For those who've had BFP, how many days after transfer?

Post by Ems1971 »

I'm due to test Thurs but the temptation to POAS is killing me...
How many days post transfer should a BFP show, if its going to?

My advice - wait for the BETA. I did not POAS and don't regret it for one second, but that's just me. My beta was 9dp5dt, and it was LOW. It probably would have come up as negative if I had POAS. Hang in there and best of luck to you!

Hi
I'm in the UK and my clinic don't do Beta. We just have to do a HPT 14 days after transfer.
Will try and wait until test day.

Ahhhhhh I see. That is a totally different scenario then. I know most people do POAS, but I'm not sure when they do it. I would go ahead and start today, but do NOT get down if it shows negative. Like I said, if the number is low, it may take a few more days to register. :D

You "should" see a positive 14 days after retrieval. But as dogzrule said, it's not always the case! Good luck!!

I was told that i might get a postive 5 days after a 5 day transfer - so 10 days after retrieval but that was really early and to try again at like 7 days and 9 days and 11 days. I broke down and tested 3 days after a 5 day transfer - so 8 days from retrieval and got BFP but im having twins. With my son i think i waited till 10 days after retrieval to start and had a weak bfp. In my opinion, its better to prepare yourself at home then get that crappy negative beta call at work. good luck!
