DrBoots – what type of blood work did they take that they gave the results to you today?

Ladies – I hope everyone is doing well out there. I can’t wait to read your post later today.

AFM- Me RE’s nurse called me today and told me that out of the 10 eggs 9 fertilized today and that she will call me tomorrow for another report on the embryos. My ET is still scheduled for Tuesday for a (5day) blast transfer at 11:30am. I am happy that my DH is able to take off from work so he can be there for the transfer. I am still very nervous about only transferring 1 embryo and I spoke to the embryologist about it yesterday before my ER and she said that is what she recommends also. She said their single transfer rates have been just as high as a 2 embryo transfer. My RE did say their success rates are higher than other facilities. I am putting my faith in them and I am really hoping this works for us this time! Well, I started the Xanax three times a day and I am so very tired … I sure hope I get use to this by Monday so I can drive to my doctors’ offices for work! I am off work today also so that I can get use to the 7 medications that I have to take each day … lol!

Angela - wow, great fertilization rate!!! come on embies: grow, grow, grow! don't worry about the things you can't control - that lil lucky embie that gets transferred on Tuesday is going to need a nice, calm momma.

Hi Ladies, just popping on to update and hope everyone has a great weekend.

The Dr's office called and said the other 2 didn't make it to freeze. I am finding the positive (that I saved $1500 for the cryo!!!!) but my bloodwork came back perfect!

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. I am driving up to CT tomorrow morning to visit my family for Easter.I usually get to see them once a month, but it feels like it has been FOREVER!!!!

AFM - lots of masses to go to everyday until Easter... Anyone else here Catholic celebrating Easter? What I hate is my dh doesn't care about Church and Mass so I go alone or with the kids and he gives me crap because there is just too many masses at Easter... Like it's not me that makes those rules goodness. And too it should not bother him like normally I take all hte kids and so he gets to sleep in or rest or I make sure my baby is sleeping when I leave and when I return... Like yesterday the Priest asked us to come back for a holy hour from 11pm to 12am... Like I was happy to go cause I could and dh says wow it seams that there are more and more masses each year... OH well!!!

Thanks and congrats again to you too, Helene. I think there is only one in there, based on my betas. But who knows - we put three in there...
As far as Easter masses, I don't seem to remember there being more than one. We only went on Sunday morning.

OMG THEY R PUTTING THE LITTLE BABIES BK IN 2MOR DOES IT HURT WHAT CANT I DO AFTER XXX

It doesn't hurt, but it may be a little uncomfortable. They have you drink about a liter of water & keep your bladder full during the procedure. It's a really quick procedure (like 10 minutes) and then after laying down for about another 15 minutes, you can urinate & go home...and that's it. Don't worry about it - it will be fine!!!

I have bad new...it looks as though I'm having a misscarriage...started to get bad cramps ans when I went to the bathroom my underpants were stained red and I passed a bunch of blood clots. I am so angry and upset and I go in tomorrow for an SnS but it doesn't look good...

Oh no, Claudia! Don't give up yet! There's a few ladies on the "other side" who had lots of bleeding & it turned out okay (was from the cervix, I think). My whole body is crossed for you for your SnS!

Claudia - Don’t panic … ask your RE if you can take Advil. I know that is sounds crazy but there are studies that say that it calms the uterus down and will slow if not stop the cramping. I know they say not to take Advil while you are pregnant but that is for the last trimester affecting the ductus arteriosus. It is a NSAID (so it helps w/ imflammation). I went through the same thing during my first fresh IVF and I had twins. The bleeding was coming from the other embryo that didn’t fully implant (I was later diagnosed w/ vanishing twin). IT stared when I was 4 ½ wks pregnant and it lasted for about 2 or so weeks. Also, you have to have immediate bed rest and try not to stress. I was so upset when I started bleeding and I was at work but I was in full panic mode (it was bright red blood w/ clots also). When they did my u/s later that week, after I kept insisting, my other baby had a great HB. Please keep us updated!

Winnie - Have a nice Easter. i hope you get a lot of good eggs lol!!!!

Kushka - I also have 5 in the freezer and am also worried about the thaw. As far as alcohol goes, when I 1st started stims for an IUI I asked a stuffy nurse if I could drink and was told, "Women who are trying to conceive should not be drinking alcohol." Other nurses have said that you can drink until the emryos are transferred in. My first IVF ER was Jan 2, 2010. I had a S & S the day before New Years Eve and the U/S tech said since I had not triggered yet at least I could drink on NYE! I told her what the nurse had said before and she said everyone drinks and if in moderation it's no big deal. That being said I did not drink on NYE anyway! Too bloated and exhausted from estrogen. I have drank while stimming though. I don't go crazy and get drunk like when I was 21 lol. I try to stay away from alcohol while stimming, but if I am at a function or something that happens to fall during that time, I will have a few drinks. I have also heard that with certain meds...Lupron? that alcohol is definitely not recommended.

AFM - I am doing these stupid patches, which by the way hurt alot to take off. My regular nurse was not in when I 1st got my instructions to change the patch every 4th day. I thought if I put in on on Sunday, that meant to put a new one on Wednesday. They only gave me 8 patches, so I called my regular nurse to double check and I've been changing my patches 1 day early...oops! I am going in 1 week for S & S, and then hopefully Monday April 12 will be my transfer!

Claudia - I just saw your post!!!! I am crossing everything for you too!!!!!! I have read of a lot of pregnant people bleeding, and supposedly it is common with IVF. What did RE say? I am praying for you!

Angela-So happy for your 90% fert report!! I am so torn on the question of how many to transfer. Did one last time, w/ BFN. We change our minds daily about what to do this time.

Dr Boots- yay for being pupo on Easter, wave as you drive thru CT, w/ my ER on Sunday, we're not going anywhere!

Emma-the transfer is the easy part, just don't drink toooooooo much water, ugh!

Oh Claudia - I forgot to ask … what dosage and kind (injections/suppositories/ oral) of progesterone are you taking? Maybe you need to increase the dose. When is the last time they checked your progesterone level?
