save up for a fresh cycle in a year or two.

I'm excited to get to know you all as this board was so helpfull when i went through my last 2 cycles. :D

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind me joining you here. I am about to start my IVF journey! A little about me, I am 30 DH is 30 and we have been ttc for about 16 months. After all the testing, scans etc.. it seems I have PCOS and my DH's sperm is really not good! My OB has advised that she will not do IUI as she doesn't believe it will work so we have decided to start IVF/ICSI next cycle! I have attended all of my required appointments and just waiting for AF to show her ugly face (hopefully the last one for a long time!) and then start with the meds once she shows.

I had a nursing appointment and she went through everything that needs to happen, a little nervous about it all to be honest, especially the op to retrieve the eggs, I think I have a phobia of going under! Anyway, I will do what needs to be done and hopefully come out the other end with a pregnancy!

If anyone has ANY advice on ANYTHING I would be grateful to hear it!

I wish all of you the best of luck!!
