good morning everyone!!

claudia what kind of tests are you using? i think its a great sign that you saw a line!! it is confusing that it's taking so long for them to show up though. be careful with those digitals because i dont think they are as strong as some of the other tests out there! only one more day and you can stop worrying over those darn things anyway, because your beta is going to prove you are PREGNANT!!!! i'm going to be going crazy on vacation tomorrow waiting for a time i can run away and check in on you!! i have everything crossed for you!! tammy hi hun! i went in for acupuncture yesterday just to get my body relaxed and ready for the process. i am going back next thursday (the day before i start stims) and then i will go every other day during stims because i need all the help i can get during the follie growing stage since my endo makes my overies freak out on me all the time. then i will go the day before ER, and try to go the day before the ET. i will then go a few times during the 2ww just to try and keep calm and help with implantation! i know it seems like a lot, but it really helps my mind stay calm and keeps me positive because i feel like i'm doing something to help the process. plus the place i go to is awesome and its a "pay what you can " community acupuncture!!

kim you keep up that PMA girl!! thats an order!! i hope you are enjoying your restful day. how many days are you gonna stay on the couch?? keep those feet up! what did you eat for dinner last night?? i'm surprised you get such stong meds for the ET. i was told to take some tylenol before i left my house, and i didnt feel anything during the ET.

franca i know you said dont ask...but what the heck is the greys inn dental hospital? and why is DH's sperm "stuck" there?? hahahaha

lauren how did i not know you were so close to me this whole time? ive seen a few woman on these boards that go to boston IVF and they seemed to like them. i go to fertility centers of new england. my office is right by my house, and i go there for all my RE appointments and all of my SnS, but for the big events (er and et) i go to their main office in reading, ma. are you a red sox fan? i cant wait for opening day!!! i go down to boston as much as i can..i love that city! i love NH because its so peaceful and beautiful here, and i love hiking with my dog, but at the same time i miss having things open after 10PM!!! haha seriously LAME!

to everyone i missed...i am sorry...i am thinking of you all!

afm i am so happy i went back to acupuncture yesterday. everyone these is so nice and supportive. as soon as me and DH walked in the door everyone came and gave us hugs. they were glad to see us, but were sad that we got our BFN last time. i ended up being there for over 2 hours!! its like a timewarp! i love it!
so i am all packed, and am just waiting for DH to get home so we can hit the road! i dont know how often i'll be checking in this weekend, because its gonna be sunny and in the 70's so i'm gonna be outside as much as possible. the resort we are staying at is right on the ocean, and even though its way too cold to go in...i am excited to walk barefoot in the sand!! hopefully i'll win some money at the casino this time!! DH usually wins something so having him around this time might make me lucky!! i love you all and keep up that PMA while i'm away, and i cant wait to come home to a bunch of more BFP's!!!!!
oh and i almost forgot...tomorrow is my last day of BCP's!!!! OMG its been the longest 7 weeks EVER!!!

claud - you poor girl how sad you were but then when you see a pink line isn't that all worth it ... oh I am so so exited for you and overjoyed... I can't help it... way to go girl ya ya ya BFP!!! You are at the exact same stage as me and like I said mine doesn't show until like 10 mins you really got to wait for it girl... take your time and look again and again it is there... it's good someone told me to check better or I would be missing them too.

Tammy - I did acp on day of transfer about 4 hours after. About your question yes bloat/weight gain is definitly a side effect of estrogen... Keep up the good work girl.

turtle - Nope didn't show the kids yet I will wait for it to be as dark as the first line even if it takes a while so they really see it as soon as it starts going. They would not want to wait 10 min to see it better believe it, I would be along looking

You are barefoot on the sand wow I am so jalous way to go for the last BCP... you rock too. Yes I understand the longevity of a cycle that's why I wanted to do natural so they don't keep me waiting for this and that... They will be really happy to see it worked and the OB might think "ops" maybe I shouldn't have put so many back in

Hello Everyone! It is so gorgeous outside here in Cincinnati that I can hardly stand it - almost 70 degrees!! I'm excited to take my DD to the park when she wakes up from her nap!

I only have time for a few personals - have loads of work to get done for the day. I'll get caught up over the weekend....

Claud - do not fret over your POAS. There is a website if you would like more information called - you guessed it, peeonastick.com. It lists reviews and sensitivites of nearly any kind of drugstore test you can buy. Keep in mind though that the only sure test is your blood test. Keep your PMA up!!

babyluv - congrats on your BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO exciting!!!! I can't wait to hear your beta!

AFM, i got the call today and my beta was 299! I'm totally thrilled with it and will be doing a second beta on Monday for peace of mind that everything is doubling nicely! My first U/S will be April 7th - 2.5 weeks away!!! All of this waiting and waiting around!!!

babyluv: Such exciting news!!! I'm so happy for you--YAYYY!!!!

Tammy: Funny you asked about weight gain and Estrogen. I REALLY hope there's a connection because I feel like I've never been heavier. Hmmmmm....it could be because I stuff my face OR it could be the Estrogen (I'd prefer to blame it on the Estrogen!). My protocol was SnS on Day 2 and started IM Estrogen shots that night (Estrogen shots are every third night). I didn't have to go in again until Day 12---that was my lining-check appt. Started IM progesterone shots that night and had my transfer on Day 17. Is your protocol similar? Oh, and I think your chances are really good. You have THREE frosties, right? I think you have a great chance. I know what you mean about feeling nervous and sad, though. This will likely be it for us too. We have NO insurance coverage---I mean NONE---and have already paid over $30,000 out of pocket. I just don't think we can afford more treatments.

Franny: Yes, SIR. I will keep up that PMA, SIR!! They only told us to do 24 hours of bedrest, so I should be able to get up soon!! YAYY!! Yah, so the strong meds thing...I actually asked for Valium because I'm so tightly-wound and high-strung. I didn't want to take the chance that my uterus wouldn't be nice and relaxed for the transfer. Have fun this weekend. Tell us all about it when you get back (so we can live vicariously through you!!).

Misocial: How did your SnS go? I was trying to figure out from your update if you're a "go" to start stims tonight! I'm guessing you are? Do tell, my friend!

NEED REPLY FAST

SnS this am, nurse said lining looked good, overies looked good waiting for lab work should start stims this am.

Nurse just called, RE said we should wait, lining 7-11 uneven ( no shit I was bleeding to death for 2 weeks in chunks) overies looked fine lab fine. They want me to shed more try another month of BCP and provera ( which did not work last time) and try again next month.

I said if my labs are good, my overies are good and my lining seems to be 11 everytime I am in there ....I want to try anyway.
They are concerned about my out of pocket expenses for the meds. I became more insistant I want to try at least let me try 5 days till the SnS and then cancel me if I am not doing anything. She will talk to the RE and call me back.

What do you ladies think am I just being desparate?
i feel like the time is right.....I have fought for this cycle and put of with their crazy drugs, my body has never played by the books.

Marci - I have provided some information below, I hope this helps:

Thin endometrial lining - this is also uncommon. We like to see a lining of at least 8mm in thickness when measured by ultrasound at the time of maximal thickness during the cycle (see above ultrasound picture of an 11.2 mm lining).
There is some debate about "how thin is too thin", as well as to "how thick is too thick".

In general, 8-13 mm is good, less than 6 is potentially a problem, and greater than 15 or so might possibly reduce chances for successful pregnancy.

During IVF treatment, the uterine lining starts at about 3mm thick at the end of the menstrual period. After estrogen levels rise sufficiently, the lining of the uterus then thickens by about 1mm each day during IVF.

*Based on everything you have been through and you have been down this road already, I think you should go w/ your gut feelings. If you feel this is right ... go for it! Your lining is not less than 6 so, I think you're fine to at least try!

Thanks for your quick response, I am still waiting by the phone. I called my wife who agreeed whole heartedly with me. I have only had a 7 one time every other time my lining was 11. I think I am just a thick lining person. If I read that article right max thickness 8-13 at the begining of the ivf cycle is optimal is that right? Well then I should be right on track. The nurse said I was a 7 when we started the last cycle. ( a seriously surpressed 7) And because that cycle was not sucessfull we should wait for better conditions.... I am at the mercy of the RE... I guess I just needed some reassurance that I am making a sound physical/medical decision and not just thinking with my heart.
Yes my gut tells me fight...it will be ok. Ultimatly the decision is not mine so I wait by the phone.

I'm no expert, but if the lining is between 7-11, which is a good lining, why would they delay. What can they tell you about whether or not it's uneven and if that makes a difference. I thought the point of having a sufficent lining was so there is a little spot for the egg to snuggle in. If it's not too small, I'm with you and I would push forward. If you are feeling good about it, that's half the battle. When you're in a good state of mind and super positive good things will happen.

Just a quick post as I have had a very busy Friday. I've been on since 10:00 and haven't had a chance to say a word or read much.

First congrats to Claudia, Secaly, and babyluv for your BFP's! I can't believe how big our BFP crowd is now! Makes my heart swell for all of you! Enjoy your 9 months and all the prego symptoms that goes with it. You truely are blessed.

Marci I agree if your lining, ovaries, and everything on bw looked good why do they want you to wait? I second going with your gut feeling and fighting for what you feel should happen. Either way if you go with your cycle or wait I'll be here with you!

AFM - So they up'ed my follistim yesterday to 100iu and today my E2 came back at 2034! So they are cutting it back down to 50iu tonight and having me go back for another SnS tomorrow. I cried lastnight because I was so uncomfortable from my welts from the Repronex that DH insisted I talk to the RE instead of the nurses. He took one look and said that I was having more then average reaction to the drug. I guess welts are normal but not this big. He said that it wouldn't adversily effect anything and just be a little more painful for me so I should keep taking it as they direct. Oh Joy! So I will try to catch up on personals tomorrow or sunday when things arent as crazy. ~ TERESA

The nurse called back and said the Dr could see my point and agreed that I could start my stim but would like me to wait until tomorrow. SnS on Wednesday. (She was very chipper...humpf.....stop it. I may have to put my self in time out, and I cant even blame it on hormones. More like attitude problem.)
