What are everyones thoughts about preparing for FET? I did a FET in Sept. of 2007 with a positive result, 1st try with new clinic. I just did another FET with a negative result. I am not sure I did as much for this transfer as far as preparing physically and wanted to get thoughts from others.
Should our bodies be prepared by some type of detox? It's funny how there are lots of people who get pregnant and abuse their bodies, but when it comes to me and I'm sure lots of others, we worry so much about what we are doing at the time and not doing, eating or not eating etc...
Are there certain times of the month that may be better? Full moon, new moon?? This can drive me crazy!!
I did a frozen embryo transfer on March 12, but 1 month before I ate healthy , no coffee, anything that has cafeine , not much exercicing, do not stress out think positive. I wish you the best luck.
I had a success with my 2nd FET. I did a few different things with that transfer. 1.-I went to a naturopath doctor. She was willing to work with me and my FET. The few things that I found most helpful were: eating a protein rich diet a couple of days before transfer, day of, and a couple of days after. She also adviced me to keep myself very well hydrated, and to put a warm water bottle on the upper part of my uterus (well, on my belly at about that level) for about 20 minutes everyday up until the day of transfer (I had to stop after the embies were transferred), she said that this would increase the blood flow towards the top of the uterus and which would encourage the embies to move in that direction. I have to say that I was also much more relaxed and less obsessed with the whole process at that point (it was my 3rd time going through it) so I had decided that I had done everything I could and should just let it go. Of course, I had my emotional ups and downs and negative thoughts every now and then (how not to? right?!), but overall I was much more relaxed than in previous cycles.
Best wishes to you, sending love and lots of baby dust <3

This is a great post. Oh course, I don't know the answer, but I'm glad you posted because it is making me think. I am considering a FET this fall and hadn't really thought about getting ready physically. I really should, so thanks for making me think about it.
I don't personally believe in the concept of "detox'ing" but I'm biased because I'm in the medical field and don't favor anything too far off the beaten path of traditional medicine. (Although i hear acupuncture is fabulous) I do however think there is much to be said for arranging our lives so that we are at a good place to handle a pregnancy. The IVF process is so stressful I think going the extra mile to take care of yourself is just a must.
