IVF and miscarriage

Post by Sh@bby »

I posted this once, but I do not think it worked since I can not find it.

I have had 2 ectopics which lead to the discovery that my tubes are damaged and can not have a baby naturally. I had my embryo transfer about 2 months ago and was successful in getting pregnant. One week later I had a miscarriage. I have 3 embryos that were frozen on day 5, but are are not the highest quality. I am wondering if someone has gone through FET and was successful on their first attempt? What process did you have to go through once you were ready to try again. I know I will have to be on birth control, I wonder once I start those how long will I need to wait to have the transfer done. Obviously, I have only had a transfer with fresh embryos so I do not know what to expect. Sh@bby

Wow how uncanny we have a similar history. I also had 2 ectopic pregnancies but my 3rd pregnancy I had a DD. Now I try to have another with no luck. I still have a tube which I was always told was good but my age might be a factor also, plus I tend to ovulate on the side with no tube. I also had a miscarriage but from my FET cycle. It is soooo much easier doin an FET than a fresh. The protocol is a little fuzzy for me to remember. I think I did estradoil pills , and steroids and antibiotics. Then of course the progesterone shots  Less DR appts though only a couple of them in the cycle. FET was awesome I can deal with the shots Oh I was suppressed on ganarelix most use lupron though. I got preggo with a 2-cell and a 4-cell embryo which is considered a 2-day embryo. I think FET is alot easier on your body, which I feel makes it easier for your body to be receptive. I have no more frosties so I have to do another Fresh. Good luck with your FET, it is a like vacation from the fresh. I was soooo much more relaxed.
