Latest Twinnie scan

Post by Tracey S »

Hi

Just got back from the lastest scan and it was fabby - I am 25 weeks tomorrow and can't believe it  :D
Both the girls are fine and moving all over the place - infact just above average for their dates which is fab -twin one on my left is head down and spine presenting and has staked her territory well and truly - she is not giving an inch to her sister and is now 2lb!!!!!!!! Twin two on the right is very feisty (not sure where that comes from) as opposed to obstinate (wondering where DH comes in to this at all! ) and is breech with her head shoved up under my ribs and out the right side. She will probably go transverse across the top they reckon and she is 1.5lb - they are only 12mm different in size. At the moment they reckon twinnie obstinate number one will stay head down and be the leading baby so therefore a natural birth is on the cards - ouch but may as well go for it girls even at my age.
Otherwise they are fine and back in 4 weeks for more photos.
Love to all
Tracey

HI Tracey,
it seems your gilrs are developing so well, I am thrilled for you! It is great they are good size and also that the position gives you a chance for natural birth! It must be such a relief to see them again!
I also saw my babies yesterday, they seem ok after the ordeal of last week which has hopefully had more toll on me than them. In fact the boy who lost teh fluid seems to be bigger! the other baby we still do not know the sex of but they think it might be a girl. well, that's one thing the amnio's good for, I should know in 2 weeks. In the meantime we will take a work/holiday trip and tell my dp's boys. I am a bit worried how they will react but hope for the best. your stepchildren were wonderful, werent' they, being so glad?
love,

hihi tracey, glad scan went well, i can totally understand how u are feeling
at the mo, ive just come back from my 21 1/2 wk scan, i was so
apprehensive, that when i got on the couch i just burst into tears and
couldnt stop crying !!!!!!, anyway after sorting myself out, it was great
to see little junior, who was being a bit stubborn when it came to
checking out the heart, would not move,
so had to do a but of jumping on the spot
with very little response, my dp said i wonder who junior takes after !!!!!!
Anyway feeling very relieved but still a bit emotional.
juliana, pleased your scan went well yesterday, so u found out u are
having a boy, it would be lovely if twin 2 is a girl, hope your trip/holiday
goes well.

That's fantastic news Tracey. You and your hubby must be just so excited, it's not too far off now.

Natural birth isn't nearly so bad as you imagine.........unless of course you're someone who has had a terrible time.... Luckily i didn't, I found it to be more tiring than painful........from what I remember anyway. My problem was that I was too busy worrying about delivering something 'brown' (I'm sorry I've lowered the tone!) along with the baby, so wasn't really pushing properly for quite a while.

Anyway, thrilled at your news, you take care.

Thanks everyone - you are always so great at replying!

Sue I had to snigger - sorry but it is funny - will let you know if I have double brown - sorry folks!

Juliana - big sigh of relief here about you - let's keep fingers crossed for a girl hey so you can have some mix and match and the boys can all fight over her! YEp my two step children are so excited they talk about it all the time - want to know if they can take one home! Said no - I mean honestly couldn't let one go (even if I wanted to) back to the mad bint from hell could I - she still thinks I am having them next August and have the gestation of an elephant!

Phil - not long for you now - 14th July the day before my birthday - DH laughed today as I am 15th July and he is 16th July - same year 1966 and was saying wouldn't it be funny if I was in labour those two days  Hilarious I don't think   TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!!

Alison - glad the scan went well - start looking forward - how is the shopping - started yet? I have nearly finished - DH will die when he sees the credit card bill this month - think we need to remorgage!
I am sure they have seen all the emotions before. I just go quiet - well quieter - no funny remarks from you lot either.
Anyone heard a peep from Lisa Chang at all - she is very quiet?

Tracey

So glad your scan went brilliant and both girls are doing great.
You are measuring 30 weeks i read i bet you don't have a bump problem now eh (i could not think of the proper word i hope you understand my pg brain has got worse i almost went into the gents toilet today in a restaurant i kept looking at the ladies sign but followed the wrong one a man had to say to me).
Sounds as if there could be trouble ahead with your girls when they are born they sound very head strong already and they know what they want.

Take care

Tracey

Glad scan went well today, I was think of you laying there paincking, wow good sizes, do they think you will go to term?? not sure about the natural bit...doing it once might be bad enought but twice..OMG
and with the brown thing aswell, that has just turned me off Mr wippy and a flake forever..

My sister inlaw had hers in the bath and the brown thing YUK!!!!!, every time I go round there to the loo I look in the bath, sends a shiver down my spin.......that is my biggest fear sod the birth just don't deliver the brown thing, my plan is not to eat anything for a few days before, and make sure that I go before hospital
Sorry to lower the tone, but things have been rather sensible on here latley.
If we were having girls I think we would be bankrupt by now, so my DH breathed a sigh of relife when they said a boy, althought I've not done so bad, been hiding things in the wardroube for now, had a few twinges last night, but was so tired just went back to sleep, think it was just wind, but we won't go there...
Anyway take care and so glad your scan went well, maybe you can relax a bit now..........
Love

Great news to hear that the girls are doing so well Tracey.

As for the brown thing, why do you think I had a caesarean?!!!

Thanks you lot - Sue what have you started with the brown thing! Honestly Wibbs I was off to get a ripple but gone off the idea now! CAn;t tell at this stage if I will go full term but they see no reason as yet for me not to go to 36 and then see........... Yikes
Jules - did you opt for C or did they make you have one. I am still worried - not so much about me but the girls - just want them safe - you all know the thing.

Wibbs - not long for you now - yikes - how are you feeling and yes you have been very sensible - I can only presume it was Nik that set us off all this time not me

Helen G - they are growing so fast - I have just had a piccie off Sarah of herself at 30 weeks which has put the fear of god into me! She also sent me a piccy of her two at 4 months - they are gorgeous - mind you so are max and harvey - their photos were lovely!

Helen REid - yes they do have bloody mindedness already - that's me foks - yikes!
HAve a lovely weekend all of you

Hi Tracey

I had a caesarean because Charlotte was transverse. In theory I had no need for one because she was Twin 2 and Daniel, the presenting twin was head down. But as she didn't move from that position for the last half of my pregnancy, it didn't look very likely that she'd move during labour, meaning I'd have to have a normal birth for Daniel and an emergency c-section for her. I was advised that it would be safer to have a caesarean so did.

It's a shame that there's nowhere on here to put piccies. I'd love to see pictures of Max and Harvey (as well as show off my two gorgeous children).

Jules

Thanks for that - they think this might happen with my twin two as twin one has stake out her territory and twin two is shoving out my ribs to the right but they think she might then turn across. They seem to think they will miracoulsy then turn after the birth of twin one - mmmm - might have to ask about that!

Re the photos - totally agree - mind you I have quite a collection if you ever want me to email you any - Sarah's and Helens and Nikola's for starters!

Tracey,

I'd love to see the piccies of the other twins if Nikola, Helen and Sarah don't mind. I've taken the liberty of sending you pics of Daniel and Charlotte so you can see my little horrors (Charlotte's just completely emptied out one of the draws where I'd hidden loads of rubbish!).
