meganlynn - Awesome news on hearing the heartbeat. Even without symptoms, it makes everything so much more real. Though I am 7w1d, my twins were measuring 6w5d yesterday. I will find out later if they will change my due date or not. You can get tickers in a few sites. There's lilpie.com and baby-gaga.com and tickerfactory.com as well. Those are the popular ones. You can also go to babystrology.com, they have a different kind of ticker, but it is not forum friendly from what I can see. You can post it to a mypsace or blog though if you wish.

karen - So happy to hear things went well. Awesome that they are giving you the star treatment making sure that you are taken care of. I am hoping for that treatment here soon. I have done a lot of reading and these bleeds are common with multiples but it still sucks. I liked your pickel story, made me laugh. lol However, I don't see a pickle being my pregnancy thing. They say since we are having twins that we are suppose to take in an extra 1000 cals a day!! UGH!

AFM - Talked to a different doc today for the results of the US. All she told me was that I had twins... well no shit! I wanted to know about the bleed. I know there were pictures of it, I showed it to the other doctor, and told her about it. All she had to say was that there was nothing in the US report that mentions bleeding. No... you are suppose to see it! I can't believe they give these people a PhD. She told me (spite all I read) that bed rest doesn't help the bleeding and I should exercise. OMG! I put myself on rest after coming back from the ER out of instinct. I starting to feel better and went downstairs and was up and around... the bleeding came back. I went back on rest and the bleeding is stopping again. If it is a subchorionic bleed and my body needs to absorb it, wouldn't it be easier to do if I were resting rather than running around? I am not taking my chances.. I'm staying put! I can't wait to see my RE on Monday. Unluckily he and my nurse have both been on vacation during this whole week so I can't get any answers from the IVF section of the hospital. Crossing my fingers... bleeding bleeding go away never come back to see another day!

Ok I just had to say that those maternity jeans are the greatest invention ever! They are so comfortable! It does take a minute to get used to the idea on pulling up a pair of jeans, but once I got over that it was so great to be able to bend and sit in the car without feeling like I was being squashed. And they were only $30 - i think i'll order some more (old navy, low rise boot cut) and their yoga pants are also super comfy too. Now if I could only find a bra that comfortable, I'd be all set.

Lou how are you doing? Please tell me that you're not working all weekend?

Meganlynn Hooray for seeing a strong heart beat! Bet you feel much more relaxed now?

Steph I forgot to tell you how much i love the pic of you & DH kissing! So sweet! I have never heard of excercise to help spotting? huh? I've always heard od rest & increased fliuds. Maybe the idea was to help you pass it faster? I dont know about that at all - did you call your Re to double check?

Karen Whew! it sounds like you are in great hand with your OB! Yeah, me too - I also thought that once we finally got that BFP we'd stop stressing - boy was I wrong! - You're too funny! I bought dill pickles yesterday too - but I never eat them, but just had to get them?

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxo

Karen - I'm so happy everything is okay with your twinkies! Yay for good news!

Katie - nope not working. Off with DH all weekend. I did play tennis this morning. Felt geat. I got 5.5 hrs of exercise in last week. Down from my usual 8-10 but it feels great to do something. I think I'll shop for some of the DVD's that Karen recommended. Yay for maternity jeans! Can't wait til I need them too!

AFM - I can't wait for my u/s to prove to me that I'm pregnant. I feel waaay too good. I seriously am doubting if there's anthing in there despite the 3 HPT's I've taken in the past week. It's really sorta unsettling not to have symptoms. Even my boobs seem the same size still. I don't get it. Maybe it's just too early still?

Lou Aw, honey - I went through the exact same thing. I'm telling you I felt completely normal and actually really good from weeks 4, 5, and 6. I was wishing for symptoms - Well I got them all - Wham all at once at 7 weeks! I spent almost 3 days in bed, thinking i picked up a bug or something! I've been very lucky to have m/s that is really on & off since then ( today is day 3 of feeling normal!) So dont worry - there are coming - but you'll wish for them to go away when they do! Have you picked up any pg books yet? I've been reading the one they call the bible for preggos "What to expect when you're expecting" it helps me to read up on whats going on embryo wise this week and tells you in an easy format what you're going through bodywise. They have a website also - but i feel like they send me emails 10 x a day - so forget that! Enjoy your weekend with DH & enjoy feeling good while it lasts! - much love xoxo

Katie - Thanks for the compliment. The picture was actually turned into our wedding poster. You know how some people have a piture and everyone at the wedding signs stuff around it? Well, that's what we did. :) As far as the advice I got from the doctor, yeah I think she is nuts. I suppose she told me to exercise because I told her that I have put myself on rest since the bleeding and she doesn't see a need for me to be resting. I am sure she doesn't mean for me to do a lot, but she prefers me moving... I prefer me staying put. It is boring and not what I want to do, but I feel like it is what I have to do to make sure whatever kind of bleed I have goes away. I am sure my RE will be able to tell me what it is. Hopefully it will be gone by then though. I tried letting my RE know about all this, but he and the rest of the IVF staff are on vacation till Monday, so I have to wait till my appointment. Hopefully he can confirm a subchorionic bleed or a 3rd embie miscarriage or something other than... you have a twin pregnancy. I have faith in him to take care of me and give me answers.

Ktelise- yes I was able to see the heart beat with the abdominal u/s. I guess I'm far enough along to see it. It was easy to see and I really liked the point of view that the abdominal machine gives you b/c you can see everything in a frame of reference to the other organs around your uterus.

Katie- I'm going to Old Navy on Monday to try on some jeans and other maternity pants. I even received a 30% off coupon so I'm going to get them for real cheap! And Happy Birthday to you tomorrow! I know what you mean about time flying. November marks the big 4-0 for me! But I don't care. Age is just a marker to keep track of stuff happening!

Lou- Your symptoms will show up. Believe us all! Although I'm sure the exercise will help alot to keep things from going too extreme..but you can be sure one day you will wake up and feel different! My OB said I can't exercise like I want to yet given I just had that bleeding episode. He said to wait until I got 2-3 days without any spotting before doing more exercise. So right now I'm still stuck with "dog walking" and light stretches. Very frustrating.

MeganLynn- Congrats on the heart beat! Isn't it a surreal experience. My DH and I were just amazed by it when we saw ours. We talked about it all day.

Steph- I noticed that when I was having my bleeding episode, when I laid down, it did get slower. And once I moved around it seemed like it came back all of a sudden. My OB said it most likely was that some blood had pooled in the vagina when you are lying down...and when you get up gravity moves it down. so it seems like it gets heavier, but it probably isn't. That made sense to me. Unless your blood is still red (which means active or recent bleeding) you should be ok. But you do need to take it easy until you get to see your RE so he/she can give you the best advice. Having gone through this recently myself, I know what you are feeling. I have all brown super light discharge today that comes and goes. So even though I feel relieved all is ok, it still reminds me to take it easy until NOTHING comes out! Also, my OB said 300 extra calories per day per baby. So that is only 600 calories extra for us twin mommies. Don't go over board. We don't want to gain too much weight and increase our risks for complications. This is why I'm dying to be able to do my cardio again! And I agree with Katie....love the pic of you and DH!

Karen - When I first had the bleeding it was bright red, the next day got brown and didn't spill out on the pad so I was feeling better that it might had stopped. I moved around some more, up and down stairs, went outside and hung out with a neighbor. All of a sudden I bled again, fresh blood and passed a clot. I put myself back on rest and it seems to be healing cause the blood is darker again and not coming out on the pad. Looks like the end of a period really. I have gotten up to go to the restroom and take a shower and such, nothing is happening because of gravity so I am really hoping that it is healing. I like the 600 cals rather than the 1000 extra. lol Not sure I could hit the 1000 if I tried anyway. lol I read it was 500 per baby, but haven't heard anything from RE yet about it since I haven't been able to be in touch with him or the staff. We will have loads of questions on Monday. :) Thank you for the compliment on the pic as well. :)

What have you heard or read about a subchorionic bleed? I have read all kinds of things, some scary some incouraging. I read that mom's with multipules are more likely, and read that there is no telling who is more likely. I read that it is a bleed between the uterin wall and the placenta, but my bleed appeared to be in a different area per my u/s (even though the doc who called me didn't see it, the doc who originally looked at it did see it.) Then I read that it accurs because of the rapid growth of the gestational sac.

Part of me (through remembering all details about this whole ordeal) thinks that I had a third baby. My reasoning behind this conclusion is because originally when I went to the ER, the doctor saw one baby and a possible other one closer to the cervix. Second ER visit, I am bleeding and they can see a baby and a possible sac that didn't have a baby in it... but also thought they saw something high up in the uterus that their machine couldn't focus on. Then I have the first actual u/s where there are easily two babies with two healthy heartbeats. The one that the ER docs both saw is the bigger one, closest to the cervix, baby B is high up in the uterus (measuring smallest)... so where is the "poosible" that was close to the cervix that even the first doc saw? The "sac" closest to the cervix is what the tech told me looks like where the bleeding is coming from. On top of this, my beta numbers didn't double quite as much as I thought they should have. So, maybe I did miscarry? Maybe it was always just a sac and didn't have a baby in it and my body got rid of it? When I had my first bleed, it was a watered down bleed at first. I might not ever get a real answer if this is the case, but if anyone could follow all of that... what are your opinions?

I am 7 weeks 4 days pregnant today and I am wondering when everyone started to get really sore breasts? I am waiting for mine to be OMG sore and this has not happened yet. I do have a lot of veins and they are heavier but I notice that one day they may feel really heavy and the next not quite so much then one day I will feel some tingling and then the next day not...so frustrating! I am waiting for the soreness I had with my DS.....any thoughts on this??

ktelise - I don't remember my boobs getting sore with my DD until after birth. They got huge, but they didn't get sore during pregnancy. This time, my boobs got sore pretty quick but are now not hurting as much. I guess it is like you always hear... each pregnancy is different.

Hi ladies,

Been away for a few days but nice to be back home relaxing.

Steph sounds like rest is good for you, bleeding is scary even if they tell you its ok so you are right to listen to your own body and its not as if it can do any harm.

Katie Happy Birthday hope you had a nice relaxing day cant believe your ticker has just gone over the 9 wk mark!!!

Karen it must have been lovely seeing your babies again and i am delighted to hear they are both ok.

Lou only a week to go and you will see your little baby and then you will believe you really are pregant plus the swollen belly in a few wks time will be a dead give away

Ronda how are you doing??

Hope hows the m/s, is the meds working at all??

ktelise some peoples bbs dont really get too sore a friend of mine always knew she was pg because of the veins on her bbs but they were never sore.

AFM think i may be developing evening sickness  its mild enough and in last few days has started late in evening with nausua, cant stand too long in shower and feel very shaky so far its only lasting couple of hours but its nice to feel something though my bbs are sensitve sometimes more than others though until i see a healthy little baby i too wont believe i am pregnant!!!

Sorry to those i have missed hope everyone had a nice weekend, it was great this morning we stayed over in js sisters house and everyone had a hangover except me dont you just love self infliction

Steph,
glad to hear the bleeding has slowed down!. Cannot wait to hear what your RE says today!. Twin mommy!

Katie,
Happy belated b-day!. I will be having a birthday myself on Tuesday. Ugh, how did that happen??

lou,
don't wish for m/s.....mine has hit full force and its awful (in a totally glad I'm pg kind of way).

gi,
Sounds like you m/s has started too!. Glad you are able to take it easy and you should. Its your bodies way of making you slow down.

ktelise,
I think every pg is different. I had really sore (.)(.) with my first pg, but not with my second. I have the same tingling you described, but they are not really sore. They also feel "heavy" sometimes. Maybe we will miss out on the OMG soreness!

afm, had to get ready for oldest DD's 5th b-day this weekend. I was sick as a dog and trying to get the house cleaned and the food ready. UGH. Lucky my dh knew he had better pitch in or I might have blown a gasket. The food got done, the house cleaned, but I didn't have time to shower and looked every bit as frazzled as I felt. Oh well, at least dd had a great time!

Hi ladies - I've been MIA for over a week and this thread just goes crazy! Thankfully in a good way!

I'm at work right now so I'll just give an update and then hopefully get to personals in the next day or so.

I have had a rough couple of weeks. I had about a week where I had a migraine every other day. I was taking fioricet which contains caffeine, tylenol, and a mild barbituate. I was very hesitant to take it at first but was assured by the doctor that it would be fine in moderation. Then last Monday I got the worst headache I have had in a while. I tried to take my last two pills and threw them right up. So when I called the OB afterhours nurse, they prescribed me vicodin. I thought they were crazy. Again they assured me that it would be safe in moderation. I took two over a period of 8 hours and it did nothing for my headache. Luckily after Monday the headaches went away and I have felt much better. On top of all of that, I have had low PMA just because of the timing of everything. I wasn't showing at all and let that get me worried. Well this weekend my belly "popped" a little so things are starting to feel more like they should. It's been so long since I had my DS that I just don't remember how all of this works so it's stressing me out!

I have my 12 week u/s this Friday 3/26 which is the one where they will measure the back of the necks and check for Down's. Of course, we did PGD and are almost positive that the babies are healthy, but we wanted to do the screening just to be safe. And of course another u/s is nice too.

Katie - for your schedule my EDD is October 7.

I am really hoping to be on here more. Work is crazy as usual and we are having our hardwoods refinished due to a leak in our dishwasher so we are staying with my parents for overa week. Needless to say things are kind of chaotic. At a minimum I will update after my appointment Friday.
